I'm 7DPO *@80sPadme* pretty much cycle twins!

I have a swanky family meal planned for a big birthday (not mine) this weekend. Not sure how I'll dodge drinks all night without an excuse but I really feel uncomfortable drinking whilst TTC (even more so towards the end of my cycle). I know loads of women get pregnant and drink until they find out but I still feel weird 🙄 plus since it's a big birthday I would usually have a little toast drink even if I was driving!

Think I'll test early on Friday or Saturday morning which will be 11 or 12 DPO. Probably Saturday.... Least then if they are BFN I can have a glass of fizz at the meal without feeling as guilty.

Such a minefield!

I'm 9 DPO today with 🧙🏼‍♀️ due on Saturday. I am not sure how long I'm going to try and go without testing but I really don't want to test too early this cycle (I spent a fortune on FRERs last month). It's hard though because I know some people get their BFP as early as this... so the temptation and 'what if' is there 😳 sometimes I will google things like '9DPO positive pregnancy test' ... I have no idea why I do that to myself 😂😂**

@Sparklingwine1 It's tough not to cave but I just don't want the disappointment of a bfn lol! Think I'm gonna use today to keep an eye on my body as is my CD30 (static smiley was on CD20). Keeping all crossed that AF doesn't arrive!

You'll have to let me know when you decide to test and keeping my fingers crossed for you too :) have you had many symptoms at all?

Morning all, happy Monday. Another week! Another neg opk for me but I’m only cd14 so trying to be patient, looking at my previous charts I think my body first made an attempt around cd 18/20 so maybe something will happen over the next few days, although who knows if it’ll actually manage it!

Got everything crossed for the ladies testing this week. I guess if you tested early and saw something faint, you’d still be waiting for the next day anyway to see whether it got darker so might as well wait? Saying that I know if I every get to the TWW I’ll be itching to do one, I’m bad enough with OPKs!

Glad it's not just me HRP and sparkling! It's so obviously when it's a big event and you don't drink (and you would usually) I feel like a lot of people draw attention to it too! The other week I just had soft drink and one friend was really sweet but some other people in the group were like 'ohhhh not drinking are we'. Nearly chugged a beer just to shut them up 😅

Phew!

So I'm 7DPO my usual cycle length is 27/28 days (usual luteal is twelve days).

My flo app says I'm due Thursday (lies), my premom says next Monday (also lies), and the fertility monitor says Saturday. I'm going to test on Fri/Sat if it's a BFN then I'll have one glass of fizz on Saturday night and if 🧙‍♀️ doesn't show up over the weekend then I'll test again on Monday next week.

@Aries491 you are aiming for Weds? I guess that makes sense because the say double digit days past ovulation is best!
@Sparklingwine1 Friday testing sounds goos impressed you are holding out! I'll probably aim for Sat.

@KayL1988 yes aiming for weds as then I would be approx 11/12 DPO and hopefully the 🧙‍♀️ stays away! (That applies to us all testing this week!)

Apps are confusing aren't they, my fitbit says due Saturday as is assuming 34 day cycle for whatever reason, flo says due tomorrow as its assuming 30. I average at 30, last month was 29 and previous months around 30-32. 🙃 all fun and games this ttc business!

Totally agree Aries! What is really interesting is that I've used flo to track my periods for about 7 months now (didn't realise how useful that would be!) and it's always been spot on! As soon as your throw baby making things like ovulation in there... it loses its mind!! I'm like a human calculator now merging the apps in my head 🥸

I have fingers and toes crossed we get some BFPs this week! Also on a personal note even if I get a BFN I'd love to see some positive news stories of positives in here. Although I was just thinking that it may be triggering for some 😕

Sorry I’ve been MIA, I saw a post on here yesterday (not on this thread) that really bugged me, and I stayed away just for my own sanity. However, said thread keeps popping up to the top of the list and I can’t escape it soooo…….. that’s that. It’s one of those things that has no reason to bother me so much, it’s just the total moral repugnance of it and total lack of consideration for literally anyone else on the planet and for some reason, where as I would usually blow past it, it’s really stuck in my mind.

With that said. Hello, how are we all?!

I’ve tried to have a brief catch up but a lot has gone on so it seems.

Also, has anyone noticed we are far more active in here during the week when we should probably all be working 😂

@KayL1988 it's mad isn't it. I was using fitbit before which has been bang on since i came off the pill last August however i throw in a positive opk on cd20 and its like 🤯🤯🤯 haha 😄 the positive spin I am taking from this cycle is that if AF comes its more time to track and learn.

Same here i love to see positive stories so fingers crossed to us all but agree it can trigger some people which i would hate to do.

Sorry I've been a bit quiet! My parents came down to spend the weekend with us so all baby-related stuff was very firmly hidden! My mum would be giddy if she knew we were TTC!

I'm 7dpo today, not a single symptom has presented itself but I'm trying to relax more and not spot (for mine and DPs sanity!). I'm testing on Friday as we have 2 family meals this weekend and I'd like to be able to relax and enjoy!

The only thing that has bugged me is I have a slight urine infection... currently drinking those awful salts! It's like my 3rd infection since we started TTC which (according to Dr Google) isn't uncommon... just ruddy typical!

I'm hoping we get some BFPs this week! Seems like there will be quite a few of us POAS 😂

I don’t know @Peachycream I thought it was quite judgy early on, but perhaps the others thought the same thing hence the responses.. not sure now!

What a weird thread, I get the not living together of it is for a specific reason, eg my OH works between our home town and further afield so has a flat there that is shared with colleagues and has his stuff here and stays with me when home as we are buying a house in the next 6 months and getting married next sept.
It's just not financially viable this close to mortgage to rent somewhere else and have the cost of moving when our house build will be completed soon and we will exchange and complete to move in then.
Her situation though is just bizarre, like she is almost using him as a sperm donor ( sorry if that is a bit bitchy).
