Hya all

I am new to mums net. I am currently in my tww and losing hope again for this month. My af is due Friday the 24th. I have no symptoms really! Slight bruised feeling in sides of my boobs, and yesterday and sharp stabbing pains in my pelvic area. That's about it really. Just feel like af will show again and it's not happened again. This was my chart for this month as well and when we dtd

Apparently so @Ladylou17 but my temp still hasn't risen yet 😩 I don't know if I'm doing something wrong! Really hoping it doesn't mean I haven't ovulated this cycle. Your chart looks great!! When do you think you'll test? I would've done one by now hahaha xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 17/01/2022 08:23

@Ladylou17 I like this graph layout, it is really clear. My temp dropped by .1 - is that enough to say that AF is coming ? X

Ladylou17 · 17/01/2022 08:45

@Cruz86 you could be ovulating today so I would dtd just incase.
I know I'm tempted to do one tomorrow but it's too early isn't it.
@FlyOnTheWall89 no I don't think 0.1 is significant have you taken anymore tests?xx

Cruz86 · 17/01/2022 08:49

I like that layout too! I've just copied all my info across. My temp this morning was back to how it normally is, with no clear shift since the big drop a couple of days ago. Gonna dtd tonight just in case but it is worrying 😩

I don't think .1 means af will arrive @FlyOnTheWall89. Is your temp still above your cover line?

Try and hold out for a couple more days @Ladylou17!! X

2WW anyone? Af due Friday
Ladylou17 · 17/01/2022 08:53

@Cruz86 I think you should have a temp shift tomorrow. Sometimes it can be 36 hours from a peak to ovulation xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 17/01/2022 09:20

@Ladylou17 no it's still above the cover line and BPM (heart rate) has gone up slightly again - that is actually more clearly much higher in this phase than pre ovulation. I'm going to do some research into that side of things. No I didn't test this morning. I'll test Wednesday AM if nothing by then. On another thread, someone got their BFP on their 12th month and I also saw someone who got basically no line on a cheapie and a clear line on a FRER so maybe there is still hope! X

Ladylou17 · 17/01/2022 09:49

@FlyOnTheWall89 yes you're not out yet. Try with a FRER on Wednesday 🤞
When will you have your bloods back?
I have mine booked in for next month, slightly anxious they will say something is wrong xx

Cruz86 · 17/01/2022 09:56

Thank you for the reassurance @Ladylou17. So I'll assume ovulation is today and see what happens with my temp tomorrow!

@FlyOnTheWall89 yes you're definitely not out yet. I've got high hopes that you've both booked/had bloods that you don't actually need! Xx

Mama500 · 17/01/2022 11:26

Ladies would you mind explaining temps to me. I’ve never done it!

I might start next month but I have no idea what I need to what to do

Ladylou17 · 17/01/2022 11:38

@Cruz86 thank you xx
@Mama500 you take your temp first thing in the morning before you get out of bed.
Usually you will have a lower temp in the follicular phase and then a spike after you have ovulated it will stay elevated if pregnant or drop just before AF. I always find my temps correlate to OPKs so it definitely does work if you can try to take your temp at a similar time each morning xx

Ladylou17 · 17/01/2022 11:40

@Mama500 you will need to get a BBT thermometer they are quite cheap on Amazon and sensitive to slight drops and increases in temp rather than your standard ones xx

Cruz86 · 17/01/2022 11:41

This is only my first month temping @Mama500 and to be honest, I feel like they're all over the place 😂😂 I think it's good because it shows whether you have definitely ovulated or not which is something opks can't do! X

Mama500 · 17/01/2022 11:44

Thank you! Where do I input the data and do I need to start on cd1

Ladylou17 · 17/01/2022 11:51

Yes I would @Mama500 I use fertility friend it's easier to see than others I've found xx

Cruz86 · 17/01/2022 12:04

Yeah I like how easy it is to see in the graph (thanks @Ladylou17 😂) but also use Femometer too xx

Lucyasc · 17/01/2022 13:56

Hi I'm Lucy I'm new here hope you don't mind me joining in. I'm due on my period this Saturday we only started TTC this month. I'm feeling a bit weird and I feel like I'm driving myself insane with all the symptoms! I've been feeling nauseous today and hot in the face, hot flashes on and off last week and achey boobs. None of these are typical PMS symptoms for me I've never felt sick prior to a period before! Any advice?

FlipperyGibbet · 17/01/2022 14:02

Hi ladies can I join this thread please? I came across it last night and spent a few hours reading all the messages.

Im so sorry to hear of your losses ladies, there is hope coming through from others though so that is lovely to hear!

My background is: 30 years old, TTC baby no1. I fell pregnant on C6 (March 2021) but had a mmc at 6 weeks, identified at 9 weeks, surgically managed at 12 weeks. Genuinely thought I'd fall again quickly but sadly not.

This month marks C16 if I've counted correctly. My cycles range between 26 - 30 days but I'm currently on CD31 with no sign of AF yet. Took 2 ERFR tests but from reading your lovely chat I realise I took these at 5 and 8 dpo so I may have tested too early (BFN both times).

Trying to stay strong and not test...but have 2 ERFR tests being delivered today. Sorry for the essay! You ladies have also convinced me to buy a BBT and start temping too!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 17/01/2022 14:52

Catching up @Mama500 @Ladylou17 @Cruz86 ...

@Mama500 I didn't start on CD1... ideally you'll start a good week before ovulation so you can see the pattern and then the shift after you ovulate. With measuring, just make sure you do it before you do anything else. Don't get up and then do it. If you're ill or hungover or anything, I usually discount the day. It is super interesting. I did it years ago for prevention and it worked well ... however obvs I took next to no notice of it (just didn't have unprotected sex on the red days) so I'm learning so much more this time round.

@FlipperyGibbet oh so sorry you're having such a tough journey. I'm 32, trying to conceive baby #1 and I'm on cycle 9 I think. It's very mentally challenging so I really emphasise with you. Hopefully you won't need to begin temping and this will be your month. Have you had any tests done? Perhaps they date from your miscarriage rather than when you started TTC but not 100% on this!

Welcome @Lucyasc - some people say they do have symptoms this early but average implantation day is something like 9DPO so it could just be hormones playing tricks on you... hopefully not! Do you plan to test before AF?

X

FlipperyGibbet · 17/01/2022 16:22

Hi @FlyOnTheWall89 I paid for private screening in December, for both me and DH. All came back fine, above average egg reserves and high follicle count in both ovaries. Only thing of note was that my womb lining was thinner than expected (was 4.7mm and should have been 7 - 8mm based on CD). DH was also told to stop drinking so much coffee Grin

Definitely mentally challenging and draining! I really struggle to stay distracted when every twinge / toilet trip comes with a question "is this a pregnancy symptom?" / "is AF here yet?"

Lucyasc · 17/01/2022 17:17

@FlyOnTheWall89 fingers crossed its not my hormones playing tricks I've never had any of these symptoms before excluding hot flushes. I've been having cramps this evening which again is unusual! I wasn't planning to but now I think I might test before Saturday, thanks for your response x

Lucyasc · 17/01/2022 17:20

I think today is my 9 DPO according to my Flo App I ovulated on 7th January, I'm still new to working this all out too lol. Thanks again

Ladylou17 · 17/01/2022 17:56

@Lucyasc welcome! Good luck this month 😊To be honest I think when you're actively ttc you notice symptoms you never notice before. Unfortunately the rise in progesterone causes you to have a lot of pregnancy symptoms even when you're not pregnant. When do you think you will test?
@FlipperyGibbet welcome! Sorry to hear about you mmc I know the pain of going through that. I too thought it would be 'easy' enough to get my bfp again. Fingers crossed for us all this month x

Mama500 · 17/01/2022 19:04

Welcome @FlipperyGibbet and @Lucyasc

Good luck to you both this month!

Cruz86 · 17/01/2022 20:03

Welcome @Lucyasc and @FlipperyGibbet!

@Lucyasc if you're 9dpo and experiencing different symptoms to your usual ones, I'd definitely be taking a test 😂 I've got a faint bfp at that point with both my pregnancies. Good luck!

@FlipperyGibbet sorry to hear you've been trying for so long after your mmc. I had one in November so I'm only just on my first proper cycle since. Have you tested since your new tests have been delivered? 5 and 8dpo is definitely early!! Good luck to you too x

rita83 · 17/01/2022 20:57

Hello ladies how are we all. I am sorry I haven't been in contact lately. I have been bleeding on and off from 6 weeks as you know they found blood sitting near baby. I had another bleed Boxing Day and then another bleed last Tuesday where I had lost a clot as well. It has been such a rollercoaster for us both. I had my 12 week scan and baby is measuring 12 weeks 6 days and baby is doing fine they have said. I did have a bleed above babies sack last Monday which was the day before I had the bleed last Tuesday and when I have gone to the 12 week scan today that area of blood isn't above the sack now but there is a bleed in the uterus now so low down. Honestly this has been such a struggle for me dealing with this and just worrying constantly. We are just glad baby is ok really and doing well. X
