@Gracie2021 sorry to hear it was BFN but so happy you get to move forward one step.

I'm worried about NHS route cause my husband knows someone with the same profile as us who they made wait on a further 8mo referral to endocrinology before they would act to induce ovulation. I hope he has somehow misunderstood as surely surely that makes no sense once already in the fertility clinics?!

Gracie2021 · 25/01/2022 09:33

@TheDaydreamBelievers thanks tbh at this point it's just a relief to finish the cycle and stop the crinone.
The logic on that doesn't sound right at all. Hope they're ready to move forward with your guys from the start. Have you looked into the cost of ovulation induction privately? It was quite reasonable here in Ireland hence why we did 8 rounds of it.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 25/01/2022 09:38

@Gracie2021 yes, our private clinic are just waiting for us to book essentially. In Scotland it's 1k-1.2k per round

Juno231 · 25/01/2022 09:43

@Gracie2021 gosh what progesterone meds are you on? Doesn't sound fun at all. Any headaches at all?

Gracie you've reminded me though - if anyone wants to keep in touch with me on insta do let me know and I can DM you my handle? I haven't posted anything baby related yet as it's not been made official but I'm sure I won't be able to resist once that gate has been opened! I just don't want to lose touch with everyone as and when people succeed and drop off the MN radar.

Gracie2021 · 25/01/2022 09:43

That SO expensive @TheDaydreamBelievers. We're unlucky in some ways as we have no funded IVF but with capped prescriptions and the cost of a scan out medicated cycles work out about 200-250 euro which isn't too bad.

Gracie2021 · 25/01/2022 09:45

I'm in crinone gel @Juno231 but tbh even before I supplemented I reacted badly to progesterone. Always get nosebleeds when it's at its highest too which I've never really heard of anyone else getting. But look just for a couple weeks each time and then it's done.

Gracie2021 · 25/01/2022 09:46

100% up for keeping in touch btw @Juno231 but I don't seem able to PM for some reason.

WhirlingD · 25/01/2022 10:01

Congratulations @Juno231. What lovely news. I'd love to stay in touch.

Well I'm 13dpo with a BFN. Not that I actually thought there was a chance or anything. I just have a lot to get done today and can't afford to lose a day on Mumsnet looking up "no BBT temp at 13dpo, could I be pregnant" or "light spotting at 13 dpo, could I still be pregnant". We DTD only once on what I think was just post ovulation so I wasn't exactly in with a fighting chance either. Tell me I'm not the only one who has been here!!??

Annoyingly DH is away with work for the whole of next FW (1st week in Feb due to short cycles!) but then I have IVF mid feb. My consultant has had loads of time off so I hope it doesn't get delayed again (been delayed a month already!) but I'd rather wait than go through the hassle of getting to know someone else. Still, there'll be a limit because I just want to get on with it so may have to switch consultants.

WhirlingD · 25/01/2022 10:03

I meant to say "no BBT temp drop at 13 dpo....". Annoyingly my BBT is still really high. Damn body.

Juno231 · 25/01/2022 10:16

@WhirlingD @Gracie2021 pm'd you both and added you @TheDaydreamBelievers

WhirlingD sorry for BBT trolling you! How long is your LP normally? Will you have an FW so close to Feb IVF or do you think you'll be on down regs by then?

Gracie2021 okay ouch that does sound like you react very strongly to progesterone (where does one put the gel? I only ever hear of pessaries)! I can't believe how cheap your ovulation induction cycles were btw - much like thedaydreambelievers they're around 1-2k per cycle where I am.

WhirlingD · 25/01/2022 10:42

@Juno231 my LP is anywhere between 10-14 days. I'm not regular at all.

We haven't discussed medication schedule yet so I don't know. I guess I hadn't thought of that. I should ovulate around 5th Feb but DH is away 28th Jan to 5th Feb. IVF appt (if not rescheduled) is 15th Feb. I assumed they'd put me on meds straight away but perhaps they'll have to wait until next AF.

In any event, trying to put it out of my mind and not obsess over TTC (for once!) until mid Feb! Doubt I'll manage that!

MissC07 · 25/01/2022 19:39

@SkeletonSkins @Gracie2021 thanks ladies! CD1 for me today as AF decided to turn up with a vengeance this afternoon. Don't you just hate day 1, I constantly feel like I'm either going to 💩 myself or throw up... tmi!!

@Juno231would love to keep in touch! I also was randomly thinking earlier if you've told your work yet and whether you'll get mat pay as I know you recently started a new job (the crazy way our minds wander)

MintGreenLife · 25/01/2022 20:44

@Juno231 he’s 6.5 months now ☺️ I’d love to become insta pals, but I only use an old business one as I got locked out of my personal account, so appreciate you may not want to send me your username given you can’t see much about me on my business account! Always up for being FB pals too though. Would love to keep up to date with you ☺️ X

Moocher90 · 26/01/2022 13:18

@Juno231 would love to keep in touch too x

@Moocher90 @MissC07 I'll message you shortly!

MissC07 no I haven't told work yet - I've got my 12 week scan next Friday so will tell my boss the following Monday... I'm really dreading it! I think I get enhanced mat pay from day 1 of starting the job but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if I'd misunderstood the policy somehow as they're so bloody hard to read 😬

@MintGreenLife FB would be lovely! I'll PM you!

Kay00 · 26/01/2022 15:33

@SkeletonSkins Its not impossible that your sonographer missed a collapsed follicle, and if I had had a temp increase like that, then I would assume I had ovulated. How long are your cycles usually? I suppose you'll find out if/when AF shows up Smile lets hope she doesn't!

@Moocher90@Gracie2021 Oof, that progesterone sounds rough. Also, its sad that your go a BFN... but exciting that you're starting IVF. Hopefully it is the ticket you need xx

I'm currently on CD16 and had EWCM and SHOW cervix two days ago, so expect ovulation day to be today (my temps are pretty low right now). I hope it is, because I'm too tired to keep DTD lol.

My next appointment with the consultant is on Feb 15th, so I should have just started my last Clomid cycle.

@MintGreenLife Hello lovely!! sending my love to you and your family xx

Moocher90 · 26/01/2022 15:38

@Kay00 I’m 7DPO today. I only have a 10 day LP so if AF comes it will be on Sat or Sunday. So if it doesn’t I will test then.

@Juno231 thank you. Have just followed you on Instagram Smile It's so nice to see what people actually all look like after messaging on here constantly for months/years! I hope everything goes ok with telling work, and I'll keep my fingers crossed about the mat leave policy!

Moocher90 · 26/01/2022 17:06

I really want a bath tonight in my nee house? Will it do any harm whilst in the tww?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 26/01/2022 17:37

I don't think so @Moocher90. I just keep my baths a little less scorchio - I used to pour baths that made me bright pink and where I had to sit on the side every so often to cool down and I don't do that anymore. It's to do with your internal body temp, so as long as you feel okay in the bath, you're probably okay!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 26/01/2022 17:37

Ps: meant to say if anyone else would like to be Instagram friends, please DM me!

Moocher90 · 26/01/2022 17:40

@TheDaydreamBelievers I would like to follow you! I don’t know how to PM though 😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 26/01/2022 17:43

I have sent you a message @Moocher90! So hopefully you got my Instagram handle!

Juno231 · 26/01/2022 17:50

@Moocher90 second @TheDaydreamBelievers on the baths!

@MissC07 isn't it weird to see?? We're all a lot younger than I imagined for whatever reason - probably because we're always a bit sour and deflated on here 😅

@Kay00 @SkeletonSkins I think the corpus luteum would be very visible though no? Even if the follicle collapsed.

@kay00 I'm so glad your cycles seem completely regular now pretty much - fingers crossed for this one and it sounds like you're well covered

@MintGreenLife ha I got an FB friend request today (doesn't happen very often these days) and thought gosh mintgreen has the same name as that girl from HR I used to drink with! Nope - just the actual girl from HR adding me and me being a numpty 😂
