@Aims1991 @CShandy01 @hoola23 @MrsRosaline @plantbasedlondoner @LittleDoveLove thought I'd best start a new thread before it stops letting us post given we're almost at 1k! 🥰 x

Have I forgotten anyone!? X

@lionsmum I haven't seen my about Ferti-lily. I have just looked it up. Never knew it existed! Any other stories of using this? x

plantbasedlondoner · 14/10/2021 15:58

Thanks for the lovely messages everyone, in a way I feel like it's a fresh start every time... now let the manic baby making commence 🤣 thanks for the tip re femometer @hoola23 Maybe I will give OPKs another go this month. EWCM tracking seems to be the most accurate for me too.

Aims1991 · 14/10/2021 16:18

@plantbasedlondoner I don't really track EWCM I seem to just go off my OPK results.
Maybe I should track it, that's maybe where I'm going wrong

hoola23 · 14/10/2021 17:37

They say you should have sex wheneve you see ewcm but I had loads in my TWW!

plantbasedlondoner · 14/10/2021 19:22

Tracking EWCM is definitely a good thing to keep an eye on for a lot of women but I always think we are all different so it's important to work out what is best for you :) some people don't feel comfortable checking cervix or checking EWCM too so prefer BBT or OPKs etc. I don't wake at the same time everyday so BBT is out for me. A lot of these methods help us understand our own cycles and bodies better. I LOVED this podcast by a board certified gynaecologist and fertility specialist which explains all the different methods in a real nice and not overwhelming way www.nataliecrawfordmd.com/thepodcast/episode-051-trying-to-conceive

Out of the blue, DH told me this evening that he is fully on board with trying to make a baby and this month he is really going to commit! He was so busy with work during fertile week last time so it's nice he is taking an interest - I forget that every month we get a period also affects the partners too and they can feel pretty rubbish

plantbasedlondoner · 14/10/2021 19:24

@hoola23 interesting you got EWCM in the TWW.. has that ever happened before or just in this cycle?

@Aims1991 tracking EWCM has been the most accurate for me so far, worth checking out :)

hoola23 · 14/10/2021 20:03

@plantbasedlondoner it happened last month when I got a BFP too but it's was a thick type ewcm rather than the fertile stuff

CShandy01 · 14/10/2021 20:30

Hi all! Sorry for late catching up. Had a very busy day with DD yesterday and today at work was non-stop.

Not that you all want to know but TODAY BEGINS THE MANIC BABY MAKING 😂😂 well I say that, I know full well we'll be shattered after DD goes to bed, so maybe tonight won't happen. But I am determined for this weekend to almost me like it used to be - fun and not so much like a check list.

CM is in full swing now! But cervix still feels firmish so don't think I'm quite near ovulating yet. I'm betting sometime this weekend, hence the manic baby making commencing. It's weird hanging up all the OPK's and no checking of anything other than EWCM and cervix pre ovulation, but it's also quite nice 🙂

CShandy01 · 14/10/2021 20:34

@Aims1991 I did use OPK's and it worked for DD, but recently I feel they've been anything but helpful. I'm never quite sure when I ovulate, and my cycles are between 25 and 31 days. So it's always a case of "let's do it more times just to count" and it's just lost all meaning. I think I was so stressed out it just wasn't working.

Last month I ditched the tests and actually got to know my body a bit more. So now I know what to look for in terms of EWCM and what my cervix feels like around ovulation. As soon as I think I'm ovulating I'm going to them stop checking CM and my cervix and will just let nature take its course 🙂🙂

Aims1991 · 14/10/2021 20:45

@CShandy01 wow I don't think I know my body well enough to give up opks. I've been thinking I maybe stop DTD thinking I've ovulated and maybe I've not

Aims1991 · 15/10/2021 12:21

@CShandy01 happy baby making days, hopefully not too tired at nights

lionsmum · 15/10/2021 15:16

@FlyOnTheWall89 have a little google of other threads about it, have seen some really good reviews, think I saw it mentioned on MN originally and that's what made me buy it! Can highly recommend😊

CShandy01 · 15/10/2021 15:33

@Aims1991 @hoola23 @plantbasedlondoner @MrsRosaline how are we all doing today? Any plans for the weekend?

@newtolineofduty how are you doing chick??

MrsRosaline · 15/10/2021 15:53

@CShandy01 I'm doing OK. On CD25 now and still no ovulation 🤷🏻‍♀️ We are taking DD to the theatre this weekend. It's a show we booked before Covid and it's only finally reopened. She's a bit young for it now but we paid so we'll still go I guess!!

Aims1991 · 15/10/2021 16:04

@CShandy01 I'm all good. Not a lot this weekend. Visiting some family tomorrow and chill out Sunday. What about you

newtolineofduty · 15/10/2021 16:22

Aww sounds lovely @MrsRosaline @Aims1991 x

Agh I'm ok thanks @CShandy01 x just counting down the days to get to that first scan, and hopefully for this horrendous fatigue to pass! I'm also hungry now ALL the time! 😱 x

plantbasedlondoner · 15/10/2021 16:37

@CShandy01 doing ok thanks for asking :) CD2 and this period hasn't been as unbearably painful as last month's so silver linings! Out for a meal and movie tonight with DH and then seeing friends most of the weekend. DH said he thinks it hasn't happened for us yet as we haven't been DTDing every day and that's what his friends did to get their partners pregnant (lol I wonder how many are just boasting!). He wants us to try DTD every other night at least this month - so funny how suddenly determined he is!

Aims1991 · 15/10/2021 16:51

@plantbasedlondoner Atleast he's showing some thought into trying. My OH talks a good game then says he can't be bothered every night

newtolineofduty · 15/10/2021 16:55

@plantbasedlondoner sounds like he's been doing some reflecting and potentially talking to his mates!? All sounds good though! This last month was the month DP REALLY got on board with recognising how 'on it' we needed to be and it took some stress out of it! Xxxx

newtolineofduty · 15/10/2021 16:56

@CShandy01 I hope you have a lovely weekend baby baking! We won't be DTD for a LONG time as it triggered bleeding in my last pregnancy and I don't want to go through that again! Xxx

hoola23 · 15/10/2021 16:59

@CShandy01 hey! I'm doing ok thanks hun, just gearing myself up for manic baby making! It's my step daughters birthday on Sunday so we're having family over tomo for food then off to see a show so that will be fun!

newtolineofduty · 15/10/2021 18:54

Good luck @hoola23 xxx

hoola23 · 15/10/2021 19:29

@newtolineofduty thank you!! I really think I'm going to need it this month. Saying it now before I've even started, won't be successful. That's what the gut is saying!

How you feeling hun? X

newtolineofduty · 15/10/2021 19:36

I'm good thank you @hoola23-just very tired and generally grotty but I like it because it's telling me that hopefully my body is doing what Its supposed to be doing. Still feel anxious though and don't feel very 'connected' like I did with DD. Wonder if im trying to protect myself 😢 x

OP posts:
hoola23 · 15/10/2021 19:56

@newtolineofduty of course you are! Totally natural, it will change as time goes on hun don't worry!! I think once you have the scan you'll get more and more connected each day xx
