TTC 4th baby at 39

Hi girls,

I am so frustrated. I’ve been trying to conceive my fourth since feb. All 28-35 day cycles and no joy: this last cycle has been 45 days so far with me ovulating on cd32. Pregnancy test is negative today 😭 the doctor is not interested but has said he will test to see if I’m peri menopausal. I conceived first month with my other three. This is a new partner but he has a child so I don’t get what the problem is. Sorry I just needed to rant to someone who may understand x

@80sPadme yes that’s a positive way at looking at it, I’m going to try the sperm meets egg plan that @Monicatatie mentioned Oh god don’t be testing yet 🤣🤣

I don’t personally feel too old to have another baby it’s just the reactions of other people that worry me, how stupid is that? I’ll get my blood results tomorrow so I’ve more of an idea what’s happening & hubby is getting his sperm tested on Friday.

@Hopetobeamumof4 how are you feeling? When that happened to me my outcome wasn’t good I’m afraid 😭 they couldn’t see anything on the next scan plus I started cramping & bleeding before it so I knew. But please don’t lose hope just yet as the same thing happened to my sister in law & when she went back they saw the little bean & the previous scan was just too early, her baby is 2 now. It’s just a horrible situation to be in, you can’t focus on anything else & it just doesn’t seem fair. You’ve done everything you can & it’s out of your hands now, I’m praying that this will have a happy ending for you ❤️❤️ Xx

I'm so sorry about your AF @jellybean55 it's so annoying when it's a few days late as well, isn't it? Definitely give the sperm meets egg plan a go, it really makes sense when you look at it. I'm positive it will happen for you, and you're absolutely not too old! Sex week is just around the corner 🤣 hehehe . Sex week and prosecco 🥂

Thank you @jellybean55, honestly you don’t realise how much your support means to me. I don’t really want to tell many people so it’s nice to be able to type on here. I’m so sorry that happened to you. How sad for you. Nature is so cruel sometimes but I am a believer in that things are often for a reason and nature has its way of doing things. I hope your blood tests come back as good, I’m sure they will. Let us know tomorrow? X

@Monicatatie thank you too for your support. It means so so much. I haven’t cried today so progress and just have to wait it out I know. Sex and Prosecco week sounds awesome!!!! My kind of week for sure. Wish I coukd drink so much, jusy to relax a bit. Have one for me x

@Monicatatie haha sex week & Prosecco sounds fabulous. I’m out this weekend & plan on drinking lots of Prosecco & whatever else is on offer 😂

My doctor emailed me to say my bloods are all normal, she didn’t give me any numbers or anything but said she’s put me on the waiting list to see a gynaecologist about possible fertility treatment. She also said the waiting list is long & I could conceive before that comes through so we will see. Find it ridiculous we can’t see our Doctor for face time mom face appointments yet, all has to be done via email. My Doctor is lovely though & had both her children in her mid fourties so I feel like she’s very supportive.

Other news, the neighbour who’s car I bumped knocked on last night to say there is more damage than they realised & have been quoted 800 quid to get it fixed! FML!!! 😭😭🙈 Is it too early for Prosecco? 🤣 xx

@jellybean55 £800!!! Do you think that’s accurate? Can you ask them to get another quote from somewhere else? I hate stuff like this, just a hassle and money for no reason at all. Stupid cars! That’s great your bloods are normal, really good news and it’s positive you’re on the waiting list so that you have the option if you need it. 🥰

My scan is a week today at 3pm. I can’t think of it without feeling anxious. I was so down yesterday thinking the worst as I lost a few pregnancy symptoms but back today wjth agonising boobs, really light headed and weeing lots. Trying so hard to think positively. No bleeding or pains so I’m trying to think that all is ok at the moment. Do you mind me asking if you lost your pregnancy symptoms or did they stay the same? Only difference I have is all other pregnancies I was feeling sick by now and had food aversions. This time I want orange juice and don’t fancy some things but no sickness x

@Hopetobeamumof4 My husband has a friend who owns a garage so he’s going to ask him for a 2nd opinion, so hopefully it won’t be as much as £800

I’m sorry you felt down yesterday, that’s going to happen it’s only natural. I don’t mind you asking my anything at all. I think I lost my symptoms but the only symptom I had was the sore boobs. I remember because I got myself in a right state because they didn’t feel sore anymore & I just knew. I remember googling the shit out of everything & looking on forums but everyone is different & has different experiences. All pregnancy’s are different too so try not to read too much in not feeling sick etc. It’s easier said than done though isn’t it? How’s your Partner being with all this? My husband as much as I love him was useless when I was in this situation, his positivity & ‘what will be will be’ really pissed me off, I felt guilty for crying & feeling down.

It’s gonna be a long tough week for you but at least you will know one way or another next week & deal with it then. Whatever the outcome you will get through this. Here if you need to chat ❤️❤️ Xx

I just did a clearblue dates test and it came up with 3+. I have no idea if it would anyway If I’ve had a missed miscarriage but I’m taking it as a good sign. Alongside the fact I just came over all faint. My partner is being really supportive which is lovely. He’s quite a positive person though and I’m not so we differ there.

Definitely get that second quote on the car from your husbands friend! So annoying spending money like that x

@Hopetobeamumof4 7 weeks is so early for a scan, maybe it's a little baby 😊. Counting down the days for you to see that little one is just fine.

Me...well I'm sitting on a beach, watching my dp fish at sunset, I have a wine in my hand...Currently lh is on the rise and although I was so tempted to try this month, we've decided to be sensible (hence the wine haha) Cheers to lots of positives soon though 🥂

I have no idea how many dpo I am because I didnt do the opk properly. I did them for a couple of days and stopped, dont think I even captured a surge. So I'll just wait and see. I had a longer cycle last month so I'm expecting a shorter one this month (I made up that rule lol) so I'm due middle of next week. I'm away on holiday so it will keep my mind off things, i hope 🤣

Just on our way home now from holiday. I'm 9dpo and it's taking everything to not grab a test from the services and see.

Totally feel the hands being full with 3....plus I go back to full time work as of October. Thinking of car space, room space and complete lack of holidays (although we are used to this since the pandemic)! I think I'm totally mad BUT the fact that I'm obsessing about this means I'm already committed haha!I had my second dose last month and AF was a good 2 weeks late this month and I'm sad to say I was a poas addict again, even though I knew it was very unlikely I would get a bfp....
I'm still bf my 5 month old atm but might have to convince dh to at least start trying once AF leaves as it might take a while this time round!
Have any of you found that the Covid vaccination has affected your cycles at all? Anyone else still BF and trying to conceive? Xx

Girls this scan date coming round is taking forever! I mean 8 days so far and it feel about 8 months: I still have huge really sore boobs, lightheaded but not massively. Weeing more. No sickness and no food aversion which I had with all of my last three. Occasional spotting but only after sex. Sorry tmi: I really don’t know what to think. Do you think all will be well on Tuesday or not? Driving myself mad googling. It’s awful. I will never ever have an early scan like that again x

@Hopetobeamumof4 I'm so sorry you're feeling very anxious, I'd totally be the same. It could really be that the scan was too early to see anything. When I had an early scan with my last, I saw on google people saying not to go too early for that reason. I think i went at 8 or 9 weeks in the end. Baby looked like a little hamster. Sore boobs is a good sign, and maybe you will be lucky and wont have any sickness with this one. I had zero sickness with my first, it can really vary from one pregnancy to the next. I wouldn't worry about the spotting if it's only after sex. I'm so sorry you're having to go through this, just a few more days to wait, hang in there x
