@Kay00 I've picked it up, it seems like you can only take it in the morning 30-60 mins before breakfast so I guess I'll start it in the morning

TheDaydreamBelievers · 09/12/2021 16:44

Hey all, called assisted conception. Likely our initial appt would be early Feb. Did say there's quite a wait for hycosy. Her advice was to get it private if we can.

Juno231 · 09/12/2021 21:34

@TheDaydreamBelievers is private and option for you? I can't even guess what it would cost

@ChinChilly gosh I don't understand why all healthcare providers have been so slow to address things we already are wrong... What was your TSH this time?

@Kay00 feck I'm sorry, I had a good feeling about this cycle for you. Make sure you have a boozy Christmas as revenge x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 09/12/2021 21:37

@Juno231 yeah I already called private clinic! £500 and they could see me next week (but I can't do till early January)

ChinChilly · 09/12/2021 22:36

@Juno231 I don't know it's so frustrating. I didn't ask because the line was pretty bad so I could hardly make out what she was saying. She tried to call back but I was on the phone to the midwife so she left a voicemail saying she'll try again tomorrow. I just hope we're not too late with the medication to be honest I was already worried about another mmc now I'm just convinced it's going to happen again.

Kay00 · 10/12/2021 09:57

@chinchilly I really hope your fears are not true xx

@TheDaydreamBelievers My HyCoSy was £350, but that was in a provincial backwater clinic like Exter Grin I would expect a wait of a few weeks, so January seems reasonable.

@Juno231 I think I convince myself I'm pregnant every other cycle haha Grin. It has been particularly difficult these last few Clomid cycles however as my LP seems to be really long and I have to admit, that tugging and pinching a couple of days ago really set my mind wondering! I'm 14DPO and no sign of AF just yet.

I had a glass of wine last night and danced the night away in full fancy dress gear (I am the Ghost of Christmas Present in case you were wondering), and I have booked in to Give Blood next week to cheer myself up Grin

Love the costume @Kay00 and glad you had a good night. Sorry this cycle wasn't the one. I've been putting off giving blood while TTC which I feel really bad about but have been anaemic in the past and just don't want to chance anything throwing things off. You're so good to do it while juggling everything.

@TheDaydreamBelievers ouch, it all really adds up doesn't it! Glad you're getting booked in soon though 👍

@ChinChilly so glad you got the prescription sorted so quickly and fingers crossed all keeps going well for you. Sounds like you're doing everything you can in terms of sleeping anyway, glad you're away to sleep through the sickness too and fingers crossed that magic pill comes through for you x

@Tillybabs hope your MRI went well and another hurdle cleared.

@Juno231 congrats on the 2-3. Great to see the progression!

Kay00 · 11/12/2021 00:43

@gracie2021 I have also been putting off giving blood whilst TTC but have done it 2/3 times since I started. I have quite a rare blood type (AB-) and my blood doesn't hold on to antibodies (or something) when I get ill, so it's 'pure' like a babies (this is how the nurse described it to me). So my blood is always used at Neonatal units for babies and their mothers. So I feel duty bound to give blood when I can, it will also cheer me up knowing I have helped a little life in this way 🥰

WhirlingD · 11/12/2021 09:02

Love the costume @Kay00.

After my absent periods, I've just had a 21 day cycle. Feeling pretty rubbish.

Kay00 · 11/12/2021 10:26

@whirlingD 😔

Kay00 · 11/12/2021 19:37

I'm on 15dpo and no AF yet. I had some mild cramps earlier today and my back hurts so im hoping tomorrow she turns up tomorrow morning. In my last cycle AF didn't arrive until 17dpo (giving me a 16 day LP) 🙃 and i have read about lots of women who get long LP's on Clomid... one had a 19 day LP!! Eek! 😳 Now I know I'm not pregnant I just want CD1 to turn up!

Juno231 · 11/12/2021 21:14

@kay00 gosh I thought 17 days was the max you physically could have! Fingers crossed the witch doesn't dally if she is to come after all Loved your fancy dress, hope you had a great time!

@ChinChilly if you've made it this far I'm sure TSH wasn't to blame! You're so close to making it to the second trimester now 🤞

@WhirlingD I'm so sorry :( it's such a shit situation

ChinChilly · 12/12/2021 13:57

@Juno231 thanks, you're always good at the reassurance! I'm so torn about another scan I just don't want bad news before xmas, living in ignorance bliss/constant nausea at the moment lol

Gracie2021 · 12/12/2021 16:20

@ChinChilly can see how you would be torn about the scan. All you can do is take it day by day and go with your gut. Whatever you decide there's no wrong answer.

@Kay00 sorry you've been stuck with another long LP. I swear I nearly celebrate when CD1 hits at this point. Any luck today?
Kudos to you about the blood donation and brilliant that you can help the most vulnerable. Good karma due your way for sure!

@WhirlingD so sorry about this cycle. Absolutely sucks.

Kay00 · 12/12/2021 20:17

@gracie2021 yes, I woke up bleeding so it's CD1 today 🙌 I suppose a 15day LP isn't too bad. I treated myself to a hot bath and I'm baking a rice pudding 😋

This will be my 4th cycle of Clomid and I'm going to stick to the 25mg days 2-7 as recommended by the consultant (I might experiment in my 5th cycle). I'm going relax a lot in the run up to Christmas and my expected ovulation will be boxing day or the day after.

In my TWW my body will be a temple as the post Xmas diet begins. I'm also thinking of cutting back on dairy this cycle as it seems to do the trick for some women (such as Mint and Juno) and it can't hurt to try... apart from not eating cheese, yogurt, milky tea and cereal! 😖

Gracie2021 · 13/12/2021 07:55

@Kay00 I find it helps once you know it's going to be 15 days and you're not expecting anything different. Glad it finally came and onto a fresh cycle. I'm reducing dairy too this month but not sure if I can bear to give up the milky tea.... are you cutting out completely? I'm starting the New Years health kick now though as petrified I'll put on even more weight now that I'm on the steroids.

MintGreenLife · 13/12/2021 16:08

@Kay00 if you want any tips/product recommendations/have any q’s about going dairy free, or some meal ideas let me know! I’ve done it twice now as suspected CMPA with Elis so cut it out to avoid transferring it via breastfeeding, but don’t think he does have it after all! Anyway, it’s actually pretty easy to do once you get to grips with it xx

Moocher90 · 13/12/2021 19:05

Evening all, sorry I’ve been AWOL, nothing was going on with me and got provera prescribed to induce my period and now finally today is CD1! Took me to CD60 and I usually have 23 day cycles!
Got my NHS hycosy on Monday next week! Dreading it as my last one did hurt.

Hopefully I haven’t missed too much.

WhirlingD · 13/12/2021 21:36

I'm half doing the dairy thing too. There's coeliac and type 1 diabetes in my family and they suspect my early menopause is an autoimmune thing. So I'm mostly drinking oat milk and almond milk. I still have a bit of butter, cheese and yoghurt but I'm hoping the cutting down helps!

Although I had 2 flat whites today with normal milk because I forgot! Ooops.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 13/12/2021 21:36

@Moocher90 do the NHS need to repeat it even though you have already had one?

Kay00 · 14/12/2021 00:02

@mintgreenlife thank you 😊 that would be lovely! I'm also glad to hear Elis isn't CMPA xx

@whirlingD I think I'm going to find ut difficult to cut out completely... as I eat do much of it! But maybe this is my problem? 🤷‍♀️

@Moocher90 oh gosh! 60 days 😳 I'm CD2 today, so we can be cycle buddies x

Moocher90 · 14/12/2021 00:20

@TheDaydreamBelievers yes which is unbelievably frustrating and a waste of tax payers money as ive already had one privately. I sent the private paperwork to my GPs receptionist to add to my nhs file but when I had my gynaecology app they said they hadn’t seen any of the results and despite private scan would still have to do it on the nhs :/

OP posts:
TheDaydreamBelievers · 14/12/2021 00:22

@Moocher90 thats such bullshit! The NHS assisted conception service here said they would take private results so Im hoping that is the case! The NHS hycosy wait list here is 7 months and we wont even be added to it until start feb so I was hoping to skip that.

Moocher90 · 14/12/2021 00:25

@TheDaydreamBelievers I hope that where you are it’s better then the CCG here and they accept your private results xx

Gracie2021 · 14/12/2021 07:47

@MintGreenLife glad Elis is ok. Just wondering how do you find the milk alternatives in your tea, tea is my big concern. Sitting here drinking raspberry leaf tea instead of my usual milky tea as I figure it might help my lining and gets me away from milk but god I miss the cuppa!!

@Moocher90 so glad you got CD1 after that frustrating experience. Also can't believe they wouldn't accept your private scan. Are you still waiting for the repeat or have you had that done already?

@WhirlingD I forgot and had cheese in my quesadillas last night too. I figure even cutting back will helps even if I don't eradicate completely 🤞

@TheDaydreamBelievers fingers crossed they accept your private scan. How are you doing this cycle? x
