It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

@Minster2012 I’ll only ‘sweat’ at them if it is wrong, in which case I won’t be eating it anyway.... or paying for it, but I’ll trust them not to serve me anything ridiculous, happened once in bluewater mall, the waitress were English, but when the maitre realised we were Spanish, he sent the food back to the kitchen before it reach us, and change the order... so I am hoping that Spanish front staff will be more promising

The new girl at work has just found out she’s pregnant, is it ok for me to feel slightly gutted!?
She wasn’t trying, her first baby was IVF so she didn’t think she could get pregnant naturally. Her first pregnancy was so awful she said she would never do it again but now here she is running off to be sick every 30mins!
Obviously I am really pleased for her, but also very jealous I guess 😂

Is it too early for lunch? I'm starving (8dpo hormones playing up I think) and I've already had breakfast!

@dmb91 you can be gutted for a bit, but if first baby is ivf, surely she is one of us
Well, 11 ish means clearly well after 11....will disappear hopefully soon, till the evening

@dmb91 I get that feeling, that's how I felt when I found out my bestie was pregnant and as much as being excited and happy I deep down wished it was me! It's completely normal.
How amazing though that she didn't think she could naturally! Bless her!! M

@dmb91 I'm with @Franklydear I think - as an IVF warrior I think I'm just happy for her! That's my dream - that post IVF I conceive naturally for the second one by some miracle reset of my body. Totally get the jealousy though, you feel what you feel!

hi everyone! hoping you won't mind me joining in. this is quite the long thread so haven't read all the pages but from what I have read, you all seem lovely and hilarious and supportive x

I'm 32, TTC baby no1. Been trying for 5 cycles now, had a CP/early miscarriage in July (I was 5w+1 so not sure what that falls under). I ended up booking in for private fertility testing this month as my mum started the menopause when she was 34 (a fact that she brings up constantly) and I had quite a large ovarian cyst removed in my 20s which caused damage to my left ovary, so wanted to see if either of those things are significant to me now. Also having DH do a SA cos may as well.

@whatwonder welcome! So sorry to hear about your CP :( Hopefully that means you'll get your sticky bean in no time though. I had the same early menopause fears as you - make sure your tests include FSH and AMH tests (AMH in particular).

oh and embarrassing story...

This was years ago (and with an ex, but nevermind). I was only a few months into a new relationship and my bf had given me a key (I was in my early 20s, this was a biggg deal). I thought I'd surprise him at his flat and plan out a sexy evening. I lit a bunch of candles in his room and surprised him when he got home from work. Needless to say, he was into it and things kicked off straightaway. In the throes of passion (and mid position change) I accidentally kicked a candle on his nightstand, it fell onto the bed and lit his duvet on fire. So mid sesh, we quickly realised his bed was on fire, I yelled and ran to grab a water jug nearby to throw on the flaming duvet, which thankfully put out the fire, but also completely soaked him. Ended the night in TK Maxx buying new bedding...not exactly the romantic evening I had envisaged :/

IVF update! The clinic just called. My first scan and DH needs SA has been booked. They could have done next Tuesday but I can't do it annoyingly. So it's booked for the following Wednesday. We then have a phone appointment the following morning with the Dr to discuss. Eek.

@Minster2012 it's so warm and normally I love it but today... nope!! It's making me tired and nauseous and mardy as fuck I've had a nap at lunch and getting naff all work done OOPS! Skipped to the new series and on the 3rd episode - no wonder work isn't getting done haha

Welcome and thanks @whatwonder I also had an early loss in July. So anxious as hell.
My family have early menopause my sister is 40 and in it already, thankfully I'm 35 so have a couple of years hopefully! But I was very aware of that when TTC as I knew deep down I was running out of time quicker than others. It's worrying but you can do this! 🤞🏼 for a short bus ride for you!

Yeah god knows why he needs yet another SA? But what's one more. No idea about the scan? She didn't say. Maybe they just check there is nothing weird? Then do another in time with your cycle? Maybe they don't trust the hospital ones! I'll be almost at ovulation by the time I go, which is not ideal at all. 🙄

@paintfairy that's not too bad timing wise cause you could hopefully be sent the meds then before your new cycle starts

@Juno231 yes I got my bloods taken last week and they're testing AMH, FSH, LH, thyroid function and some other ones I can't remember. I'm also going in later in my cycle to get my progesterone levels checked (my temp doesn't increase too much after ovulation, even when I got my bfp so in my head that means my progesterone levels might be off, but fully aware I could be reading too much into it). @bez91 interested to see how you get on with accessing progesterone, hopefully you hear back from the gynae soon!

@larrythelizard I've been using the Ava bracelet (bought it 2nd hand from a friend) was it you that mentioned them? I definitely like that it's easy to use - don't know if I cba temping every day, but I guess it's hard to know if it's 100% accurate. App says I ovulate around CD16-17 and it's recognised "biphasic" phases in most cycles (indication that ovulation has occurred) but still don't know if it's spot on. I have to say that since coming off birth control, I haven't really had any EWCM. anyone else the same?
