I’m certain this morning that ov has been and gone and I’m about 3-4 dpo. CM has packed its bags and have my usual post ov scant creamy CM, still had EWCM after my first peak. Still getting the flashing smiley on the opks though which is a bit odd. Guess it’s just a waiting game now.
@Eli707 Sorry to hear about your BFN, fingers crossed AF stays away. I didn’t get a BFP with my last pregnancy until 15dpo and my period was 2 days late. Was testing every other day had nothing before 15dpo ☺️ Possibly a late implanter or ov a couple days after I thought.xx

@SkeletonSkins I haven’t told anyone because I don’t want the added external pressure of people wondering if it’s happened or not (I feel like I have enough of that just from myself!) I do have a couple of friends that live abroad who have recently had babies or are pregnant now so have considered telling them just to have people to talk to (finding this group a lovely outlet for that as well!)

I am currently 10 DPO and am waiting until tomorrow to test. Expecting AF on Sunday, but now having a total mind melt if some symptoms I’m having are PMS or could be early signs of pregnancy? Not sure if anyone’s had the same feeling? My temp has stayed around the same temp after ovulation (dipped around O but increased PO and has stayed the same temp since). I’ve had breast tenderness since around 6DPO and now I have slight spotting and mild cramping. But that could just be signs of AF coming, no?

@OnTheRoadNow I am a bit obsessed with googling TTC information. One of the things I looked into the first month I started TTC was likelihood of conception based on which day I DTD.

Anyway hopefully u can see the pics below? All the graphs are slightly different but the common theme was that in almost all of them the day before ovulation (day of LH surge) showed the best (or one of the best) days to conceive. So in other words... you are still in with a good chance!

That’s so interesting @Sparklingwine1! It makes sense too because the sperm is there waiting I guess? I’d still cover all basis just to be sure, especially as ovulation is 12-48 hours after the surge, it could even be the day of peak.

So I got an almost positive OPK this morning BUT I think it’s possibly a faulty test as the attached pic is after like an hour drying, and it still had those pink marks on. I did another one, like 45 mins later and it came out 0.4 so I’m not holding my breath. Of course it’s possible I peaked overnight and therefore it’s not falling again, or maybe it was 0.4 because I’d had a big drink and literally went 45 mins later, but idk, we’ll see. I’m going to try and hold out this afternoon and then do another one in a few hours. I did have loads of EWCM this morning so hopefully something is happening!

Just done another opk and I’m back to low so think the high one was a faulty one sadly. Maybe it’ll go up again tomorrow.

@Sparklingwine1 those are interesting charts, I’m a little shocked that the chances on the day of ovulation are so low.

@SkeletonSkins your OPKs are looking good. It’s possibly because of the big drink, I experimented with this last month and it definitely has a bigger effect than you think it would, that’s why I started doing mine using SMU and I had much better results.

Someone asked me about Bridgerton but I’ve forgotten who it was now, yes I did watch it, that’s initially what got me thinking about it 😂

@KayL1988 we miss you too! I’ve never heard about being more fertile after coming off contraception, but I have heard that you’re more fertile after a miscarriage?
In all honesty, as much as I tried, I have no idea how any of it works and I’ve given up trying to find out. You read one thing and then 20 minutes later you find something that debunks it. I’ve just come to the conclusion that there are magical creatures living in my reproductive system and they’ll work their magic when they’re good and ready 😂
You know, like everyone knows it’s fairies who run the internet? 😂
They are clearly the only logical explainations.

We need to come up with a code word or something so that when our time comes we can post up in the pregnancy boards and we will all know it’s one of us and we can all reunite in a really ridiculous, over the top, emotional way……..ya know, like in the movies when friends have an argument and don’t speak to each other for like 45 minutes 😂

What is your peak normally like @SkeletonSkins? Do you get one and then the rest are really low? Or is it high for a few days? You could have peaked overnight between 6.30pm yesterday to 10.45am this morning? X

This is my first month using OPKs so I honestly don’t know @HRP1990, guess this month is going to be a bit of a learning curve!

@SkeletonSkins Ah okay! The more you use them the more you’ll get to know your surge.

I’ve attached mine encase it helps.. I usually get a peak and within hours it’s down to low again. Looks like it spans about 12 hours so I test 2/3 times a day to make sure.

That’s really helpful thank you, so it’s possible I peaked overnight. I think that opk looking faulty is just throwing me a bit so I’d have like another strong positive to back it up. We’ll see how things go I guess.

This is totally not on topic but I feel like adding a bit of levity.

Does anyone remember in school where you absolutely HAD to write in joined up hand writing? Did this happen in anyone else’s school, I remember if I didn’t write joined up it would be like it was the end of the world!

Do any of you still write joined now?

Also, pogs ended up being banned in my school, I know! The humble pog!

@Peachycream yassss we weren’t allowed to graduate from a pencil to a pen until we had mastered the art of joined up handwriting. Haven’t written like that since primary school seems like the most arbitrary rule ever in hindsight, added zero value to my life. Never have I walked into a job interview and they’re like ‘yeah but can you write joined up though’ 😂

@SkeletonSkins it might not be faulty. Can't remember where I read this but heard there are different surge level gradual or sudden. So maybe that was your sudden surge?? I find LH levels so confusing!

@Peachycream I know right its all so confusing! Fairies in control of my ovulation makes far more sense than a lot of the things I've read on the internet! 😂

@Emmaldo14 I’m glad it wasn’t just me 😂 no they don’t do they? It’s really pointless. And once you had graduated to one of those odd triangle shaped red pens god forbid if you ever used a pencil again! Unless it was maths…….then you can only use pencil…….why?!

In saying that, I’ve also never gone into a job interview where I’ve been asked for proof of my GCSE’s and considering how super important they were supposed to be and I went straight to work after leaving school, I find this odd 😂

@KayL1988 do you think there’s different fairies for different parts? Like the ovary fairy, the womb fairy or is it just one queen fairy who rules the whole land 😂

I’d like to think it’s a group of separate fairies with Walkie talkies “chhhh ovary fairy here, the egg is on its way! I repeat! The egg is on its way!!”

I knoowwwwwww 🥺 I just never got it? I mean I know it’s toys coming to life, I dunno, I think it always just seemed like a boys movie to me and I never really got into it. It just wasn’t my thing, I was all about the princess movies. Or the animal ones, I was a big Disney fan, I say was. I still am, Pixar meant nothing to me 😂

@Peachycream maybe we could only use pencils in maths because it was hard and you could rub out all your wrong answers 😂
I work In schools now and they still do it they call it getting your pen licence 😂

So thought I’d do another opk this morning and still flashing smiley, just did another this evening and another static smiley. This is my 3rd static smiley in the past 10 days…it’s been 10days since my first static, 4 days since my second and another this evening. Anyone have any insight into what an earth could be going on 3 peaks in one cycle? No EWCM or any other ovulation signs during this static if anything it very much post O cm. This is soooo frustrating!! 😫
