Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 6

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@Juno231 this is the time scales they give at Leeds so might not be too long!

Fx your RHR picks up and you have a good cycle and you don’t need to worry about 18 weeks! 😊

@LS2020 thank you! And gosh that does look quick! Yes I think the funding is part of the pathway but she seemed to think it could take a month for me to even get the docs to apply for it - so that would be on top of the 18 weeks.

Either way I just got a job offer and have a 3 months notice period so 18-22 weeks would be really good now 😅

As for my rhr - I'm 8dpo and it keeps dropping - down to 67 now so not looking good for this cycle either.

@Juno231 ugh what a pain but maybe as you say it’s a good thing to have a bit of wait time if you have a new job! That’s exciting :)
Annoying to need the time off straight when you start a new role but timing is never perfect.
I’m starting a new role at my job in august but my boss already knows as I’ll have same line manager so I don’t feel as concerned about taking time off.
Tbf the wait has been good for me to try and lose some weight. My BMI was 29 when they last weighed me and they stop it if I’m above 30 so I’m 1kg down this week.. about 6 more to go 😫

LS2020 · 25/06/2021 08:33

How is everyone getting on?

2dpo and having a mini rise which is a little odd but probs just means I’m out already 😂
Had the funniest dream I’d slept with Tom Hiddleston (watching Loki at the moment) and panicked because it was my ovulation date and then I fell pregnant and didn’t know who the dad was (not that I panicked about any guilt on my OH 😂)

Juno231 · 25/06/2021 09:11

@ls2020 hahaha love that dream! Does your rhr not go up after ovulation normally?

OP posts:
LS2020 · 25/06/2021 10:01

@Juno231 it was a good dream, I snoozed my alarm to have 10 mins more of it 😂
It does but normally from 7dpo, usually has a mini jump and then stays flat (ie the first bit of my graph). Way too early to see yet, might flatten tomorrow. How are you getting on?

EveryMumDay · 25/06/2021 11:00

Hey ladies.

That's a funny dream Grin

Started cycle 10 today morning. Noticed my rhr drop on 10 dpo, so knew I was out :( went for the blood test today referral from NHS fertility and 6 July got the x-ray HSG, so no TTC this July as it falls on fertile week.

Cross fingers for us all.

Juno231 · 25/06/2021 11:34

@EveryMumDay Sorry cycle 10 showed up but well done on getting your HSG booked in. It'll be a nice change to not TTC for once - it's such a mental load otherwise.

@LS2020 ah gotcha. you might just have an elevated heart rate post racy dreams lol! I'm good, AF was supposed to show yesterday but hasn't so I'm on knicker watch. Definitely not pregnant though so don't get excited!

LS2020 · 25/06/2021 16:31

@EveryMumDay I agree, the month I had my Hycosy was 4 days after I was due to O and it was nice to know I had the month off guilt free, helps you relax a bit.

@Juno231 haha maybe I need more Tom in my life to keep the heart rate up! Ah frustrating, hope you’re treating yourself this weekend! I watched my clinics IVF videos on Wednesday and was sat telling my uterus ‘see if you don’t do your job, this is what I’m going to have to do to you’ and see if they learn, maybe give it a go 😂

EveryMumDay · 25/06/2021 17:19

@LS2020 thank you. The x-ray will be on cd12 for me and I usually get peak on either cd12-14. Not sure, if I could try or completely a no no this month. Very true, a month off would be like a holiday for me Grin congratulations on your new job :)

@Juno231 thank you Smile yes, finally got it booked and NHS are trying to get things in place. A little anxious about it all but just want it to come quickly so I get some answers.

LS2020 · 25/06/2021 17:48

@EveryMumDay yeah you deffo can! Someone I know on another thread had her checks, could see that the ovary was ready to release on her scan so DTD for next 48 hours like crazy and ended up pregnant. They showed me which side I’d ovulated out of and stuff on mine so it might give you a good indication of if you still have a chance. I had the Hycosy which had a dye and I must admit not sure we DTD for a little while after because it was uncomfortable but Tbf if had it been ovulating time probably would have give it a go!

EveryMumDay · 25/06/2021 17:56

@LS2020 Thank you for the information. Its very useful. I hope I ovulate after cd12 as on the day of x-ray HSG (before and after) not allowed any sexual activities. I'll definitely try to find the thread you are talking about too.

LS2020 · 03/07/2021 21:00

@EveryMumDay hope it goes well! They’ll deffo show you where you are when you go for your scan so I wouldn’t worry until they tell you either way 😊 on mine they said ‘I’d just ovulated’ but it was a couple of days past so found an odd comment and wish I’d got them to clarify as now I wonder if I’ve worked from wrong dates!

Nurses consultation went well for IVF and I start on the 4th August 👏🏻

LS2020 · 03/07/2021 21:01

I’m about 9dpo and I’m a bit concerned with what’s going to happen with my RHR this month as normally it drops off massively for AF but where’s it going to go?! 🤦‍♀️

LS2020 · 03/07/2021 21:02

Comparative day last cycle was that little hill before the big one before AF started :/

Juno231 · 03/07/2021 21:18

@LS2020 that's odd!! Any chance you havent ovulated this time? Jab or something delaying it?

OP posts:
EveryMumDay · 03/07/2021 22:16

@LS2020 thank you and I hope everything goes well for you too. Its just waiting game to go through the loops I guess but least something is happening.

I'm on CD 9 today and my rhr has jumped from yesterday to today by 4bpm! I'll start testing for ovulation tomorrow morning.

Your chart did you do something different? Like what Juno said did you ovulate this month?

LS2020 · 04/07/2021 08:43

@Juno231 @EveryMumDay I don’t bother using OPKs etc anymore but the mini jump it’s exactly when I was due to and that bits very consistent with previously O days so who knows?! Must not have! Back up to 54 today so will see. Mostly hope it’s not a late start on period as that will push my IVF back and I’ll be fuming 😂

EveryMumDay · 04/07/2021 09:11

@LS2020 got everything crossed for you. Its looking positive.

LS2020 · 07/07/2021 15:44

CD1 for me and it never rose so definitely did not ovulate last month! I am massively dieting ahead of IVF so maybe something to do with that. In good news I am down a half stone and this is now my last period before injections start 😬

EveryMumDay · 07/07/2021 22:10

@LS2020 sorry to hear af arrived :( oh whoa congrats on losing half a stone. That's brilliant news :) Hope it all goes well for you.

mumof23188 · 11/07/2021 10:23

@LS2020 hi ☺️. Sorry for CD1. Fantastic news on the weight loss. When is everything getting started for you? Hope you are well 🥰

GlassLily · 11/07/2021 12:20

@LS2020 wow congrats on half a stone! Amazing work. Definitely worth missing one cycle for, sounds like you will be ship shape for the IVF!

LS2020 · 12/07/2021 19:40

Thanks @EveryMumDay how are you doing?

Hi @mumof23188 @GlassLily how are you both getting on? Thanks! Injections start 4th august so not too long. Feeling ages but sure will come quick.

EveryMumDay · 12/07/2021 20:01

Hey @LS2020,

I'm ok now. Last week Monday I went for my first private fertility appointment and got my transvaginal ultrasound scan with getting my blood test results to measure the folicles and how many there are. Seems I have less folicles but it's workable so consultant suggested injections assisted for 2 months and then think about IVF. If I want IVF she said to drop a few kgs which is normal to do I guess.

I wish the NHS would have done this blood test as gives more answers in what is happening and the transvaginal confirmed it too. Then last week Tuesday I had the HSG through NHS as my private consultant said go get the test done so least we know a little bit more information. I'm not getting the HSG results until end of August, so I'm glad that I'll be getting my first injection next month. Getting somewhere than nowhere. My heart rate has climbed up since yesterday as I'm now 5 days after getting my peak last week Wednesday.

That's brilliant news for injections. Definitely, not far to go. It's just round the corner. Exciting :)
