@Emmaldo14 are you temping? It sounds like your body is getting ready to ovulate but not quiet getting there? If you took your temperature in the mornings you’d be able to track the ovulation dip that way xx

@Peachycream YES the handwriting thing 🤣 I remember being one of the last to graduate to a fountain pen, yet I stopped writing joined up the moment I left primary school.

Perhaps that’s why you can never read GP handwriting. Maybe you don’t graduate until you prove you can write joined up?

Glad to come back to this thread for some light relief. I stupidly read a thread on the pregnancy board that turned out to be very TERFy and it’s made me cross.

Also popping in to say hi! 👋 Not much to report here - no symptoms yet really, so it still doesn’t seem real. Had good line progression in my tests though. I’ve done one every day as I’m a POAS addict!

Oh! My secondary school were shit hot on your uniform, if your top button wasn’t done up or your tie wasn’t tied with the right amount of stripes you’d be in shit. It was so important that teachers would literally stop an entire lesson to make sure uniform was correct, or send you outside of the class to miss the lesson until they felt it was right.
Our uniform was more important than our education 😂

@Peachycream if you fancy torturing yourself with it then it’s the one about the positive birthing company. I can’t bring myself to look back at it now cause I keep getting mentioned and it’s all pretty vile. I’d rather stay here and revel in the occasional BFP and flashing smiley face hehe

Hey everyone, I’m a little late to the party but wondered if it would be ok for me to please join?
I’m 36 and ttc my first baby. Been trying 6 months and just had 2 chemical pregnancies. Currently in the midst of my 6th cycle but it all went a little crazy and didn’t ovulate until day 25 (I think)!
Anyway all my friends either got pregnant immediately or have never ttc, and my husband has limited listening skills when I try to discuss the more intricate details of my cycle haha, so would be great to have some people to chat to!

Had to stop reading in the end, I totally agree with what you said. Stuff like this annoys me, I don’t understand why people have to comment on shit that literally has no impact on their lives at all.

People need to realise that the sooner everyone is just nice to each other and learn to co-exist, whether they are male, female, trans, non-binary or whatever else, the sooner the world will be a better place for everyone. You can’t say “I want more rights!” But drag down someone else’s in the process. People don’t go and get the medical help they need because of the wording used and some probably lose their lives over it. Which is heartbreaking. I can’t imagine how it must feel to live in a world where the gender normative language doesn’t fit your perception of yourself.

Our care and language should be person cantered. Not gender cantered.

@HRP1990 not temping at the moment, I’m going to give it a go next month. Have a feeling it’s not going to happen this month, to be honest I’m not even sure I’ll ovulate this month at this rate. Going to trying temping so I can have a better understanding next month. Will dtd tonight and tomorrow though just in case, OH is thrilled at the thought of 2 more nights 🙃
@Peachycream so apparently it’s because it’s the fastest way to note take, as your pen doesn’t leave the page 🤷‍♀️ I’m not sure how much time that saves an 8 year old 😂
In secondary We used to roll our skirts up so far they looked like belts😩. You mean you didn’t keep all your GCSE certificates safe in that burgundy record of achievement book they told us all we would need at every job interview 😂😂

On another note though, the person who said giving birth is the most womanly experience along side breast feeding, does this make women who can’t have kids or can’t breast feed not women? I don’t get this logic 🤔

No, I most certainly did not, I didn’t even have a pretty burgundy folder, I took my certificates, stuffed them in a drawer and literally never saw them again. For all I know they could have come back to me at least 100 times in the form of recycled paper by this point 😂

@KayL1988 Thank you! It was really tough getting my hopes up both times with the chemicals, especially as I didn’t even know they were a thing the first time, but the nurse who did one of the tests said at least it shows things are working, so I’m hoping that’s the case!!
I’m using the clearblue digital ovulation tests and also bbt on fertility friend. Mostly it’s all worked fine until this month, when I’m not sure at all when I ovulated! Got a static smiley on day 23 (weirdly long cycle this month), a cheap opk had turned negative by day 24, but my bbt didn’t rise until day 27, so super confused haha 🤷‍♀️

@glasspaw just reading through that thread, saw a post and thought YES thank you, amazing reply, then realised it was you. The problem is, those posters are so awful, that people who disagree just don’t reply now and so they become an echo chamber and think they’re the majority. I have absolutely no problem in saying woman and pregnant people - addition does not equal erasure like it says.

Thanks for those @HRP1990, that’s helpful. It’s low this evening but higher than it has been in the evening if that makes sense. I’ve also possibly had some sharp pains on my left side which could be ovary pain or could just be me making stuff up in hope 😂 anyway I’ll see what the opk brings tomorrow!

I have a huge final exam tomorrow, to qualify officially in my job, and I’m just more focused on whether I’m ovulating or not 😂

@SkeletonSkins I shouldn’t have bitten…these things never go well. I’ve muted the thread now so I just stop seeing the replies 🤣
