@Sparklingwine1 we didn’t actually DTD as much as previous months due to being ill, we managed 3 days before ovulation and the day before ovulation! We did a few days after but I’m not sure that would have contributed though.

Like you said though, if can take healthy couples up to a year so don’t put too much pressure on yourself just yet 🤞

Thanks @Sparklingwine1 ! I’m feeling okay, have some dull aching/cramping which is on and off, more like a twinge but main thing is my boobs have been mega sore for the past couple weeks. Nothing else going on but it’s extremely early days. I’m actually with my family now (haven’t seen them for two years) and trying to think of now I’ll not drink for the next couple weeks when I’m here visiting them. Think it’s a bit too early to tell my mum and dad but then again I won’t see them in person again for who know how long so in two minds about what to do.

We DTD about 5 times within my FW +/- a few days. If I ovulated on the day my chart indicated, we DTD on the day plus the two days before as well.

Other things I did differently this cycle- took evening primrose oil up until ovulation (might have had a change on my CM but not sure), used pre-seed, limited my caffeine intake throughout the cycle, and took pregnacare conception vitamins. Who knows if any of those made a difference but this was the first cycle I did this combo.

Well that was short lived. Woke up to spotting and light cramping, progressed to severe cramps and red blood. Went and got blood works to get hcG level and confirmed that I’m having a miscarriage/chemical pregnancy. Was told I need to wait a couple cycles before trying again. Feeling completely shattered with this.

@whatwonder I’m so so sorry to hear that. I know how awful that feels (I’ve had 2 chemicals), it’s completely heartbreaking. I know nothing anyone can say can help you feel better, but I’m so very sorry and sending hugs. Hope you are ok xx

@Sparklingwine1 Thank you! 😊 I hope you’re feeling ok. I know that panic well but as you say lots of healthy couples take 6 months to a year, so don’t lose hope!! It’s super frustrating and can be so upsetting, but I always found the stats reassuring that the overwhelming majority of couples get pregnant eventually, and most within a year. Hope you’re feeling ok xx

Me and DH definitely didn’t DTD a lot (due to his hip issues). This time we DTD the day I ovulated, 2 days before ovulation, 5 days before ovulation, and 7 days before (which wouldn’t have counted) so definitely not loads. I read that every other day is great, though we didn’t quite manage it.

@Sparklingwine1 how you getting on? I am sure you are DTD enough, I always see every other day is fine and you're right it can take healthy couples up to a year so i wouldn't worry yourself. I had a mini panic last month as well but I'm sure we're both completely fine and it will happen :) yes planning to have a month off ttc for me although things got the better of me at the weekend lol but not near fertile time so not too concerned :)

Thanks all who replied to my DTD question! It's a relief to know others DTD every other day too ☺️ I looked at other people's graphs on Fertility Friend and was like HOW are all these people having so much sex?!! Some people were literally DTD every day for weeks!

@Aries491 my month is just not going to plan 🤣 we knew we would miss half of the FW due to going away however the fertile days we WERE together on, DH was unwell. So we basically have just written this month off. We DTD once in FW .. maybe on the first day? So little to no chance really.. but I haven't tracked OPKS or temp so no idea on where things are. Everything's gone out of the window this month I have even drank way more coffee than previous months instead of being strict. It's been a nice mental rest in a way though as I just haven't thought about TTC at all.

How is everyone else doing?

@Sparklingwine1 oh no I hope your DH gets better! It does only take one though so you never know what could happen, never rule yourself out until AF arrives :) if not then we will be similar cycles again in September haha! It is a good mental rest I agree so that will have done you some good. My OH has been poorly too so even if we were ttc as normal he has not been up to anything lol.

I just caved and tested: BFN. I've still got a couple more days before AF is due, but I've got no symptoms so I think that's me out of the ttc game til next January 😭

Sorry to hear about the BFN @taytay2020. A lot of people have no symptoms so keeping my fingers crossed for you since 🧙‍♀️ hasn't shown her ugly face yet.

Hi guys, so after a months hiatus while we went on our holibobs and I stopped being all OCD about when we had sex etc
This happened.
I'm still a bit stunned tbh, not due on till Friday but my boobs are so sore and I'm so bloated we decided to just rule it out and get ready to start again next month.
I'm just nervous now about it being viable and if it will stick.
I'm due in April xx

@HRP1990 @KayL1988 thanks for your kind words! Sadly AF arrived in spectacular fashion this morning. I'd already made peace with it so I'll just enjoy the extra few months of freedom while I still have it! And maybe have a gin later.
