Hi everyone seems like it's been forever and a day since I posted on here about my ectopic pregnancy back in August. These past 7 months have been a blur and since we had the all clear in October, we decided to just let nature take its course. I don't want to get my hopes up or get excited but I missed my period yesterday and took a test - I think there is a faint positive line? I don't think my eyes are deceiving me at all xx

That isn't faint at all! Congratulations Flowers

Mistysmom · 13/03/2022 07:59

@Bundaberg84

That isn't faint at all! Congratulations Flowers
Thank you @Bundaberg84, I think I was telling myself no way. I haven't said anything to my partner yet, I don't want to get him excited again as it broke me the last time. We are getting married in 5 weeks too 🙊

Hello ladies, just wanted to update you all with a positive post - two weeks ago we welcomed our little rainbow babe Theadora Rose into the world, we are absolutely besotted with her, it was exactly one year ago to the day from when I received treatment for my ectopic that we transferred our five day embryo (felt like fate at the time) and it was clearly meant to be as the little bean stuck fast - it was a difficult road after the ectopic and took me a while to heal particularly dealing with fertility issues on top of everything else, but this group really helped me - it did get better and I healed both physically and emotionally with time - wishing you all lots of love and self care, there is a light at the end of the tunnel !! 🤍🤍🤍 xxx

Kate105 · 28/03/2022 17:31

Oh congratulations @Luan82 gorgeous news ❤️❤️❤️

Mistysmom · 01/04/2022 16:19

Congrats @Luan82, such a lush name!

Had my 6 week scan today and my jelly bean has stuck in the right place so crossing all my fingers and toes now 🤞

NigellasMicrowave · 02/04/2022 19:18

Such lovely news @Luan82 - welcome to the world, little one.

And brilliant news @Mistysmom, all fingers crossed for the next few weeks - you must be having your wedding soon, too?

Mistysmom · 03/04/2022 19:49

@NigellasMicrowave yes in just over two weeks!! Panicking a bit today as I've had a brown discharge whilst wiping (apologies for tmi) - I am going to see how it goes throughout the night and phone the epu tomorrow if still happening xx

NigellasMicrowave · 03/04/2022 20:41

Oh that’s always a bit scary - a phone call to the EPU sounds about right. Hope you’re having a chance to rest and enjoy the wedding’s final stages, too.

Mistysmom · 04/04/2022 12:41

Thank you @NigellasMicrowave. Just last minute bits and pieces now so will have to rope in the family to help.

Just spoke to the EPU now and they said to keep an eye on things but not to worry at this moment and to get back in touch if it gets any worse.

I hope you are well atm xxx

DoctorBambino · 17/04/2022 12:57

Congratulations @luan82, I was just thinking about you and how you were getting on so it was great to find your update! What a beautiful name!

Max is 3 months old now and the cutest baby I've ever seen, I might be biased 😍 hope all is well xx

Louise276 · 05/06/2022 16:41

Just for anyone logging back onto this thread in months to come - I have some good news to report and I know how much I needed hope over the last year.

After an ectopic in May 2021 resulting in the removal of my right tube, and two MC before that, I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of May 2022, despite being all prepped to start IVF in June. It took a total of 10 cycles post operation.

After 3 monitoring scans (about a week apart) at my local EPU I had a scan last week where we saw a baby with a heart beat measuring bang on my dates of 7 weeks in the right place.

We still have a way to go before our 12 scan so we are no way yet out of the woods, but here is hoping that this is the one which is going to stick!

Best of luck to anyone still going through trying post ectopic! Xx

Mummyme87 · 05/06/2022 18:14

Congratulations @Louise276 suxh lovely news
I’m on cycle 8, not sure how many DPO I am as am on holiday and wasn’t doing OPKs properly so never got my peak. My apps all think 5dpo

Mistysmom · 05/06/2022 18:28

Congratulations @Louise276 , they told me that hearing a heartbeat was always a good sign. I really hope everything goes well for you.

We are currently 16w+5d after ectopic last August and these past few months have been the scariest days of my life. But everything is well 🙂

To those going through an ectopic or recovering, please don't lose hope.

Bundaberg84 · 05/06/2022 20:04

Congratulations @Louise041 and @Mistysmom ! I just had a hycosy (no actually it was a hsg) and my remaining tube is alright, so I hope something happens in the next couple of cycles

Mistysmom · 06/06/2022 07:28

Thank you @Bundaberg84 . That's good news for you too. Crossing my fingers for you for your next few cycles xx

Koalie · 07/07/2022 14:13

Hi ladies

I hope you don’t mind me joining you … I have a decision to make and I’m hoping you might be able to help?

I had a MMC in October last year and am now currently being monitored for a PUL. My HCG levels have been:

17/06: 45
20/06: 35
22/06: 38
25/06: 25
29/06: 28
06/07: 30

Did anyone else have such low/slow falling hcg and did it resolve naturally in the end? I am trying to decide whether I am wasting my time waiting and should just have the Methotrexate. I am booked in for the injection tomorrow but I’m having doubts about whether it’s the right thing to do. It’s been 3 weeks already and not much has changed but I can’t bear the thought of having to wait another 3 months before we can start trying again! :(

If anyone can relate, I’d really love to hear what the outcome was for you.

Thanks in advance <3 x

I know I'm reviving an old thread, but just looking for some support and people to talk to.

I've had two ectopics now.

First Jan 2021, fell pregnant on the coil and treated with MTX, left side.
Second April 2023 actively TTC, right side rupture and tube removal.

No luck conceiving since then. I've had a Hycosy and my remaining tube apparently looks fine even after an ectopic on that side.

I've also got PCOS to boot, with short luteal phases (8-9 days) which doesn't help.

We already have a son, 3yrs old. Who I love more than anything and I'm thankful every day for having him.

It's so hard to find info out there for success stories after more than one ectopic.

My fertile window starts next week and I'm almost dreading it. Another fertile week of scheduled sex, another TWW, another month of my period starting before I even get a chance to test.

Anyone else in a similar position?

Smileyfrown · 25/09/2023 16:47

Yup.. same. Situation here and time is not my friend either.... still trying but not going crazy about it anymore .. I found that it was consuming my life, every twinge every movement of anything I was frantically googling and just going cuckoo over it!!!! Wishing you all the best though..x

Shanya17 · 26/09/2023 08:46

@lemonyfox Hi! I have only experienced one ectopic pregnancy in January 2022 and I am sorry you had to go through this twice. You are so strong. I just want to say I was so upset after it happened and so sad. I waited 3 months after the removal of my right fallopian tube and my little bean to ttc again and every cycle, every negative test had me crying. I was lucky to get pregnant on the 5th cycle with my little rainbow. I am currently nap trapped with my 4month old rainbow. I also have an almost 3 year old son who is running around in the garden with his grandpa at the moment.
I know it is hard but your rainbow is waiting for you. Best wishes and baby dust x

How long have you been trying for by now?

lemonyfox · 26/09/2023 19:04

Awww thanks @Shanya17

Smileyfrown · 26/09/2023 21:00

Over 5 years, finally fell pregnant.. I didn't know until ectopic pain and ruptured fallopion tube hit me last year..😔 nothing since then.

Louise276 · 27/09/2023 08:50

Some good news from me too. After 2 miscarriages during lockdown and then an ectopic in May 2022 which resulted in my right tube being removed, we had our son Zach at the beginning of this year who will be 9 months next Friday.

Our successful pregnancy took a bit longer to conceive at 9 months which really took a toll on my mental health.

But getting through such a horrible and scary time and persisting is worth it in the end. It also makes you and your partner stronger in the long term I think as you battle through it together.

You will get there in the end. Sending love xx
