@clolo yeah, that’s basically what my doctor said to me too. That we got second and third opinions privately and other people wouldn’t do that and get screwed over. I have not been offered progesterone at all, which is frustrating tbh. I feel that I should have been offered clomid too. But I’m hoping we can start ivf sooner rather than later, got to speak to these private docs when we’re back from our holiday.
@MIW01 fingers crossed private helps figure out what’s going on and good that he’d get it repaired. I think we’d get my DH’s small varicocele repaired if our first round had bad fertilisation and development. At least that’s the plan in my mind.
So you haven’t had an AMH test? That seems crazy to me when you’ve got this far with your history. My mother claims to have had an early menopause and my periods have gone haywire the last year (light, short, more cycle variation and I’m hoping it’s stress). But again, no one was interested even when I told them, because my AMH was high.
I really do empathise, I’m also angry with them, and it’s horrible when you get lumped with an nhs CCG or surgery or specialist that’s poor. We’ve had the bad surgery, then the bad gynaecologist and only now do we have a decent GP helping us. I don’t actually trust we’ll even get a private round if I’m honest. They seem thoroughly unbothered by my possible lack of ovulation, for example. My AMH seems to make them think it’s all ok! We’ll push ahead with private and I’m planning a couple of rounds with the Lister before trying mild IVF with Create if that doesn’t work.
@crazycatlady1981 I’ve read the CCG stuff but they don’t seem to define what they mean by round. I get one like you but they say I’m allowed two private before I void the nhs one, and that’s the part I’m interested in since I’m likely to start private soon.
