TTC 4th baby at 39

Hi girls,

I am so frustrated. I’ve been trying to conceive my fourth since feb. All 28-35 day cycles and no joy: this last cycle has been 45 days so far with me ovulating on cd32. Pregnancy test is negative today 😭 the doctor is not interested but has said he will test to see if I’m peri menopausal. I conceived first month with my other three. This is a new partner but he has a child so I don’t get what the problem is. Sorry I just needed to rant to someone who may understand x

@80sPadme Hi, it’s awful seeing the negative test or when your period arrives early to dash your hopes. Hopefully you will get that BFP soon x

I’ve had a horrible day, Neighbour knocked on at ours at 6am to tell me my car had rolled down the street & crashed into another car 😭🙈 I mustn’t of put the handbrake on properly.

When I say crashed I mean bumped 😂 x

I'm ttc #4 I'm 34 and with my others been pregnant without even thinking about tracking. I had my coil out in March and no luck upto now. I ovulate yesterday and been using ovulation tests this month so we will see what happens 😂.

Sorry guys, everything is going crazy here. Too much to do! Bfn on FRER on Sunday eve and bfn this am on IC, 11dpo. May not be out but we probably are. We're going to give things a break for a month or two to settle me into my new job and get our tests done. Ttc isn't an easy journey, we're easing off of the pressure pedal! X

@Sunnytimes21 I think all this has happened for a reason. I think it’s a good plan to settle into the new job and start trying again soon. It will happen for you I jusy know it x

AF is bleddy horrendous this month, I've been having really short and some anovulatory cycles so hopefully this is the start of my body sorting itself out.
Years of the injection/ pill/ implant has really messed me up.

How long have you been off contraception? Hopefully your body will adjust soon and your cycle will become more regular. How old is your youngest child? I also freaked out when I didnt conceive my third child straight away, but looking back I realise I was too impatient. I started thinking I was too old etc but I think I just got very lucky the first two times when I conceived straight away, and expected the same to happen again.

How are you getting on @jellybean55? Have you been testing yet? So sorry to read about your car! What happened? Did you forget the handbreak? I hope you're all okay and that you wont have too much repairs to your car.

@Hopetobeamumof4 have you told your other children yet about the baby news? Are you going to have an early scan or just wait for the 12 week one?

Nothing much to report on my end. I was also thinking of postponing ttc by a couple of month but DH wants to crack on straight away. It's only day 0 of summer break and I'm already on the wine! Not great for ttc really 🤣 it's going to be a long summer hahahah I guess I'll be in a different mind set once my AF is over

@Monicatatie I would be cracking on with ttc if it weren't for the job. Best wait a month or two though out of decency (although it still feels wrong). I'm sad about stopping but hopefully the tests will come back ok and we can resume in September. Meanwhile...the wine will be in full flow over the summer hols

Had my last depot in July 2020, had a copper coil in august which rejected, had marena coil in Oct which also rejected.
We waited till dec to start 'trying' I guess but really that meant just not using condoms anymore. In March I started using opks. So 7 months of being off contraception, I've got a call with doctor on Friday

Hi ladies, sorry I’ve been quiet, had a lot going on with work at the minute, won’t bore you with the details.

My car’s bumper is pretty bashed up but the neighbours car only had a few scratches & luckily she was fine & told me not to worry about it. Will be double & triple checking my handbrake is fully locked in future 🙈

@Monicatatie I had my blood tests on Tuesday so results should be back next week. I bloody POAS yesterday didn’t I? 🙈 like a crazy woman, obviously negative, period isn’t due till another week. Made me laugh with your wine comment on day 0 of the holidays 🤣🤣

@Sunnytimes21 congratulations on the job, I guess the positive of having a break from TTC is being able to indulge in the vino 😂

@jellybean55 he’s so so excited. He keeps kissing my belly (which after three previous sections is around the 6 months pregnant size now) 😂

@Monicatatie I haven’t told my children yet. I’m going to wait for a scan first. I’ve booked a private one for 8 weeks. I am so nervous but so excited. I can’t believe it’s really happening x

@jellybean55 I think we're all crazy here when it comes down to poas 🤣 how many dpos are you? How did the meal go with your in laws? Are you staying away from alcohol?

@Monicatatie do you have plans for the summer hols? Can’t be any harder surely to get through 6 weeks of school holidays compared to lock down? I’m fed up with this heat though, so hot! 2 weeks tomorrow until my scan. I’ll be 8 weeks all being well. I have to keep saying ‘all being well’ as I don’t want to jinx it. It’s tiring worrying. I really hope I could just have a look to see if everything is ok in there x

Doctor said all my bloods are within normal range, progesterone on the lower end but still normal, prolactin is high, but I've not long finished breastfeeding.
She's said to just carry on as we are- ditch the stressful temping and charting and just maybe do opks. Then have sex every other day leading up to pos opk and again that day and next day if possible.

How is everyone? I'm CD5, the witch has just left and I'm ready to get baby dancing!
I do actually find (maybe tmi) that I get an increased sex drive the week leading up to ov anyway so the extra sex is actually a huge bonus. 😬😬

Aww @Hopetobeamumof4 I totally get you, I was the same when I was expecting baby 3 and I had 2 early scans before the official 12 week one because I was so worried. I'm sure everything is okay though, it's normal to worry to a certain extent. Just 2 more weeks and you'll be able to get some reassurance. Summer break is a breeze compared to lockdown. At least we dont have to homeschool. What a nightmare that was lol a thing of the past now hopefully. We'll be away for a couple of weeks, and just relaxing and keeping the kids happy and busy for the rest. What about yourself?

@80sPadme that's good news about the blood results. Maybe it's taking a bit longer because you've just finished breastfeeding. I stopped in march and feel like my cycles are still readjusting. I will have to use opks to pinpoint when I'm ovulating. I'm on cd8 but still in two minds, not sure I want to ttc this cycle. My baby is sleeping terribly at the moment, it's putting me off. I know what you mean about increased sex drive before ovulation because I'm the same 🙈🤣

Girls. I’ve just had some pink spotting after sex. Never happened before and I’m properly panicking. Do you think that’s a really bad sign? 😓 x

How are you doing now @Hopetobeamumof4 ? It's never happened to me but I've seen it mentioned a lot of mumsnet before, so it seems like it's quite common. Have you been assigned a midwife yet? If you're still spotting and worried, maybe ring her or a gp? I'm sure you will be fine but I understand your worry xx

Thanks @Monicatatie I called the midwife and she said it’s really normal. It’s stopped now so I’m really relieved. X

CD7 here and this is the sex week!! Due to ov on CD11 ish ( it varies from 10th- 12th) so roughly 3-5 days till ov so it's time to start dancing. DP won't know what's hit him this week. We go on holiday on Friday so I'm feeling good about this month anyway.

@Hopetobeamumof4 Hope you are ok & the midwife has reassured you about the spotting. Every single thing is a worry isn’t it before that 12 week mark. I understand about not telling your other kids yet too, the time will soon be here to tell them. 😘

@Monicatatie How’s things with you? My period is due on Wednesday & ive been having sore boobs & mild cramping so I don’t think this is my month 😭so annoying how sore boobs happen with both pregnancy & periods. Family party was ok & no I didn’t steer clear of alcohol, was on the Prosecco 🙈🤣

My app says I'm ovulating this weekend. I'm quite a late ovulator which is kind of annoying because i'm already on CD11 .
I dont feel like using opks this month though, will dtd when I feel like it or go by cm.
