@Kay00 i am trying to ignore symptoms. I think esp tough cause I rarely ovulate so rarely get progesterone inc so am like "omg omg my boobs are sore and hot"

@TheDaydreamBelievers @Kay00 @ChinChilly and I'm 2DPO! Promise I won't test either and AF is due on the 9th. I don't even notice the symptoms anymore tbh, they always get dismissed as progesterone 🤷. Ever since I had a nosebleed Aug 2020 that got me really excited.

No sign of O for me, so I'm cheering you all on from the sideline 🎉

In other news, just found out one of my friends is preg with twins.... by accident... happy Friday!! 🍷

@TheDaydreamBelievers haha tempting 😂 I think I'm just in the denial stage at the moment, will probably be in tears tomorrow! Next week is my 1 year TTC anniversary- maybe I should buy myself some chocolate and a card 🍫

So just a quick question and I know it’s all different for all of us ladies but how many days do you usually get EWCM I have had it for the last 3 days and my RHR has sky rocketed so I am hoping I am going to ovulate very soon!

@Moocher90 2-3 days before successful ov, 1-2 days when body is just giving it a go

@missC07 one of the girls in my girly group has announced she's pregnant too. It's not a surprise though; she got married last year and she didn't drink when we were away at Centre Parks. I'm over the moon for her but gutted for me again... 🙄

My surging progesterone has made me super grumpy today... I just can't be arsed with anything. I hope for my OHs sake that this mood doesn't last the whole LP 😅

@moocher90 I get EWCM on the day or two before Ov.

Hi all. Sorry I haven’t posted in ages. I was trying to take a step back from all things ttc for my sanity but always checked in regularly.

@Moocher90 thanks for the new thread! Fingers crossed this is your ovulation ☺️

Nothing has been going on with me but I had a private consultation the other day which was really helpful. He suggested I might have PCOS even though I don’t have the obvious symptoms of cysts, acne etc. I also have short, regular cycles but my periods are really long suggesting low progesterone. This is something I’ve had for years and no doctor has found anything physically wrong but never checked my hormones. My LH to FSH ratio was high, high ish TSH and low progesterone etc plus the long periods could mean I’m not actually ovulating. It’s actually quite a relief to potentially have a cause. So next steps for me are repress blood tests done on the right days as my GP wasn’t bothered about this to look at my hormones levels and a hycosy and then maybe clomid or something like that and medication for my thyroid etc.

@Juno231 ovusense still in its box as I'm just finishing my period. Will start in next couple of days. Quite excited.

Wedding is in a few weeks time! Decided to just get on with it. Just a really small and informal event.

Now that I'm having cycles again, I'm on a complete hormonal rollercoaster, which is common in perimenopause I think. I feel amazing for 2 weeks and then I'm a nightmare. I'm weepy with sore boobs and hot flushes and can't sleep. I've looked at my calendar and on my wedding day I'll be right in the middle of the bad time. It's making me weepy just thinking about it. For about 3 milliseconds, I considered temporarily going back on the pill but then I remembered the hell I went through at the start of this year. My doctors tell me my symptoms were nothing to do with the pill but the association is still there! If anyone has any ideas for making myself feel like less of a bloated weepy mess (CD26 on wedding day!) I'd be very grateful. I'll also be spotting by then I think. Honestly, it just gets worse.

@WhirlingD congratulations on your engagement! Aw that’s tough. I’m sorry I don’t have any real advice for you but I’m sure the magic feeling of your wedding day will take hold and that will replace the other feelings! What about herbal remedies? Is it evening primrose oil that’s good for those kind of symptoms?

Hi all, long time no type! I’m another used-to-be-active poster turned lurker in recent months when the headspace hasn’t been great. Tbh I pulled back from everything, stopped acupuncture and just tried to chill about it all. But have been keeping up with this and one other thread and so invested in all of your progress and cheering on in the background. Coming back to a place where I feel I can start I put again so hope you won’t mind if I join you all in the forefront again….

Little catch up on me: started trying July 2020 and nothing since then although I ovulate regularly. We’re unexplained at the moment. Currently on my 5th medicated cycle with trigger (4xLetrozole and now on Tamoxifen). All testing done. I have slightly low AMH for my age and a slightly thin lining but nothing other than that and my Partner is completely clear. My one outlier is positive ANA which is a marker for autoimmune. On baby aspirin, high dose Omega 3 and mesima and cordyceps mushrooms the last two months to try treat any inflammation in case that’s it. Have two consults with IVF clinics in the next few weeks and likely to be doing IVF in the spring. Will also be asking for immune treatment alongside IVF to cover off anything on that side but we’ll see.

Im also 5DPO at the minute so another one for the TWW club. Fun fact: my trigger leaves faint lines right up to 10/11DPO so I have by default joined team no test.

@WhirlingD sorry for the timing, that sucks. Im the same a few days before period and haven’t found any solutions to it. I do think it exacerbates any mood you have that day anyway so hopefully with the excitement and happiness of your wedding day you’ll sail through. Sorry I don’t have better advice but hope you have an amazing day.

@Moocher90 thanks for the thread and thanks for the opportunity for some of us lurkers to rejoin the fold. Fingers crossed for your ovulation, I could get 2-3 days of EWCM if that’s any help.

@Kay00 sorry you got caught by that announcement. I’ve had 2-3 in my periphery the last two weeks and wow they just hit differently these days.

@MissC07 sorry you’re hitting your one year mark, hugs! And the announcements don’t help im sure. Hope you have some distractions or treats planned. Im currently trying to line up some bits over the next 3-4 months as I find it’s the best way to stay out of my head.

@Juno231 how is the new job going or have you started yet? Im starting a new one in the next couple weeks and had it in my head you were as well. Sorry if im wrong on that.

I’ve been lurking on this thread for a week now as my husband and I are TTC and I came off the pill in April. No luck yet and my periods are all over the shop now (last 3 months my cycles have varied between 33-38 days) after 3 months of pretty regular periods (28 days) and I think ovulation (if temps are anything to go by). I went to the GP last month and did mention the irregularity and she told me if it was still like that in 12 months to come back, which I guess is fair enough given I’m 33, but annoyed me all the same because I feel like if I’d just presented it as irregular cycles will you do some checks they would have done, but as soon as you mention TTC they have to follow NHS guidelines 😬

I did some at home blood tests recently as I was worried maybe my exercising was causing my period to be irregular. They all came back within the ‘normal’ range, but of course I’ve obsessively googled them and self diagnosed the below issues:

LH double my FSH (9.82 / 5.83)
Prolactin within normal range, but on the high end (438 my/l)
TSH 2.97 mu/l

I’ve also started taking LH tests at home and started checking from day 9 this cycle and they keep going up and down. Is this normal - pics attached? I just feel so frustrated because it seems so easy for everyone else around me (my brother in laws girlfriend announced she was pregnant at our wedding last month despite only being 4 weeks pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️ and we’re now getting daily updates on her morning sickness…my blood boils every time she talks about it which I know is horrible and uncharitable as I am happy for them, but they barely know each other and I can’t help being annoyed) and I feel now like I’m just probably infertile and this won’t happen for us - so defeatist when we are so early on but it’s amazing how quickly one gets obsessed and consumed by this 😞😞

Anyway, I’ve read so much is this thread and I really feel all your pain and it feels like such a safe space here so I hope you don’t mind me joining in occasionally x

Hello @Charro86 - welcome! GPS can be a bit clueless, you can go to them for referral at 1 year trying so April 2022. Id recommend reading NICE/SIGN guidelines before interacting with medics, so you know what should be offered.

As another option - you can get comprehensive private assessment for around 500 quid. This includes testing for your DH.

It's extremely unlikely you are completely infertile! We all understand your frustration and burnout. Most of us it's been very simple things getting in our way (for example for me that's irregular ovulation), which can be fixed quite easily it just all takes so much time on nhs!

Not much to report here so have been a but terrible at keeping up with the thread. Since my first major horrible AF after MC my hormones have been absolutely horrendous. I've been crying at adverts that aren't even sad, getting super irritated at DH for no reason, urgh it's exhausting. TTC wise I presume I'm in the TWW but I'm not tracking so who knows 😅

@Charro86 so sorry you have to put up with the constant updates from your brothers gf. Also did they ask if they could announce at your wedding? Wow! Definitely don’t wait another 12 months. Most guidance is 12 months which would bring you to April 2022.

@Kat668 so sorry for your loss and no wonder emotions would be all over the place after. Hope you’re having a relaxing Halloween weekend.

@MissC07 all good here relatively speaking these days. Sounds like we’ve tried the same step back approach the last few months. Have to say I’ve enjoyed the break taking triggers has given as haven’t been taking OPKs or bothering with tracking etc so helps keep me out of my head.

@Gracie2021 thank you for your kind words. I think there is some truth in what you say, that is about PMS exacerbating your moods. I feel much the same way about alcohol. If I'm a bit weepy when I add either PMS or alcohol to the mix, everything is worse. But if I'm in a good mood, a few glasses of wine does wonders. Let's hope it's the same way with my hormones. I'll do my best to put TTC out of my head for the next month or so!

First outcome of the TWW-ers: AF got me on 7dpo. Le sigh. Off into private intervention we go.

@TheDaydreamBelievers - I know, they can be so infuriating. We’ve agreed to go private in January if nothing has happened by then. I am sorry to hear AF arrived - it doesn’t get any easier does it 😞😞

@Gracie2021 and no she didn’t! She told some of his family on the day itself during our reception and then told us the next day. I had already suspected as she wasn’t drinking but it still upset me because it felt so unnecessary and they could have waited a few weeks when her pregnancy was further along. To be fair to my DH (who is so excited for his brother), even he asked if it was normal to tell people so early…he’s always so diplomatic 🤦🏼‍♀️

@TheDaydreamBelievers boooo for AF, what a bitch rocking up at 7dpo. Private intervention is a good shout... I love the NHS but everything especially fertility treatment seems to take sooo long! I'm worried my RMC is going to get pushed back if COVID takes off again.

@Charro86 welcome!! You're in the right place!! I had the same fear of being completely infertile then I had several miscarriages in a short space of time. As for your brother's girlfriend i get that too my blood used to boil whenever i saw a pregnant woman, then I felt like a horrible person. TTC is not fun!
