Fertility Clinic Appointments and Beyond..

New thread for us to continue our fertility clinic appointment progress...

Some of us are waiting for initial appointments, some are having tests and some are starting treatment!

Im a little worried ladies. I'm ovulating so feeling tender as usual but about an hour or so ago I had sharp pain in the pelvic area which lasted maybe 5-10 mins. When I stood up I felt wet and so went to the bathroom and I have some blood. It's old blood.

Slightly worried now

@PurpleUnicorn01 the pain only lasted maybe 5 mins but then I bled after and still spotting a tiny bit

I called the fertility nurse and told her. She asked me if I'm sure I'm not pregnant. I said I doubt it although I had a surge CD 15 and then another one the last 2 days. She told me to test but I will wait a bit.

She did say ovulation bleeding can also occur. But I've never had that before. I have a scan next Friday luckily

@tillybabs I did actually type you a response last night, but clearly forgot to post it xx I hope you're OK. I quite often get random bleeds, but rarely with any pain, so I was going to suggest contacting the fertility unit, so I'm glad you have done so xx

What CD are you now?

@Kay00 thank you. I'm CD23. I don't think I am pregnant so I am still a little worried. The fertility nurse didn't seem very worried and told me to monitor the bleeding

I started thinking all sorts last night especially where they've seen growths in my uterus.

@Tillybabs I suppose its not impossible that you are pregnant, but it is good that the nurse didn't show too much concern, and you have a scan in a few days time anyway, which should put your mind at rest.

I have had a letter though from the fertility clinic confirming my prescription should be available to collect from the pharmacy - I'm excited even though I have no intention for taking it for another cycle or two Grin

@Juno231 so 5 was the fertlised embryos. I don't think i get a day 3 update unless i call them. How are u doing?

@PurpleUnicorn01 great news that you have 5 fertilised embryos!

I had my pre-starting-ivf scan yesterday so i should start my withdrawal bleed in a couple of days and then we'll start the medications - excited to start, but a bit nervous about the self-injecting! i have low AMH so not sure how many eggs I'm going to produce: fingers crossed there's enough for there to be an embryo at the end of the process!!

@99pctpractice my AMH is 6.1 which is low. It actually doesn't matter. You want good quality over quantity. I was equally as worried.

Thanks @PurpleUnicorn01 that’s good to know as I’m a bit anxious about not having many eggs to collect given the drop off rate from egg collection to fertilisation to blastocyst! My AMH is 2.7 so a bit lower than yours but I have a better antral follicle count so apparently that can be a more positive indicator for success with ivf. They counted 8 follicles on my right ovary today but this was the third scan I have had where they couldn’t really see my left ovary - I’m hoping they’ll be able to find it more easily when I have had the stimulation medication!!
