Thanks so much for the lovely messages everyone, I really appreciate them! 😊 Been trying to just chill out today. Had work to take my mind off things, then going to try and relax this evening.

So sorry to hear you have anxiety too @Peachycream! I know how horrible it is to worry and panic over stuff all the time. I am trying so hard not to worry about stuff I can’t control, in all areas of life, but anxiety is horrible.

Sorry to hear you got a BFN @taytay2020. How long do you plan to take a break for if needed? Hopefully you’ll get pregnant before then and won’t need to!

@80sPadme good to know I'm not the only one! Hopefully it will happen for you with plenty of time to spare. I'm definitely regretting not starting ttc sooner, now I know how long it could take! Hindsight eh?!

@mrsspoon3 I hope you managed to relax today. I think we could try for one more cycle now, then we'll have to wait until at least November (or more likely January) before trying again. I'll have to see how impatient I get!

Positive thoughts for everyone hoping for their BFP over the next couple of days.

Anyone else not sure what DPO they are? I know I’m roughly 4DPO but didn’t quite catch ovulation. 10 days is a long time to wait out AF! Anyone else got a long wait?

I think it depends on the strips @OnTheRoadNow ... I had the easy at home ones and I'd say they are pretty sensitive!

@OnTheRoadNow I got a BFP at 10dpo on an IC which apparently measures from 10uI/ml, it was negative at 9dpo.
I think FRERs are meant to be 6uI/ml but obviously more pricy

So I'm CD9, I usually ovulate on CD14 or 15. Something felt off, so I POAS and got a hit on my OPK strip, not a big hit but enough that there's a decent line. Normally I get nothing until CD12. I expected this months cycle to be longer due to last months CP, but the strip is the kind of line I'd expect to see on a CD12/13. I counted Cd1 as the day I started bleeding and had lost the pregnancy but should I have started earlier? I had a BFP a day before I started bleeding so have I miscounted? Or is this just a short cycle? Any thoughts, very welcome!

I think the earliest I’ve seen is 8DPO, and it’s been quite a squinter but I have no idea if you can potentially manage it earlier. How many days PO are you @OnTheRoadNow?

God I feel really pathetic today. I feel like I just can’t be laid back about all this, I literally do not know how to go with the flow. If I had even a vaguely regular cycle I’d be packing in the OPKs and temping and going with the flow. The temping in particular is getting my worked up. I’m tempted to pack that in for a bit as it’s affecting my sleep - I’m worrying about what my temp will be before I even go to sleep.

I really felt like I ovulated yesterday. I’d had the peak OPK the day before, pains literally all day, my LH dropped too which it hasn’t done before when I’ve been going through the cycle of attempts to ovulate. Then obviously this morning I couldn’t take my temp, well I ended up taking it at 5.30 or something after being awake for an hour and going to the toilet, so it literally means absolutely nothing, but because it was low I got stressed. Even though it’s completely inaccurate. And then today I thought I had EWCM but it’s thicker and cloudy/a bit yellow, and google tells me EWCM can go like that after ovulation. So now I’m already worrying about taking my temp tomorrow as I feel like it will inevitabley be low and I’ll be really disappointed because I felt so sure this time.

I’m considering ditching the temping and maybe even tbe opks (although I find those less stressful) and just going by EWCM - if there’s EWCM, DTD until it’s gone for a couple of days, basically. But the thing is, I won’t know whether to expect AF, so I’ll end up taking pregnancy tests and getting my hopes up when actually I never ovulated in the first place.

Anyway so this is how my brain is making this into a massive deal. I read a thread on here before about a lovely lady who had lost two of her gorgeous children within a matter of months, and I just thought, here you are feeling miserable about a long cycle when people go through such awful tragedies, they’d kill to be in your position. But I can’t help feeling disappointed each time my body ‘fails’ and I’m not sure how to switch that off.

Maybe I just need to keep saying to myself, I will ovulate again. It might not be tomorrow and it might not even be in the next few weeks, but me stressing about it won’t speed it up - in fact it will have a negative impact!

@SareBear87 I’ve heard that chemicals can really play havoc with your cycles for a couple of months so it’s totally possible you’ve ovulated earlier. Good job you did tbe OPKn

@SkeletonSkins I'd say that stress isn't going to do you any good at all and if temping is causing that then stop. Be kind to yourself. You can't control what your body is going to do but if you can monitor it in a way that's least stressful for you I would do that.

I used to do a job that had me stressed out all the time and the anxiety that went with it would wake me up at 2/3am every night - it's not healthy. Don't do it to yourself when you don't need to x

CD7 and first day of testing for me of cycle 6. Big O on the CB but not really expecting a smiley til tomorrow. Is it weird that I've kinda missed peeing into that cup...?

Yesterday was CD79... today is CD1🎉🎉

Finally onto cycle 2 (month 3) of ttc!! Not even sad as now i know i did ovulate exactly 2 weeks ago when i thought!

@Eli707 thank you! Talking about peeing into a cup. Im glad i get at least a few days off doing that now!😂 i was still opking up until yesterday as i couldn't believe that i finally ovulated 2 weeks ago even though all the signs were telling me!

Hoping this cycle will be half that length now im on conceive plus ovulation support!

Guys I think it may have finally happened… not exactly sure when, if I looked at that graph I’d say cd 28, if I go by my body I’d say CD30, and my other app is saying CD31. If it’s CD 31 I’m almost definitely out because the last time we DTD was CD28, tbh the chances are thin even if it was CD30, but the main thing is I’ve ovulated (hopefully!!) and this will be my shortest cycle so far, so at least now I know my body can do it if I’m patient.

Saying thar, watch my temp drop dramatically tomorrow and it have failed again. I’m really hoping not because the most rises I’ve had before a fall had been two, so I’d expect it to have already dropped if it has failed, and my body signs do align with the idea that I have managed it:

Yay @CTMcG I'm really happy for you!! Fingers crossed the conceive Plus O support helps next cycle. For now, put your feet up, have a wine, some cheese and lots of chocolate because you deserve it!

Ahhhh @SkeletonSkins this is good news! Even if u did ovulate on CD 31 you are still in with a chance as CD 28 is 3 days before then. I'm similar though in that if I haven't DTD at least the day before O day I think I'm out! But this is the kind of attitude that stresses us out. I don't know if you remember those graphs I posted in the last thread showing chances of conception based on days before ovulation... the graphs did vary a lot depending on what data was used but one of them showed 3 days before O day was 27% chance. Another one showed like 8% but the point is even that is a chance! Let us know what your graph says tomorrow xx

I’ve just been studying those exact graphs @Sparklingwine1 😂 tbh I do think it was Weds (CD30) rather than yesterday (CD31) as I had pains and then my EWCM changed yesterday (lol sorry tmi). Either way like you say just wait and see, I’m just happy to have potentially ovulated to be honest.

Do you normally have a two week window after your ovulation or can that vary?

With the ratios from 0.45 to 0.58, your test result is negative, right？ I usually get a peak with over 1.0 (I attached my chart here), so I barely notice the difference between 0.45 to 0.58 (I am very sorry) ... There are many reasons for not getting a peak. Try these: limit liquid intake 2 hours before testing; test twice a day (at noon and in the early evening) so as not to miss the peak if your surge is rapid; keep testing continuously as missing a day means you may miss your peak.

@EllieAdam Everybody is different and some people don't get as high levels as others. I've never got higher than 0.8 in 3 cycles so my Premom classes my 'peak' at lower levels than what yours would be. I've used an OPK with every wee this cycle for the past 5 or 6 days so I know I haven't missed it anything.
