@Kay00 good suggestions from @Juno231 and @TheDaydreamBelievers. Still so difficult to navigate but hope telling your mum might even allow you some additional support through all this and maybe she can think up a way to adjust plans without your sister knowing.

Kay00 · 01/02/2022 14:18

@TheDaydreamBelievers @Gracie2021 yes, I like this idea. I will aim to tell my mum, and suggest we change the destination to somewhere cooler - or in Europe. I think she would want to do that rather than go on holiday with my sister alone (for the above mentioned reasons).

@Gracie haha, its option B. She would sincere to begin with, but at some point she'll get upset (with me/mum/the world in general) and use my infertility to hurt me emotionally. She has already said quite a few upsetting things (about how she would never have a baby in her 30's because older mums are not as good... and other crap like that) without even knowing I'm trying. I'm 36 for reference.

Kay00 · 01/02/2022 14:20

We can always have the 'holiday of a life time' in 2024 or 2025, even if my sister keeps telling my mum she needs to go 'now' before she's too
old to walk (eyeroll). For reference, my mum is only 57.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 01/02/2022 14:25

I think she should be able to walk a while longer... @Kay00 Grin Your sister sounds... A challenge. I've felt v lucky in my family being easy to tell about this stuff. Though my mum asks a lot of Q's! My brother also tells her off for telling him things I've told her without checking it's okay (it's fine as my brother and I are close - he just models good boundaries!)

Gracie2021 · 01/02/2022 14:41

Your mother is only a spring chicken @Kay00 ! And yes plenty of time for the tropics later. She sounds like a piece of work. Definitely don't give ammunition for her to hurt you but really hope it goes positively telling your mum.

Kay00 · 01/02/2022 14:42

Your brother sounds very lovely! Haha, yes... a challenge. My sister can be amazing (fun, giggly, happy, full of energy), but she's good at a back-handed compliment, and is very manipulative. My mum is a mental health nurse and suspects my sis is borderline personality disorder, but the subject of diagnosis is not worth even broaching with my sis, as she is always 'right' and does 'no wrong', and it would likely result in one of her nightmarish tantrums.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 01/02/2022 17:27

Sorry, back to Q's I have asked before. Those of us with irregular cycles / ?PCOS or PCOS diagnoses, what supplements do you take? Reading about Myo inositol and D Chiro ratios and aware that in the past the one I took was Myo inositol only when both is better!

SkeletonSkins · 01/02/2022 19:28

@Kay00 oooo that’s a bit of a tricky situation. Sounds like Mexico is totally ruled out but it’s frustrating that we can’t keep these things to ourselves and have tbe lovely ‘surprise, I’m pregnant!!’ that others get.

Re my temp, my temp has stayed fairly high but not massively high to make me absolutely convinced I’ve ovulated. Confusingly I’ve had loads of EWCM too the past few days so no idea what’s going on. Wait and see I guess! At least it seems like my body is making an effort.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I take Inofolic Acid which includes myo-inositol, I also take NAC, a multi vitamin and Spearmint capsules. The spearmint has had a massive impact on my acne so I do rate that.

Kay00 · 02/02/2022 09:33

@TheDaydreamBelievers I take:

Conceive Plus Ovulation Support (4 x capsules a day):

  • Folic Acid 100ug
  • Myo-Insitol 2000mg
  • CoQ10 50mg
  • Ginger 50mg

Conceive Plus Fertility support (2 x capsules a day):

  • General pre-natal muti-vitamin including 400ug Folic acid and Vitamin B complex

1 x Vitamin D 1000IU (although I might increase this to 4000IU improve egg quality)

Metformin 2000mg (4 tablets) daily

Mummysparrow · 04/02/2022 16:41

Hi
I just want to pop on and see how people were doing. I have changed my username. I was trying4one and part of the chat back at the end of 2020 when I conceived my little girl. I was hoping it was all going to be full of names that I didn't recognise and that all the lovely ladies I were speaking to back then had their BFP by now. I think of you all time to time and keep my fingers crossed.
My little girl is 7 months old and I have no bloody idea where that time has gone. I hope you are all keeping well xxx

ChinChilly · 04/02/2022 18:26

@Mummysparrow I remember you!! So lovely to hear you and baby are doing well!!

Well we went for a gender scan today.. but i have no gender news as the little monkey crossed their legs the entire time even after a walk, a glass of orange juice and an ice lolly baby wasn't having any of it! So back next week to try again 😅

Hope you're all doing ok, I keep my eyes peeled on here for any BFPs!!

Mummysparrow · 04/02/2022 18:33

I am so happy to hear you are expecting @ChinChilly.
Sods law isnt 🙈 do you have a feeling of what you are having? I thought I was having a girl and I was right.
Yeah we are well. I am back at work full time and she is absolutely loving childminders. Suits her down to the ground as she is so nosy and loves watching the other kids 😂

Kay00 · 05/02/2022 08:11

@mummysparrow I remember you too of course! Congratulations on your little girl! Time does indeed fly!

@chinchilly oh no haha 😆 sounds like your little one has a contrary streak 😄 or a good sense of humour already 😄

No news from me. I'm 10dpo on 19th cycle since starting TTC, and my 5th cycle of Clomid. Not a single second line in that time. I'm mentally (and monetarily) gearing myself up for IVF.

Wishing you both the very best xx

ChinChilly · 05/02/2022 09:01

@Mummysparrow I know haha I've always had a feeling its boy not sure why just a gut feeling. Ahh that's lovely she likes the childminders that must be a relief when being a work knowing she's happy.

@Kay00 Yep LO was just not in the mood yesterday, she showed us some 4d stuff and we were just getting a glimpse of thier little face then an arm and a hand appeared over the face 🤣🤣 Ahh when do you think you'll start the ball rolling with ivf?

Juno231 · 05/02/2022 09:03

@kay00 I'm still hoping you'll get your bfp last minute xx

@Mummysparrow hi!! Can't believe your girl is 7 months already, that's insane! Did you enjoy maternity leave?

@ChinChilly aah what a cheeky monkey! Does that mean you have to pay for it again? And I second mummysparrow - do you have a feeling what it could be?

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and all was looking great 😊. Active baby was doing head stands and kicking all over the place. Measuring ahead again so due date has now been set as 11/08. I feel like I can finally start believing it now!

Juno231 · 05/02/2022 09:04

@ChinChilly cross post!

ChinChilly · 05/02/2022 09:09

@Juno231 Just pay the once, she said they'll just keep bringing me back for rescans until the little monkley cooperates! At one point baby was lying there with their hands behind their head relaxing 🤣 the orange juice and ice lolly got them moving but was being super stubborn with the leg crossing. To be honest I don't mind, every scan is a reassurance for me.

Mummysparrow · 05/02/2022 09:28

@ChinChilly did you look at the nub theory and skull theory from the 12 week scan? I guessed girl based on her skull shape.
@Juno231 I know, it is crazy how time flies. Well I did and I didn't. It is very hard and I didn't get to do half the stuff I thought I would do 😂 no one tells you that you will spend half the time trying to get a baby to nap 😂😂

ChinChilly · 05/02/2022 09:37

@Mummysparrow I did, I don't think I can see a nub on the 12 week scan and to be honest I can't tell from the skull 🤣 my aunt said based on the skull she thinks boy.

Kay00 · 06/02/2022 21:30

Hehe @chinchilly. A boy would be lovely 😍

@Juno231 I'd love that too, but it seems unlikely.

I'm 11dpo and have had a tiny smidge of spotting the last two days... its a bit rubbish really because my LP is currently around 16/17dpo. Last cycle I started spotting from 13dpo, and this cycle from 10dpo! The only thing I changed these last two cycles is I've stopped taking the B-Complex throughout my LP (which I traditionally took to help lengthen my LP)... so that's annoying. I might restart taking them again next month.

Tillybabs · 07/02/2022 11:11

Hi ladies

I've been quiet on here as nothing much happening and having my hysterocopy later this month

@Kay00 I went to Mexico last month. I weighed up my options and the risk of Zika there now is low and I took precautions and put repellant on with deet all day every day.

I didn't get bitten once and I'm prone to misquote bites.

It's up to you. If pregnant I would never go but if not, the risk is small imo.

Tillybabs · 07/02/2022 11:13

Mosquito bites I meant!

@ChinChilly lovely to see all is going well, really pleased for you.

Tillybabs · 07/02/2022 11:21

@Kay00 I should probably add we purposely didn't ttc last month and booked last minute. It's trickier if you are looking to book so much in advance because you don't know what the future holds.

Kay00 · 07/02/2022 13:26

@Tillybabs Thank you! That's all very good to hear :) Also... how was your holiday? I hope you had a lovely time in the sun?

I noticed today that the pregnancy vitamins that I bought nearly two years ago on a 3 for 2 offer (I bought 2 x pre-natal vits and 1 x pack of pregnancy vits... in my naive hope that it would catch quickly) is out of date... bah!

Also today my boobs and back are killing me and I'm super bloated... progesterone sucks! Grin

Tillybabs · 07/02/2022 14:54

@Kay00 it was lovely thanks and much needed. I've been really quiet on here generally as nothing much has been happening.
