@Louise276 oh I'm so sorry to read this update, I know how hard it is to have your hopes dashed so quickly, as I'm sure everyone does in here.

I assumed mine was a chemical because I had positives on 5 frers (obsessed!?) and a cheapie. But it came and went so fast I almost feel embarrassed that I went to get my progesterone and injections. I think they must think I made it up! I'm having a really painful AF now though so I guess it's a comfort that it's coming away quickly. I'd never heard of an ectopic not producing hcg 😬 as if we don't have enough to worry about.

I must say, your Sunday sounded absolutely delightful. I really hope you had a wonderful day with lots of treats for yourself?

@myrainbowjourney thanks for your messages! Came on my period bang on time last night/this AM so I doubt it was a chemical. Trying to be positive that maybe it would have been a bit too much becoming pregnant again only 2 months after my tube removal. Husband was really upset and a bit annoyed with me that I took a cheap test and getting his hopes up. Not the best thing for me to have to hear, but I think it was him just dealing with the disappointment.

How are you doing now? I have also been known to take multiple FRERs, they are clearly more reliable than the cheapy ones!

I think it is something like 1% of ectopic do not produce HCG, so very very very rare. Someone I know had to have an operation to even diagnose it as they could not diagnose it from HCG levels/scan.

@Hlump1980 I felt a relief when I had something tangible that could be done to give us a better chance the next time I was pregnant. Fingers crossed for you that you get a BFP soon! Xx

@Louise276 I'm fine thank you. Just finishing up AF. Would love to think a new opportunity is on the horizon but I have such long cycles, I have a long wait ahead.

I am now just over a week away from the private consultation which will probably bankrupt me, but I need to tick this last box and make sure we aren't missing anything.

The chemical gave me so much hope, but as I think I said it definitely has now made us realise we need to get this extra advice. Feels like a sign at the right time as I was starting to definitely question if we were doing the right thing.

I just want us to have some happy news. It's been such a long 18 months of hope and heartache. I'm ready for my rainbow now 🌈

Thanks for checking in! I’m very well thanks, the pregnancy was in the right place and we saw a flicker of a heartbeat - very emotional!! The nurse did say it was extremely early and the heartbeat appeared a little slow so I’m back in tomorrow to check the growth is progressing as it should - seven weeks tomorrow ! 🌈🙏🏼🙌🏼 fingers crossed for positive results and I’ll be discharged from the clinic too!! Xx

After two years of ttc and one ectopic - This is our finally our rainbow baby!! 🌈❤️🙏🏼🙌🏼 sending all the love and luck to everyone on their journeys hopefully this shows it can - and will happen (even if you have a very low egg reserve!) xxx

So lovely to keep up with everything on the thread.

I'm now nearly 13 weeks and we've found out we are having a boy 💙
Still quite nervous but everything looked great and measuring bang on target at the 12 week scan xx

Just an update from me, I'm now 13 weeks and had the 12 week scan last week. Unfortunately we have been given a 1 in 5 chance of downs and a 1 in 89 of edwards/patau. The stress never seems to end on this journey 😔 we are absolutely devastated and exhausted. Just waiting on a nipt for more accurate results and will then have to do an amnio if we come back high risk again. I feel absolutely cursed to be honest 😭

@DoctorBambino I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. Hopefully you have more clarity after the NIPT/amino.
