@Aims1991 @CShandy01 @hoola23 @MrsRosaline @plantbasedlondoner @LittleDoveLove thought I'd best start a new thread before it stops letting us post given we're almost at 1k! 🥰 x

Have I forgotten anyone!? X

@plantbasedlondoner still it only takes one shot! I'm terrible with the whole announcing thing! I literally wake up and tell him we have to have sex tonight 🤣 I'm also considering sending him a calendar reminded just in case 🤣

newtolineofduty · 16/11/2021 13:47

@plantbasedlondoner that happened to my DP a couple of times too-the pressure (in spite of me being chilled) he put on himself got to much! X

GemB03 · 16/11/2021 13:51

@plantbasedlondoner ah that sucks. It really does get to them too doesn't it. I'm terrible at acknowledging that with him, I need to do better. Maybe I'll be more subtle too this month... but he'll definitely know when I'm making him stop working as soon as I get in the door! lol x

newtolineofduty · 16/11/2021 17:41

@GemB03 @plantbasedlondoner @hoola23 I started off trying to be discreet eg just coming on to him but it didn't work when I did it three nights in a row-he knew I'd never want it that much usually! 😂 In the end I found the balance by telling him it was my fertile week but I never told him when I'd got my peak!!! The OPKs were a total secret hidden in the bathroom! X

Evening everyone, totally with you all on sex feeling like a chore rather than fun and we've only been ttc since May! I too can't tell my husband when I'm ovulating, it's like he gets stage fright from being made to perform. I'm on cd21 today and I had a positive opk on cd19 but no high fertility days so we've been busy dtd, I feel like I'm walking like John Wayne today. I had spotting from cd18 and I'm still spotting today which I've never had before, I'm hoping it doesn't ruin our chances x

newtolineofduty · 16/11/2021 19:13

@Hann91 😂 x that huge sense of relief when fertile week is over is the best feeling ever! X

OP posts:
plantbasedlondoner · 16/11/2021 19:59

This has all been so reassuring to read ... I'm going to try these more subtle approaches to DTD - the Google calendar reminders were probably a step too far 🤣 I am honestly not that much of a nutter, I just thought it might help give us a focus but has probably done the exact opposite!

@hoola23 I love your determination this month! Think I read that you have to avoid going for a wee for about 4 hours with OPKs so that maybe why.

Btw I love that we call it "fertile week"... sounds like "bread week" or "pastry week" from Bake Off but they honestly are a lot more inviting 😂

newtolineofduty · 16/11/2021 20:16

@plantbasedlondoner apart from
Caramel week-that just looked like too much stress! 😂😂😂

OP posts:
hoola23 · 16/11/2021 20:49

@plantbasedlondoner 🤣🤣 that's so true! I love bake off as well. Defo love it more than fertile week that's for bloody sure!

@Hann91 I had ovulation spotting last month but only a tiny bit mixed with cm. never had it before either!

I am feeling SO proud of myself. I actually signed up to a gym last night with DH and we went for the first time tonight. Managed 1.5 hours cardio and weights and I actually feel great!

newtolineofduty · 16/11/2021 21:13

Amazing @hoola23! Xxx

Hann91 · 16/11/2021 21:54

@hoola23 I started taking vitamin c and 100mg b6 at the beginning of this cycle and I'm wondering if the b6 has caused the spotting. I had a tiny bit of spotting at first but I've had quite a lot the last 2 days mixed with cm. Im going to stop the b6 for 5 days then start it again for the final week of my cycle.
I really need to get my arse into gear with exercise...I've been lazy the past 2 months! I need your determination to rub off on me 😂 x

hoola23 · 16/11/2021 22:21

@Hann91 I hadn't been taken any vits to get ov spotting but it could be for you maybe? Honestly, our bodies are the strangest things!

Oh this is not determination! This is desperation as none of my clothes fit anymore 🤣

MrsRosaline · 17/11/2021 09:12

A nice peak reading for me today on the CB and also high LH levels on Mira. Both DH and I are under the weather so there has been no baby making. DD also has an infection, so we've got that to deal with too! I'm just relieved that I seem to be ovulating on CD15 this month, rather than CD31, like it was last month! So I guess that means things have settled since the miscarriage. I don't mind skipping this month: a September baby is preferable anyway for work reasons. Maybe I'll get a BFP on Christmas Day or NYE 🤞🏻

plantbasedlondoner · 17/11/2021 09:34

@hoola23 That's amazing news, it is hard to get motivated with these dark evenings. Strength training is meant to be great for fertility too. You have inspired me to sign up for a fitness class tomorrow after doing nothing but sitting at the computer for the past six weeks!

@MrsRosaline wonderful that you got a good reading though, it's so reassuring to see signs of ovulation. It's no fun that you are all feeling poorly though - get some rest as that winter bug is horrible! Fingers crossed next month is yours :)

@Hann91 I have never heard of vitamins causing spotting but how interesting you noticed a difference. I do know that lots of spotting before ones period (a day or so is normal) can be a sign of a luteal phase defect as one of my friends had this but it was easily sorted. I have been a bit erratic with my prenatals but they don't seem to have affected my cycle much.

Also CD 35 and still no sign! I am testing on Saturday morning if there's still nothing as I need the time and space off work to deal with whatever it says!

hoola23 · 17/11/2021 10:36

@MrsRosaline that's great!! Glad things to be back to normal for you. September baby's are great! I love autumn too, my fav season!

hoola23 · 17/11/2021 10:37

@plantbasedlondoner omg how are you NOT testing yet!! You're amazing! I really hope this is it for you!!! Xx

Aims1991 · 17/11/2021 11:35

Morning all, been a quiet for days. Stilll not peak but will be a day or 2 away. Got my blood tests and I have high cholesterol so maybe that's the reason🤷🏻‍♀️

newtolineofduty · 17/11/2021 12:44

@plantbasedlondoner very exciting! Are you feeling Anything/any different!? X

OP posts:
plantbasedlondoner · 17/11/2021 12:49

@hoola23 @newtolineofduty I am just really fatigued and a bit bloated but I do feel like this in the run up to AF sometimes. I have had some twinges over the past week or so but nothing else, no nausea or anything like that.

I worked so hard to get my PCOS under control to 30 day cycles (they used to be 45+ day cycles a few years ago) so will be a bit gutted if it is just a late period and I am back to square one :(

One time when I was quite young I asked my mum about miscarriages and she said "you will understand one day. The minute you see that positive on a pregnancy test you imagine a whole future, you imagine your child growing up, even their graduation..." that always stayed with me and probably why I am delaying testing!

newtolineofduty · 17/11/2021 12:57

Aww yes @plantbasedlondoner that's totally understandable xxx

OP posts:
hoola23 · 17/11/2021 14:25

@plantbasedlondoner I totally get it but still admire you for not testing!! Oh I really hope this is your month! Sending you ALL the positive vibes ❤️

hoola23 · 17/11/2021 14:29

@Aims1991 hmmm I haven't heard that high cholesterol can impact fertility but it's also easily reverseable through diet I understand. Did they say anything else about your your hormones or is everything ok?

Aims1991 · 17/11/2021 14:34

@hoola23 all other bloods were ok. Well I googled high cholesterol and it said it defo impacts TTC! I'm now just so anxious I won't get it lowered

plantbasedlondoner · 17/11/2021 14:41

@hoola23 you are so lovely x

@Aims1991 yes unfortunately high cholesterol (or any metabolic markers that aren't great) can impact fertility but you should feel reassured as you can see great results and lower high cholesterol relatively quickly with lifestyle changes :) I have a lot of clients with that issue, its quite common. I have seen some of my clients' levels plummet in weeks! Hope you are not feeling too worried x

hoola23 · 17/11/2021 15:08

@Aims1991 @plantbasedlondoner I had no idea! Basically everything can impact TTC it seems! I bet that's my problem too! But great that there's no other hormone issues and you can defo sort out the high cholesterol within a few months I'm sure! Lots of healthy greens and lower the sat fat apparently! Easier said than done I know!
