@becarefuloutthere no not finding out the sex. I think we want the surprise. I think if it wasn't my first we wouldn't be as bothered but I think it'll be exciting not knowing ☺️

Deepest condolences @crazycatlady1981 I know thos is another blow for you, really had everything crossed for you that this would be the 1 🤞 for the frosties! I know that doesn't help right now please jist make sure you take care of yourself in the meantime

@theawkwardblonde @sjhigs I would save yourself some money and stop testing after 6 weeks or so
I was having strong positives 3 weeks after my baby had stopped growing so it wont mean anything after like 6 or 7 weeks (I say this to help save everyone money not to be a negative downer 🙈🙈🙈)

AF is here and she is a mega bitch. The period after a failed ivf is always worse 😫 like adding insult to injury.
So I pretty much had a breakdown this week. I cried for about 48 hours straight. It just wouldn't stop no matter what. I had to tell my manager I wasn't coping and ended up crying down the phone. She took over my meetings and I've been working from home instead (I could have had time off but it's a distraction). My husband came home from work on Tuesday morning (2 hr train from London) to be with me as I couldn't be alone. Hormones have a lot to answer for!

@Narwhal88 I’m so so sorry, sounds like you’ve been through the mill, maybe you’ve been strong for too long and once the flood gates opened that was it, you must have needed it, I think we get used to putting on a brave face for so long that eventually it all escapes. Glad to hear your manager has been sympathetic and you have been given some space working from home.

Oh @Narwhal88 I’m sorry you’re having such a rotten week Glad your manager is helpful and DH was able to come home.

@polejunkie thank you, yes I think that's true. I keep things bottled up and hide my emotions and then when it does come out it's hard to stop it. I'm feeling better today, I just need to stop my brain getting carried away with itself thinking it will never happen and focus on the next steps.
How are you? Have you tested again?

@Narwhal88 that’s exactly it, feel everything that crops us, there are so many emotions, acknowledge each and everyone and then let them pass - formulate plans and next steps and then tackle them one at a time, all progress is good progress, it’s just shitty that you have found yourself in this situation at all tbh, life really is unfair sometimes. I’m glad you feel slightly better now, perhaps it will help you move forward even if it was a very rotten 48 hours x

I’m ok thanks, to nervous and anxious to get excited tbh, took another test and the line was much darker so felt better for that. Just all too aware of how early days it is, but super grateful none the less 🙏🏼 x

@becarefuloutthere I’ve been trying to phone the clinic all morning, but can’t get through! I’ve just emailed them instead to tell them my results and ask if I can stop the progesterone. Hopefully will get a response soon!

@Sjhigs used a first response 6 days early one so that I’d definitely know the answer. I did try a cheapie one out too, but it was equally white!! 🙄

@Narwhal88 I’m so sorry that you’ve had a shit week 💕 it’s totally understandable to feel so emotional after what you’ve been through and totally natural to just let it all out and have a good cry! x
Do you mind me asking how long you had to wait between fresh transfer and frozen? I’m anticipating a couple of months at least especially as our satellite clinic likes to dawdle!!

@polejunkie yes it is really unfair. Just need to focus on trying to find out if there are any other issues and move forward. It's good the line got stronger, it must be hard to get excited, something else infertility takes away from you!

@crazycatlady1981 so I had my bleed after the failed fresh transfer, then another period, then we started FET meds on the 3rd period. It can vary on clinic though and depends when they can fit you in. I could have started the 2nd cycle but they took too long to get back to me.

@Narwhal88 so sorry it didn't work for you 😞 adeno/endo has a lot to answer for! Hope you're feeling a bit better after letting it all out this weekend?

@MIW01 how awful for you! Every time o see a set of twins I cry inside and people must think I'm crazy the way I look at them! Do you think it may be worth going to a urologist about your husband before ivf starts to see what they think? Your work sound like a nightmare

@Annny27 I'm dreading more pregnancy announcements in my family, I've already had a nephew and niece born since we've been trying and I love love love them but the pregnancy parts are hard! They're all boys on my partners side of the family so if his sister gets pregnant and has a girl I will actually break down! Motherofkittens28 wedding is this weekend

@Sjhigs had my guest scan at 6 weeks due to heavy bleeding. Had a private one at 10 weeks, NHS scan at 12. Had another scan this week due to bleeding starting up again. Very scary but all is okay.

@Sjhigs it was stressful tbh as I was in a and e. You can't see much at 6 but we were lucky to see a little bean sized thing with a heartbeat. Be warned it's internal only at 6 weeks. Essentially a long wand put in your vagina with a condom on the end of it 😂
