@Mrsspoon3 is there anything you can say you have that can mean you can avoid both things? Like an ear infection so you've been told to avoid water and beer whilst your on antibiotics??

@Mrsspoon3 if it were me, I would just do it all, it’s only because you can test early that you’d even know, I would say that a majority of women wouldn’t even know by that point who drink, smoke, take drugs, go bunjee jumping, sky diving and all other crazy shit and then find out a few weeks later they were pregnant and get along just swimmingly.

If you miss out on all of the stuff you have planned for a possible pregnancy you’re going to regret it for the rest of your life. Your hen do is supposed to be a once in a life time thing. With that knowledge I’d even be inclined to do it all even having a BFP at 12dpo. So many women don’t give up anything during pregnancy and it has no impact and some women do everything by the book and something happens. It’s obviously down to you and whatever makes you feel comfortable, that’s just my 2 cents, for what it’s worth

@Peachycream not sunk in. Think it'll feel different once it feels less riskier. I did have a moment about planning a family trip next year with parents and siblings for next Summer and I was like.... 👀 life will hopefully be very different by then!

It’s gotta be a really surreal feeling right now cause you’re neither here nor there?
Once you start having your midwife appointments and scans and such I’m sure it will all sink in properly.

@Peachycream - time is still on your side whatever you decide to do. I'm 38, 39 in November - maybe a little harder but not impossible (is what I keep telling myself!) 😬

@Sparklingwine1 - I bough preseed too but feeling a little nervous about using it. Don't want to kill the mood totally!! I got the one with the syringes too so might do a practice run on a night we won't be DTD! Have started taking EPO too so might see if that's doing the trick closer to the time - only CD3 so still got a week or so to decide

Ah thanks, that is a great idea @KayL1988 for if I do get a BFP (though I doubt I will!) as wondering what I would say to avoid those things without getting lots of questions!

I totally get what you mean @Peachycream! Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. That’s why I was thinking of testing on the day and doing stuff rather than just avoiding them in case (as I normally don’t drink at all through 2ww just in case) as I feel like ttc is already taking over my life and looks like it will be for forseeable future, so I didn’t want to miss out on parts of my hen do (which as you say is a once in a lifetime event) if I’m not even pregnant. I do feel a bit nervous about it! But as you say lots of women do all sorts of things before they know. And I did get a BFP at 11dpo with both my chemicals, so hopefully it would show up by then one way or the other. Just going back and forth on the issue haha, but good to get thoughts from both sides!

If all goes well I'll have an early scan at 7 weeks.... There is a family event that week, so would be nice to get a bit of reassurance before it, or at least manage my emotions appropriately since I've felt so anxious! Booking Appt is also meant to be wk 8 so would be good to have assurance and info before that!

Ok ladies advice please I have been getting peak on clearblue ov test since Wednesday last week which I really dont understand. Out of curiosity i bought a cheapie pregnancy test and I swear I can see the faintest line that's impossible right? I'm so confused ovulation was supposed to be sunday on app but I've been getting peak since last wednesday I just dont get it

OPKs can pick up HCG so it’s quite possible that a pregnancy test is positive.

@Peachycream is it possible to ovulate a lot earlier than normal though? This has never happened before it is driving me insane

@Nicn19 I have had the same thing this cycle constant peak and strong OPKs particularly since about CD20. Had another peak this morning CD29 and just thought this is waaaaay off. I think I ovulated around CD17/18/19 but really unsure as my OPKs have been all over the place. Took a pregnancy test this morning and I got my BFP (frer was a fairly strong and obvious pink line) think I am around 10/11 DPO. Fingers crossed for you, the strong OPKs May possibly have been a sign but can’t know for sure. I’ve had no symptoms, no change in CM although I have noticed since yesterday it’s a little more watery a couple of times it’s felt like AF has started if that makes sense, no cramping, no IB, no headaches or sore breasts either. Literally no symptoms at all. I imagine they will start over the next few weeks fingers crossed. I’ve never wished so hard for nausea and sore breasts 😂. Did not think for one minute this was my month! Cautiously optimistic 🤞🏻
