Ah glad you’re nearly there @HRP1990! I know how slow the time goes waiting from it, but not long now!! 😊 Sorry to hear you’ve not felt good, though sickness is supposed to be a really good sign that all is well! Hope it all goes well. Would be great to hear how you get on!

Yes I do actually, I self referred at 6 weeks and I have my booking appointment at 10+1 and my scan at 12+4! I couldn’t believe it when I got a letter about the scan.. that made it feel so real!

I assume you’ve got all yours in place as you’re a little further ahead? X

Ah that’s great! It’s so weird and exciting getting all the appointments through isn’t it? 😁 I had my booking appointment last Monday and just got my scan letter today, which is at 12+3. It’s 3 days after my birthday so was hoping to have it a few days earlier so I could hopefully be more relaxed on my birthday and be able to tell everyone then haha. But still just glad to have it and hopefully all will still be ok then!
I’m really struggling with not telling people, especially as I’m trying to avoid socialising indoors too much as I hadn’t had my vaccine yet and my midwife has suggested waiting until second trimester.
Have you told many people yet or still just the one friend? x

@Mrsspoon3 Oh that’s so exciting!! Did your OH come to the booking appointment? I’ve heard it’s just lots of questions about yourself and family history so not really any need for them to be there?

Do you have big plans for your birthday? You could always plan something for the weekend after and announce then!

We’ve told a few people but only because an occasion has come up and we didn’t want to make up an excuse to avoid seeing them. I have found that all our friends have suddenly messaged to see us, it’s such bad timing 😂 I’m trying to plan “nights out” for mid September lol

@HRP1990 No I didn’t think people normally came to the booking appointments so went by myself, but the girl ahead of me had someone with her and when I got my notes next to “Accompanied by” it said “Alone” which made me feel a bit sad haha 😂 I don’t think he needed to be there though as was just lots of questions as you say! Some were about him but not many of them. Think he’d have been bored haha. Will yours go with you?

No not much planned at all for my my birthday, think I’m going to the zoo with DH haha, then a family meal I think. So could maybe plan something weekend after to announce! 😊 Although to be honest I have told quite a few people already because of the hen do, and we had to tell DH’s parents because I told my mum, then I had to tell my dad and siblings as his parents and sister knew (as she lives with his parents) so told way more people than I planned to! 🙈😂 Going to tell everyone else after the scan though.

Ah has everyone been really excited for you? Are you avoiding seeing people as not feeling too good? Hopefully you can have lots of fun in September instead! 😊 x

I'm sorry to read this @taytay2020. Is there anything causing you stress right now? I honestly believe stress is a huge inference to conception.
You are Now able to see this month as a fresh start, do some self care, get a massage booked with DH and have a glass of wine (one won't hurt).

Honestly couldn’t be happier and reassured 😭

@mrsspoon3 I forgot to reply to your previous message! I think I’ll go alone to my booking appointment, otherwise he’ll have to take the day of work as it’s during the day and I don’t think it’ll be worth it for questions at my GP!

I think the further along you are, the more reassured you are - especially after a scan! But 12 is the big one 🙌🏻 We’re just avoiding people that we’d usually go to the pub with, or on nights out with haha as that’s a big giveaway!

@HRP1990 13! We had our scan on Monday which was kind of incredible. The change between 9+5 and now is mind blowing. Baby has a tiny nose and a tiny mouth now!

@HRP1990 ahhh that's so lovely! And I'm sure it must have been reassuring to actually see it. I'm sure time will fly by before your next scan!

@glasspaw that is absolutely precious! Glad everything is going well.

@90sPadme I'd describe my current stress levels as so chilled I'm horizontal so it's just bad luck. We've got to stop trying now until next year, to make sure I'm not accidentally giving birth during our twice postponed wedding reception. (Thanks covid.) It should have been last summer and over with by now but I'm sure I'd regret it if we just cancelled altogether. We're not big party people so this is it! The one party we're throwing! Ever! So I'll just spend the rest of this year drinking wine, eating soft cheese, sleeping in every morning, and doing dangerous sports 😀

Little update, i am 10dpo on 2nd cycle ttc#1. First cycle lasted 79 days... today is cd34 and I got a BFP😭😭

I cant believe it, i handed my notice into work a week and a half ago and was more relaxed this cycle as i wouldnt be too disheartened with the job change happening.

I cannot believe it! I have pcos and thought this would be a long journey for me😭😭

@HRP1990 - so glad the scan went well! The lady is lovely isn’t she? She said to me - you just need to eat all the carbs 😂 I had my booking appointment last week and it said on my letter that I had to go alone. It is just a lot of questions, weeing in a cup/pot and taking blood and blood pressure. The midwife couldnt get enough blood from me though so I had to go to the phlebotomy department at the hospital 😅

I have my 12 week scan in less than 2 weeks - glad yours went well @glasspaw and you saw a lot more detail!

I'm so frustrated - don't know what my body is playing at this month. Started getting flashing smiley on CD6 with CB which is early but was hopeful that might be ovulating earlier. Now CD14 still flashing smiley and three days of high temp. App thinks I ovulated CD10 which would be really annoying as didn't use PreSeed until after that and not sure I had any EWCM.

Attached temp charts for this and last cycles. Got a phone appointment with gp for Monday as so sick of the not knowing. For the first time I'm glad I'm older so I don't have to go through a year of this s**t before finding out if something I wrong.
