Sorry I'm just catching up on here, the wee pup has been running me ragged.

@Juno231 @ChinChilly so beyond thrilled for both of you and no not triggering at all. As the others said, it's giving me hope seeing comrades in arms getting their successes and ladies boy do ye deserve your happiness right now. Delighted your scans went well! Hope the sickness gets better now that you're hitting the second trimester Chinchilly. Are you gearing up to tell work or leaving it a little bit?

@TheDaydreamBelievers so sorry you had to delay. Fingers crossed arrives any day now.

@Moocher90 fingers crossed for you and @Kay00 - you never know!

@Farley21 so glad you got reassurance. An anxious few weeks.

All quiet here. Just waiting on a call from my clinic to see what timing they recommend for my scan this month since I hit 29mm on day 10 last month. CD4 here and decided to go ahead with the TSI after all so on my third day of Letrozole. Going to ask if I can do my IVF prep and viral screening the same day as my TSI scan for convenience. Getting real now....

Gracie2021 · 05/01/2022 09:50

Wow @Juno231 that's so clear! Emotional at the app? Sounds complicated about telling people for sure but so glad you got to tell your family in person.

ChinChilly · 05/01/2022 10:45

@Juno231 ahh that is a clear pic, my 7+6 sca was just a blob, did you get to hear the heartbeat at your scan? We heard it at the private scan and I burst into tears lol.

@Gracie2021 I've told work because I'm back in the office today and I still randomly vomit and wretch. OH has told his parents and siblings, my parents know and I'm going to tell my family on the weekend, I want to tell my grandparents in person first.

Gracie2021 · 05/01/2022 15:43

Glad you had such a wonderful experience at the scan @ChinChilly. Hope the pressure of hiding it is off a bit in work after letting them know. Have fun telling them fam.

Kay00 · 05/01/2022 23:36

😍😍😍 aww, I love your little bean scan @juno231, totally gorgeous xx

And I'm so pleased you and @chinchilly are getting the chance to tell family in person. It's really a dream of mine xx

AF got me this morning! Welcome CD1 :(

So sorry @Moocher90 😭

Gracie2021 · 06/01/2022 10:28

Just got my protocol detail for IVF along with consent form etc. seeming very real now!!!

Juno231 · 06/01/2022 11:24

@ChinChilly @kay00 I was surprised at how clear it was! It being my first I was also surprised that they showed us the baby on a massive flat screen TV and that the ultrasound gel thing they put on your stomach was warm! I swear every single TV show/film has the woman squeal that it's cold lol. Yes I did get to listen to the heartbeat but I didn't cry. I think I was so in shock that there was a baby in there that I was unable to process feelings of joy!

@Moocher90 I'm sorry :(. Remind me what we're waiting for next in terms of medical interventions?

@Gracie2021 great news! When do you think you'll start?

I cancelled my ivf yesterday but that was with the receptionist so a bit anti climactic - she said the nurse would call me back about it but I never did get a call back!

Gracie2021 · 06/01/2022 11:41

@Juno231 great next step. When is your next scan? Lovely to cancel the IVF but can see it being a bit underwhelming after the hype 😂🙈 so happy for you!!!

CD1 is estimated to be January 30th unless I have a massive follicle and trigger early like last month. Either way not long at all. Eek!!!!

Kay00 · 06/01/2022 12:11

@moocher90 oh no Sad Sad Sad

I still haven't tested. I will try to remember tomorrow, but I'm not testing because I think it has worked, but because I'm meeting my girl friends for cocktails tomorrow night.

@juno231 that must have been a momentous moment, even if it felt under-whelming, I'm so super pleased you were able to conceive naturally Smile

WhirlingD · 06/01/2022 13:21

@Juno231 @ChinChilly so pleased to see your updates. It's given me hope.

@Kay00 good luck with the test!!

I'm CD4 today. My IVF was meant to start this month but I think it will be next month now. My consultant is away this month and I don't want the faff of starting again with another one. It's a bit annoying but at least I am giving natural conception another month. Am resuming acupuncture next week too. Throwing everything at it this month.

Have just bought the zita west IVF pack of vitamins for me and Proxeed for him (on consultants recommendation). Cost a small fortune. Unfortunately the husband is going on a boozy trip at the end of this month. Have told him to take it easy but will also pump him full of sperm boosting pills to counteract it!

WhirlingD · 06/01/2022 13:22

@Moocher90 sorry to hear AF got you.

Kat668 · 06/01/2022 22:02

Hi lovelies! Sorry for being quiet for a while, been a stressful Xmas but catching up now! Hope you all had lovely Xmas and New years.

@Juno231 and @ChinChilly I'm so happy to hear your scans went well and you both you both to hear the heartbeat! What a special moment for you both ❤

@Kay00 keeping everything crossed for when you do a test!

@Moocher90 I'm sorry AF came :(

So yeah stressful time here, my mum whose clinically vulnerable caught covid just before Xmas so was in a state of panic for a lot of it but thankfully she's over it now. Then AF made her appearance on boxing day which really sucked as I really felt like I was going to get a BFP. Hubby has been really struggling with his anxiety recently so we've been having a rough patch and the disappointment each time is not helping. Just don't know what else I can do and starting to feel like giving up. Like I'm doing everything that's advised and still not working.

Sorry shouldn't be moaning so much 😅 just been a tough time! And I turn 31 next month, my goal was always to have my first baby or at least be pregnant by 30 so feel like I failed. Stupid I know.

Kat668 · 06/01/2022 22:04

@Farley21 so glad you got your reassurance! So tough to have to go through the anxiety when you couldn't go in and get help!

ChinChilly · 06/01/2022 22:27

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I had my 12 week scan today, a grand total of 5 hours in the hospital waiting for scans, bloods, consultants etc... but all is well 12+5 today so official due date is 16th July!

Baby is such a wriggler it took the lady ages to get the measurements for the fluid on the back of the neck I had to shake my hips, jump around and eventually lie on my side so she could get the position but got there is the end 🤣 My thyroid is now in range but will still need blood tests every 4 weeks.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for hopefully lots of 2022 BFPs, I'm not sure how I would of managed this TTC journey with the support from you all.

MissC07 · 07/01/2022 08:43

@ChinChilly How exciting, so glad everything went well, and July birthdays are awesome (not that I'm biased by having one 😂) Are you going to find out the sex or keep it a surprise?

Also QQ for ladies taking inositol, can anybody recommend a particular brand or what dosage I should be taking? I've been looking for a couple of days and it's a total minefield!

ChinChilly · 07/01/2022 16:30

@MissC07 I'm assuming your bday is in July 🤣🤣🤣 the plan is to find out the sex, I'm too impatient to wait although for some reason I'm already thinking its a boy

CJB92 · 07/01/2022 20:30

Hello. Is it okay if I join this thread?

I've been ttc for 5 years now with 4 mc/chemicals. I recently had a bfp late dec on 27th, and definite 28th, I then went onto bleed on the same day I had a beta hcg blood test which came back under 1 hcg, and I bled really badly do 3 days and then light spotting. Since the bleed I have had consistent faint bfp but never lighter or darker, until recently when they got darker, but only on a pink dye 25miu test and tesco test and wouldn't pick up on frer. etc. Dr couldn't understand how a hpt was positive yet bloods negative. But after bloods were done my tests got darker but today slightly lighter and have a scan thats been booked since December for this Monday . Figured if I still get bfp I will go to it. But figuring somehow my body is acting strange because a bfp would surely get darker or lighter either way. And I've had almost positive (highs) opks for 7 days now. So been dtd just incase. So not really sure where I am now but I just wanted to come on here as someone recommended this thread to me for support for long term ttc and pregnancy loss. 🙂

MissC07 · 07/01/2022 21:03

@ChinChilly haha yep, end of July so I'm a Leo 🦁 Ooooh so exciting!! Please keep us updated when you find out!

ChinChilly · 07/01/2022 21:09

@MissC07 I'm a leo too, i just about squeeze in tho as my bday is 23rd August, if baby comes on time I think it will be cancer but if it holds on for a week or so will be a leo too!

@CJB92 Hi, you're in the right place, that all sounds like it's be very confusing and frustrating for you, have you had any investigations into why the MCs have been happening?

CJB92 · 07/01/2022 21:31

@ChinChilly
Hello! I got referred by my GP to Gynaecology and the consultant was quite rude. He ordered bloods but said if they come back fine then they do no further investigations. Because my BMI is also a bit high for someone of my little height, they arent happy to do anything until I'm perfect weight for them. I've seen my bloods and I don't have really any issues, but my GP said one time it looked like I didn't ovulate so I might not ovulate regular. I'm not sure. It's the first I heard of it and she didn't insist to do anything else about it. I also know my progesterone can be a bit low but was told I'd get is prescribed once I make it to a scan to confirm q pregnancy but my problem was I never make it that far before I lose the pregnancy. So not alot of help. I've had low cortisol levels and my gp mentioned that could also play a part in pregnancy and also holding it. But since my cortisol levels rose when they injected me with ACTH they deemed me fine because my body reacted but didn't explain why they were low in the first place. So not sure if that Could also be affecting things. Everything is a bit of a fight to be honest :/

ChinChilly · 07/01/2022 21:43

@CJB92 everything is battle with my GP too, it may be worth asking your GP to refer you Tommy's depending on where you are in the country, I believe there is a clinics in Birmingham, Coventry and London. I was reffered there after my recent MC and although I fell pregnant again before my initial appointment they still gave me early scans and blood tests and picked up an underactive thyroid (that I had been badgering my GP about) and treated it. Really you could do with the input from a recurrent miscarriage clinic rather than a gynaecologist.

CJB92 · 07/01/2022 21:51

@ChinChilly what is Tommy's? Is that a clinic for recurrent miscarriage? That's really good they did that for you! I got referred straight to EPU when I informed them I was pregnant but they said the earliest they would see me is 6 weeks. I dont know if this is because they can't see anything sooner than that. But I knew there would be a big risk I would not hold it for that long. 6 week scan is actually Monday coming but I bled the day after I got the scan booked, and started bleeding on 29th/30th but if I still keep getting bfp by then I might still go anyway, my GP said I could although she thinks I'm crazy. I'm starting to think I am too with how crazy everything sounds with my tests, bloods, symptoms, etc.

My gp wanted to refer me back to the gynaecologist I was under at the beginning of covid but he actually refused to see me until I was perfect bmi.

ChinChilly · 07/01/2022 22:56

@CJB92 Yeah they are a recurrent miscarriage clinic and research centre, they are very good and do alot of campaigning for better NHS care for women who suffer MC. Have a google the website has some useful information.

I'd hang on and wait and see how your scan goes, lots of women have bleeding in early pregnancy and go on to have a healthy baby. If you do get bad news you could ask the EPU to refer you to Tommy's. I'm not 100% how that works because I was fortunate that my EPU has a Tommy's clinic there but they do accept patients from all over the country if you're willing to travel
