Hey everyone :) sorry I've been absent from here after the MC. Had a few complications with it so needed some time off. I think fingers crossed I'm at the end of it now so starting to think about TTC again. Will be doing a test soon to double check it's all done with. Quick question though, I'm going on a weekend away to a cottage with a hot tub this weekend. If I'm negative and could be leading up to ovulation, would it be best to not go in the hot tub? I know the docs said to wait for the first period so they can date it easier but I just want to get started ASAP and don't want to do anything that might jeopardise it.

@kat668 I'm sorry you've had a rough time of it. The hot tub precaution is when you're already pregnant I think, as it's about the raising of your body temp potentially harming the baby the same way it's really bad for you to have a fever when pregnant. Around ovulation it won't have an effect - although it might for OH's swimmers if he's going too!

I'd say don't overthink it as you could be a while away from ovulation if unlucky - lots of post MC cycles get wonky. Focus on relaxing and having a good time, you deserve it!

@Kat668 sorry you've been having an awful time. Personally I would go in the hot tub, maybe just drop it a couple of degrees or don't stay in too long if concerned.

@Juno231 and @Sunshinedaisybuttermellow thank you both. Love a good hot tub so will make the most of being able to go in! It's a girly weekend so hubby won't be affected 😂 need to look at the positives as this weekend was when I was meant to be telling them I was pregnant so will be a bit tough.

@Kat668 sorry your finding it hard, I get it sometimes I sit and think about the milestones we would of hit by now, finding out the gender, 20 week scan etc... it's really tough.

Random question ladies, does anyone have the dyson airwrap? I'm pretty tempted to buy one but the price tag isn't cheap (£450) so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the price tag or not.

@ChinChilly yeah it's tough, yesterday would have been my scan, but luckily work was really busy and took my mind off it. I've gone back and caught up, and just want to say I hope you're OK and the referral, whether private or with Tommy's goes well x

I haven't got one but I've heard good things! I always check independent review pages to see what people are saying too, might be worth checking those with that price?

This morning I got my negative test, and I haven't bled for a few days so think I'm gunna start TTC again today! 🤭 I had loads of EWCM yesterday evening so not sure if that's just the end of the MC or whether my body is already ovulating but I'm not ginna risk it and miss my window! 😂

@ChinChilly I don't have it but have been following lottiedrynan on insta for ages and she seems to looove hers and it's not an ad lol.

@kat668 perfect timing! Hopefully ovulation happens pre weekend so you don't have to stress about missing the egg

Hi ladies! I hope you're all well. Sorry I have been off the radar for a little while. My life has become very busy and complicated recently and I haven't had any time to myself. My sis in law has moved in with us (she fled her abusive bf) and brought her pregnant dog (who gave birth to 7 puppies on the weekend)... so that's 10 dogs and 3 humans in the house!

On top of that my step mum is on life support in hospital with Covid. She's not expected to make it through tonight. I'm sat up crying, wishing I could go visit her. It's an absolute tragedy 💔 😢

@thedaydreambelievers I hope this doesn't scare you. My step mum had a reduced immune system following chemo for cancer last year, that's why the Covid has hit her so hard. I hope you make a quick and full recovery xx

I'm on CD10 of my first Clomid cycle. I need to try and DTD tomorrow 🤦‍♀️ I cant imagine it will be particularly romantic given the circumstances! Just my luck! My scan is on Mon 27th.

@Kay00 sorry to hear about your stepmum . How cruel that she had cancer and then the dreaded Covid!

You must be all over the place at the moment with everything going on in your house too I feel it for you.

@Kay00 oh I'm so sorry to hear about your step mum :( It's all so unfair. Poor woman just beat cancer too. Maybe look at BD tomorrow as a loving comfort thing? Heck wouldn't be the first time I'd cry during BD.

DH and I are both fine but have had our own family bereavement so between that and covid19 we havent been very much in the mood for DTD either.

This is day 4 off the pill, been on it for 15 years. No periods the last 11 years on the mini pill so really intrigued as to what my body is actually going to do…

Already have sore boobs and sickness (not pregnant just the pill withdrawal).

Plan is TTC #1 after Xmas but tbh I can’t see us lasting that long before giving up being careful!

@PinkFizz1 welcome! Wise of you to stop a few months before xmas, just in case it take a while to settle :) Will you be using alternate protection in the meantime do you think or kinda "not trying, not preventing"?

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm sorry to hear you've had a loss too. I lost my grandmother to it back in Jan and haven't been able to see my family since Dec 2019 so it's been tough seeing my mum suffer from afar.
