@TheDaydreamBelievers I shall hold out then as my LP is only usually 10/11 days

@Moocher90 I tested at 9dpo with a cheapie and there was the faintest of lines - so faint that I convinced myself that it had to be the shadow of the dye showing through the strip. I suspect that if I'd tested with a FRER I'd have had a very faint line. 10dpo though it was definitely a positive even on the cheapie!

Moocher90 · 02/01/2022 22:40

@Juno231 thanks :) xx I hope all is good with you x

@moocher90 my boobs have been tender this LP, but they have become very sore today which is a little unusual for me, but I'm putting it down to progesterone.

We'll both be 10dpo on Tuesday, but I'm not currently getting any urge to test. Hmmm... let's see how I feel on Tuesday 😂

My life style improvements start tomorrow. I'm going to cut out the crap from my diet: no more cake, crisps or chocolate binges! I'm going to eat dark chocolate only, lots more protein, salad, veg and low sugar fruits. I'm also going to get back into running, and maybe take up yoga or meditation or something relaxing too. From now on, my body is a temple 😇

TheDaydreamBelievers · 03/01/2022 11:34

Cant work out whether to delay my hycosy or not - CD64 and still no AF! Running on one of the longer cycles for me. Not pregnant, obviously. Also had to get a PCR yesterday (close contact) so decision may be out my hands!

Moocher90 · 03/01/2022 18:28

@TheDaydreamBelievers have you spoke to your GP to preserving you some provera to induce a period?

When I had mine they wouldn’t allow me to have it unless I had a period so I rang GP and it was prescribed pretty quickly

Hopefully you haven’t got covid :( best to test though just in case

OP posts:
TheDaydreamBelievers · 03/01/2022 18:35

@Moocher90 the generic nhs gynae gave me a medication to induce a period, but told me only to use it if cycles over 90 days. Private clinic said not to take this and if I have a cycle over 90 days they will give me progesterone challenge. Their rationale was that I sometimes ovulate late and the medication the nhs suggested will kill an early pregnancy if I was pregnant. Of course, their medication will cost money.

Either way, I booked the hycosy for this week as I thought by CD66 I should have had a period. But apparently not. No fecking idea what is going on with body. Had a pile of extremely sticky discharge, but loads of stomach cramps yesterday so I would have thought my period was coming.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 03/01/2022 18:36

PS: Im covid19 negative, so that's one worry down!

Kay00 · 03/01/2022 21:17

@thedaydreambelievers firstly, I'm glad to hear you're covid negative! Secondly, your lack of period is very frustrating. I would call the clinic and ask them if you can continue with the HyCoSy without a period. Amd if not then I suppose you'll need to reschedule. Hopefully AF will arrive soon, but if not then maybe take the meds your doctor gave you on day 90 (if you're sure your not pregnant).

Kay00 · 03/01/2022 21:19

Obviously it's up yo you what you do, I just re-read my message and it came across a bit bossy... sorry, I didn't mean it to sound like that! Xxx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 03/01/2022 22:50

@Kay00 I think I'm just worried about this thought of "what if I was pregnant, had got lucky again and then basically end the pregnancy with the hycosy". I wonder if Id rather push back a week.

PS: did not sound bossy at all, no fear!

Farley21 · 04/01/2022 10:18

Hi All,

A bit of good news today.

I stopped bleeding a few days ago.
Had my appointment today in early pregnancy unit and everything was perfect- even saw a heartbeat! I'm 5weeks 5 days. Couldn't be happier. Was an absolutely awful time not knowing!
Hope you're all well x

Juno231 · 04/01/2022 10:36

@farley21 fantastic!! It's a good reminder that bleeding is common in the first trimester. Lots of ladies in my August group seem to have SCH which causes bright red bleeds.

@TheDaydreamBelievers it differs from place to place but for my HSG they wouldn't let me do the procedure if I'd had sex that cycle in case I was pregnant. I guess for their insurance reasons in terms of accidentally killing off an embryo but I also wonder what complications you could have from it being flushed into your abdomen? Isn't that when it calcifies? What I'm trying to say is that they probably will turn you down until your AF shows. I'm sorry the witch is so late!

Kay00 · 04/01/2022 11:15

@Farley21 that really is very good news Smile

@Moocher90 did you test today? We're 10DPO Grin But I'm thinking I won't test until Thursday, as I am going for drinks on Friday with my girl friends as there is a possibility I ovulated later than the 24th/25th.

ChinChilly · 04/01/2022 11:40

Hi ladies, hope you're all well. I've been missing for a while because I spend my days hugging the toilet and also with a bladder infection, that took my doctor 3 weeks to treat! So it's not been much fun but I had my last scan at Tommy's today measuring 12+2 around where I should be, this child is uncooperative already and was facing downwards the whole time so the picture isn't the best but I've got another scan on Thursday so hopefully will get a better picture then!

@Farley21 Great news!

@Juno231 good luck with your scan today!!

Kay00 · 04/01/2022 12:51

@ChinChilly that's lovely! Even if your little one wasn't being cooperative Smile

Moocher90 · 04/01/2022 13:20

@kay00 I haven’t tested because I am spotting and abit crampy and it’s always possible that AF is on the way. I’m 10DPO today. Going to monitor and see if AF comes in the next 24/48hours. If not will test on thurs or Fri xx
My ovusense temp was still high though and usually my temps drop off at around 8/9 dpo but this cycle they haven’t. I’m not feeling hopeful though despite the high temps.

@ChinChilly I'm so glad things are going well! @Farley21 great to hear your scan looked good too.

@Kay00 @Juno231 @Moocher90 spoke to the clinic today and have delayed until next wed. If it hasn't showed by next Monday we will delay again!

Kay00 · 04/01/2022 17:56

@moocher90 I really hope your spotting and cramping are the good kind xx

@thedaydreambelievers frustrating, but itz the right thing to do xx hopefully AF shows her face soon!

Juno231 · 04/01/2022 21:48

@Moocher90 @kay00 I hope AF stays away for both of you.

@ChinChilly that's madness that your sickness is still so bad - did they ever give you something other than cyclizine for it? And 3 weeks for a bladder infection is shameful! I thought mentioning that you're pregnant was meant to make GPs rush to help you? I'm glad baba is well though and it's amazing you're in the second trimester already!

Scan went well today - I was convinced there was nothing in there as I've had pretty much no symptoms but bean is doing well and measuring two days ahead at 8+3. I won't post a pic in case it's (even more) triggering though!

ChinChilly · 04/01/2022 22:25

@Juno231 nope still just cyclizine! I've asked so many times and they just keep telling me to stay on it 🙄 and the whole bladder infection is just ridiculous I gave a urine sample so they could check I wasn't dehydrated and it came back with red and white blood cells present so they asked me to repeat it so I did, then 2 weeks later I was calling about my sickness again and I remembered at the end of the phone call so I asked about the samples and they were just like 'oh yeah you have an infection can you pick up some antibiotics' honestly I hate my GP surgery.

Great news about your scan! Be grateful of the lack of symptoms none of them are fun 😂

Kay00 · 04/01/2022 22:27

That's also lovely news @juno231. From my point of view hearing your success stories and seeing any pictures is not triggering, as it's inspiring to know that we are all in with a chance. But I can't speak for us all of course xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/01/2022 22:31

@Juno231 so glad scan went well. I also agree your success is not triggering for me at all 😊♥️

MissC07 · 04/01/2022 23:37

@Juno231 @ChinChilly so glad both of your scans went well ❤️ Have you told any family/friends yet or just your other halves? I echo what @Kay00 said, it's so lovely to hear your stories from people that have been on this journey with us for months/years!!

Juno231 · 05/01/2022 09:42

Hmm I might sneak in this pic then - I was surprised at how much we could see and that it wasn't just a blob tbh! The sonographer said the embryo was sleeping and interestingly enough the egg appears to have been released by my dodgy left ovary which is meant to be tiny compared to a normal ovary 🤷

@MissC07 I was quite open about my infertility and that I was starting IVF this month so a lot of my friends who were invested in that already know I'm pregnant. I told my parents and brother as a Christmas present as I figured I wouldn't be able to tell them in person otherwise. I did caveat by telling them it's early days though, I was only 6+3 then.

It's all a bit of a shambles though. OH has told a second cousin he's close to and he told his dad at Christmas but is now wanting to wait until the 12 week mark to tell his siblings and mum (divorced parents) - which seems a bit unfair on MIL in particular! Oh well.
