@SkeletonSkins @MissC07 @Kay00 I have this on request at GP too. The NHS gynae told me that missing a period for over 3 months leads to overbuilding of womb liming and ups your risk of endometrial cancer (if it happens repeatedly, not just the one time) so a period should be induced if it doesn't happen within 90 days

Moocher90 · 18/01/2022 19:32

Hello all sorry I’ve been AWOL, had a lot going on! Exchanged contracts on our new house yesterday and moving in on Monday :)

I’m CD13 today and got my positive OPK so hopefully I will ovulate in the next 24/48 hours :)
Making sure we BD tonight and tomorrow. Have been BDing every other day since CD6 so can get a rest soon 😂

I hope everyone is ok :)

@TheDaydreamBelievers interesting!

@Moocher90 Good to hear you got your +OPK Smile

I'm CD9, so not much to report here. I just got over a bout of thrush (urgh... its my own fault for having a bath with bath salts) so not DTD yet this cycle. Hope to start getting some action in tonight lol.

My brother is coming to stay for a couple of weeks from next Tuesday (CD15) so I'm hoping I ovulate that day or on the 14th like last month!

I was just involved in a 1hour long surprise baby shower for a colleague who is having twins. I'm super pleased for her (of course) but I did struggle a bit. Esp. when everyone was telling her what a wonderful journey having children was blah blah... urgh.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/01/2022 15:29

Ended up having the hycosy today. Not pleasant but not the worst ever. Pretty sore on entry but then painless. Weirdly got all dizzy and fainty when dye went in even though that didn't hurt!

Good news is no blockages. Consultant explained in basically just out of PCOS ovary criteria. They do have more follicles than would be expected but not quite as many as PCOS criteria.

Moocher90 · 19/01/2022 15:37

@TheDaydreamBelievers glad to hear it all went smoothly and nothing untoward found xx

@Kay00 I’m hoping I ovulate by morning! Will get another BD session in abit later on for good measure! Sorry to hear how you felt at the surprise baby shower :( I know what you mean everyone around me seems to be pregnant and all we all desperately want is to be pregnant too xx

@thedaydreambelievers yey! I'm glad you had your HyCoSy and that it confirmed your tubes are both working and there was nothing problematic. I think using follicles to diagnose PCOS is an odd one as the number can change. Also, mine were only borderline (10 and 13) but I was diagnosed with the condition 🤷‍♀️

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/01/2022 21:56

@Kay00 mine are 11 and 10 respectively! And not quite large enough 8mm2 when would need to be 10mm2

Kay00 · 19/01/2022 23:03

Hmmm. Interesting. Well, it's good you don't have pcos, but that doesn't explain your crazy long cycles. I guess there was no suggestion of what treatments you could do to help?

Moocher90 · 21/01/2022 06:46

Morning all CD16 today and think I am 2DPO today. Going to have a busy 2 weeks from Monday as moving into my new house so at least my mind will be preoccupied over the tww. Fingers crossed this is the winning cycle

@TheDaydreamBelievers glad your HyCoSy went well, interesting re the scan results, sounds similar to mine but I was diagnosed based on my bloods and irregular periods. Are your bloods normal?

@Moocher90 what a lovely bbt rise 😍

Nothing to report here, my body has settled well onto the metformin and I’ve lost 5lb since I started it last week which is a bit mad because I’m only a couple of pounds over healthy bmi but I’m happy none the less!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Gracie2021 · 21/01/2022 10:10

Hi all. Sorry for the radio silence. Still blaming the puppy for turning life on its head!

Glad you settled well on the metformin @SkeletonSkins. If it sheds weight like that I might need some 😂 hope you're feeling well on it.

Congrats on the new house @Moocher90 and a lovely rise too. Do you have a ton to do to get ready for moving?

Glad the hycosy went well @TheDaydreamBelievers and no blockages. Hope you have a nice treat planned for the weekend after getting that behind you.

@Kay00 sorry you got stuck on the baby shower call. Not the most pleasant thing no matter how happy you are for them. The inevitable talks of babies and kids is the killer. Hope you getting the action in too and ovulation hits before your visitor arrives!

Hope the TWW is passing quickly for you @MissC07!

@mrsmacmc any sign of AF? Hope SW is going well for you. On a continuous weight loss intentions plan here with no follow through at all!

8DPO here and ready for the weekend after the fastest week ever. Happy Friday all!!!! Have my IVF baseline scan next Friday and everything kicks off with an estimated 11-14 Feb collection and 19thish transfer 🤞

Moocher90 · 21/01/2022 14:55

@Gracie2021 most of our stuff was packed months ago as we was purchasing something but we pulled out because our vendors purchase fell through and it took them 12 weeks before they found anything else to buy :/. last weekend we packed up the remaining bits so over this weekend we haven’t got lots to do 🙌.

@Moocher90 must have been so hard to wait when you were all geared up to move but glad you're seeing the benefit of it now.

Juno231 · 23/01/2022 11:41

Just found out I'm having a girl 🥰

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm glad the hycosy went well but agree with the others that it's odd they dismissed pcos based on the follicles! What's the next step now that the tubes have been flushed?

@Moocher90 congrats on the new house!!

@SkeletonSkins wow 5lbs lost so quickly is an amazing side effect! How's the tummy feeling now?

@kay00 vom on the baby shower call - why do people do this?? Where are you at in your cycle now?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 23/01/2022 12:58

@Juno231 CONGRATULATIONS! How do you feel now you know? Next step is NHS call on 10th Feb and from there we will decide whether to get private treatment or not (depends on how long NHS will take)

SkeletonSkins · 23/01/2022 13:58

@Juno231 oh how absolutely amazing 💕💕💕💕 you must just feel like you’re in a dream, I’m so happy for you.

Tummy seems to be fine thank you! Settled into the metformin which is good. I think my testosterone has gone up a bit but I’m also thinking my body might be gearing up to have a go at ovulation, so maybe it’s to di with that.

Moocher90 · 23/01/2022 17:31

@Juno231 congratulations!!!

Lovely news to hear on the thread xx

MissC07 · 23/01/2022 20:55

@Juno231 ahhhh congratulations so happy for you!!! How are you feeling? Hope all is going well!

@Gracie2021 thank you 13dpo and starting to cramp, so think AF will be with me tomorrow. Not too upset though as just trying to see if my body is getting back into a routine at the moment. Good luck with your scan and your transfer!! 🤞

Kay00 · 23/01/2022 21:12

@juno231 oh wow how lovely 😍 a little girl 😍 I'm beyond pleased for you xxx

@missC07 I'm hoping AF stays away for you xx

@skeletonskins I'm glad you're settling into Metformin 😊 hopefully its helping you ovulate too 🤞

Im CD13 so hoping to ovulate soon... but I've not had any fertile CM yet... so I'm not sure when it'll happen 🤷‍♀️

MintGreenLife · 24/01/2022 14:29

@Juno231 amazing news 💕💕💕 been popping back on every couple of days to see if there was an update from you 🥰

SkeletonSkins · 25/01/2022 06:43

Morning ladies, hope you’re all having a good week. Any signs of AF yet @MissC07? Hope the TWW is treating everyone in it kindly.

So I mentioned a week or so ago that I’d had an internal scan to check up on the state if my ovaries and she’d said there was not dominant follicle. I was quite disappointed at the time because I was hoping that being on the metformin would have meant my body at least started to try to make an effort. But now I’m wondering if it’s possible that I’d already ovulated before tbe scan and that’s why there was no dominant follicle? But would she not have been able to see the egg elsewhere or would it have been too small?

The reason I ask is I decided to start taking my bbt again mid last week, thinking that it would be good to get a baseline if my body did decide to start gearing up to do something. Anyway, my temp was quite high, and has stayed high, like post ovulation high. I have been under the weather with a cough (not covid thankfully) so I put it down to that but yesterday I felt much better but this morning my temp is higher again. So I’ve got 6 days of high temps in a row… could be feeling under the weather, but it’s starting to look like a pattern?

I’ve done a test and it’s very negative, plus I’m not sure when I would have actually ovulated and we didn’t have much sex because I had no idea I was ovulating and the metformin was making me feel so rough. But I do remember getting some EWCM at one point and some spots on my neck which is a key ovulation symptom to me.

Anyway so I have no idea if I have ovulated but I guess I’ll see what the pattern in like this week. Im not getting my hopes up as I think there’s still a chance that my temps are high because of being a bit under the weather but I guess we’ll see what it says tomorrow.

SkeletonSkins · 25/01/2022 06:48

My messy chart in case anyones interested.

TTC post pill - Halloween Party
Juno231 · 25/01/2022 08:18

@SkeletonSkins hm I can't see the temps on that chart. I will say though that the sonographer would have been able to tell you if you'd ovulated as the remainder of the follicle stays around for the duration of the LP.

@MintGreenLife ah thank you! I hope you're well - I think about you and baba regularly! How old is he now?

Gracie2021 · 25/01/2022 09:05

@SkeletonSkins I went for a scan after I ovulated twice and each time they were able to see the collapsed follicle and tell that I had ovulated so would hope they'd spot the same for you.

@Juno231 that is so amazing. Congratulations on your little girl. There's a few people on here I love to follow as I get such hope and you are for sure one. Hope you're feeling well and enjoying the pregnancy.

@Kay00 fingers crossed for the O soon. Did you have an app coming up in Feb too? How are you feeling about things?

@MissC07 glad your body is getting into more of a regular routine and fingers crossed AF doesn't leave you hanging long.

@TheDaydreamBelievers so glad you have your app soon and hopefully the wait won't be too long on the NHS for you. Have heard of some people doing a private round and then moving to NhS after they move up the list too.

Have been quiet on here. Progesterone symptoms are kicking my ass lately. Sore teeth and gums, slight moments of incontinence and constipation as well as the usual delights. Thankfully was able to take my test today at 12DPO and that's negative so will finish the progesterone tonight and hopefully get AF Friday just in time for IVF.

SkeletonSkins · 25/01/2022 09:08

Ah okay good to know so I don’t get my hopes up, thanks all!
