Morning all, hope you’ve all had a nice weekend. @ChinChilly when is your rescan this week? How exciting and lovely that you get to see them again!

Been quite quiet as just been waiting to see what happens really. My body has had a real go at ovulating so now just waiting to see if it achieved it. Had a slight temp increase this morning but would have liked more really! Slightly sore nipples today so hoping that’s the progesterone kicking in and I have ovulated 🤞🤞

I also spoke to my doctor this week and got referred to fertility. Gynae said they would refer me in April if the metformin doesn’t work but with the length of waiting lists I figured it was worth pushing to be referred now. Need my DH to get his sperm analysis done which he’s overjoyed about…

How are you all getting on?

@SkeletonSkins it sounds very promising for ovulation!

I think you should push for referral as soon as possible. If you start regular ovulation through Metformin, that would be excellent, but its not a fertility drug and if you have PCOS then you might have other issues that can be better addressed using Clomid or other therapies.

Yes they’ve referred me now so at least I’m on that waiting list, however long it happens to be! I’m also considering whether a private consultation might be a good move.

@SkeletonSkins rescan is Thursday morning! I know the change in short space of time is amazing. My OH had a right bee in his bonnet about getting his SA done, luckily for him he managed to get out of it as I fell pregnant again. They've got a cheek though with all the invasive stuff we have to have done compared to them jizzing in a pot 🤣

I know I felt like saying, listen mate, if I can do Dildo Cam and all the rest of it, you can absolutely do this one thing!!

@Kay00 sorry to hear the progesterone beast had caught you. I HATE progesterone. She is the devil. How are you feeling today? Also have you made any decisions about the holiday?

@SkeletonSkins here's hoping you ovulated and fingers crossed. Glad you got on the wait list too. Just wondering have you had your AMH tested at all?

I'm mid IVF cycle here and going pretty badly. A brief summary is meds mix up and tiny amount of follicles. Been on the cusp of cancelling the cycle since the first scan and have the third tomorrow so we'll see what it brings. Getting my AMH retested as my doctor thinks it's probably halved since it was done last summer and might be looking at multiple rounds of IVF to try bank some embryos. So big updates in a matter of a few days. Just trying to put a new plan in place and get all my questions together for our doctor tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. Could be better but could be worse too so just trying to keep the chin up and hope we get answers about this cycle soon.

@Gracie2021 Sending you lots of positive energy and I'm keeping everything crossed that a new plan can be put in place that you will be pleased with on Monday.

Progesterone is indeed a bitch... and i'm having to hold my boobs as I run up and down the stairs (lol), but its really nothing to complain about xx

I'm looking forward to meeting up with my friend today, the only one I have told I'm TTC, as she has spent the last 6 months in Norway, and I'm keen to offload . She has a lot to tell me too! #therapy !

Oh no @Kay00 I'm like that here on stims actually. Actually can't not wear a bra at the minute and usually you'd have to force me into one lol. Do you have any sensitive teeth issue? One weird progesterone side effect I noticed. So glad you get your therapy session with your friend. Nothing like it. Hope you can have a few treats while ye chat too and come up with a plan of action for it all. Highly recommend planning a girlie night away to look forward to as well. If this gets cancelled I have a long walk planned with my friend at the weekend. Would be a wonderful exit out of our Covid isolation bubble.

@Gracie2021 sorry to hear about the IVF, sending you a virtual hug and hope your appointment goes well tomorrow.

Nothing to report from me CD15 and I'll start temping again from tomorrow morning. Would usually start a few days earlier but forgot where I out the thermometer 😂

@Gracie2021 @MissC07 Thanks it was lovely catching up with my friend and spending time with her toddler (my non-god son), it really is like therapy.

I'm 14DPO, FF thinks my temps are on an upward trend and has given me 80 'early pregnancy signs' points because (i suspect) of the spotting I had on 10 and 11DPO. But there is no hope fortress being built here... I think I'm too salty!

So glad you had a good break @Kay00 and enjoyed the chats/therapy. And maybe even a few treats too. Too salty for hope fortresses here too but crossing all the fingers and toes for you all the same and hoping you do a Juno on it 😁😁

@Gracie2021 I really hope your phone call went well today, this whole process is so hard. It’s hard to be resilient when you feel like it’s just set back after set back. Really hope it was a positive call.

@Kay00 aww that sounds like a lovely time with your friend. Any sign of AF yet?

2dpo hopefully for me. Positive upward temp this morning and continuation of very sore nipples makes me feel like maybe I have ovulated (for the first time since last April if so), but then I had what seemed like a load of EWCM this afternoon which made my heart sink. It wasn’t quite as stretchy/clear as it has been so maybe I can still be hopeful, but normally EWCM post ‘ovulation’ is a sign that it’s failed for me. Keeping everything crossed.

@skeletonskins yey!! This sounds very positive. Hopefully another day of high temps and you'll get your crosshairs 🤞

No sign of AF yet but then I'm not likely to come on until 16/17dpo

@gracie2021 haha, I'd love to do a Juno but she did it, so it couldn't possibly happen to me too 😂 its like if someone I knows wins the lottery then I will know my chances of winning will be zero 😆😆 its silly logic, but that's how my brain works

NHS assisted conception just cancelled my initial appt for tomorrow. Clinician is 'unavailable'. They said they will try to call us sometime Friday... Great..

@Kay00 crossing my fingers so hard for you! @SkeletonSkins did you get good coverage? @Gracie2021 how did the call go?

Oh no @TheDaydreamBelievers that’s so frustrating! Why do I not feel confident when they say they will ‘try’ to call. Just leaving you hanging, so frustrating.

I think so, if I did ovulate then we did ovulation day, -1 and -3 so gave it a shot. Was worn out by the end because I though I ovulated the week before so there’s been a lot of action lol.

@thedaydreambelievers oh no!!! 😰😰😰 I hope they keep to their word. If not then call them back first thing on Monday!

Now my period seems to have started on CD31?! Wtf?! This has literally never happened ever in the last 2 years. Sadly looks like no ovulation anyway.

I think my period is on its way too... spotting today and I think I can start to feel the beginnings of the cramps.... urgh.

I'm sorry @Kay00. Take time to grieve if you need to about medication not coming through for you.

I just don't get it - my body has never had a near normal cycle ever ever

@TheDaydreamBelievers can't believe they cancelled on you at such short notice. Really hope you get your call today. So frustrating. Well done on the short cycle but sorry you didn't get your ovulation.

@SkeletonSkins hope you're recovering after your active week and sounds like well in with a shot.

Forgot to update ye from yesterday. Doing an IUI tomorrow and this IVF is cancelled. Assuming this IUI doesn't work (which I'm assuming) well then do two rounds of back to back dual stim IVF to hopefully bank some embryos before we even think about any transfers. Also redoing hubbys SA and doing DNA frag test and redoing a few of my bloods including my AMH which I'm nervous about. And testing my testosterone so I can take DHEA if needed which is apparently good for low responders. But just realised abstinence >5 days is bad and we haven't DTD since Saturday so might need to kick the tires tonight 😂🙈🙈

Ah @Gracie2021 I’m so sorry this round has been cancelled but I guess at least now you’ve got a plan. You’re going to feel like a bloody pin cushion after all that testing. How are you feeling about it?

@TheDaydreamBelievers I feel for you so much, I absolutely get it. You just want to be able to have a shot at trying. Where are you up to with the docs etc?

Actually feeling ok @SkeletonSkins. I'm always fine once I know where I stand (ish). It's the uncertainty that kills. Had my IUI this morning and they were thrilled with my OHs sample so that's good, one of us is getting good marks at least. Tbh I was kinda laughing away to myself all morning thinking this is the oddest way to make a baby. Cradling the sample cup between my boobs on the way up to keep it warm and at the time of insemination my OH is in another county. All very strange. We've struck out on 8 TSIs so I'm not putting a lot of hope on this IUI but you never know.

How are you doing? You're a few days past ovulation at the mo?
