Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 6

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

So what do you think of this one? Im 11 dpo, still bfn. Had some light pink spotting 2 days ago.
(one pic over this month, and one over the past three month)

@Selmamalte an 11dpo bfn is discouraging but if I was purely looking at the rhr I'd be pretty excited I think! How confident are you that your OD is correct?

@LS2020 ah congratulations!! Did everything go okay with the birth? Are you healing well?

28 weeks here and my RHR is still so high. To put it into perspective, my FP RHR would be in the low 60s and nowadays I'm more like low to mid 80s. Madness!

@Juno231 pretty sure when I ovulated. Suspect I had implantation bleeding two days ago, only a little pink discharge. How soon after that can you get bfp?

LarasMama · 20/05/2022 21:45

Hi ladies, not sure if anyone remembers me, but I'm finally back and truly ready to ttc #2. It's been quite challenging with a toddler but now she's three and I feel more prepared.

Unfortunately my cycles are playing tricks on me. Last cycle I suspect was an unovulatory cycle as it only lastes 14 days and instead of OV i welcomed AF 😞

This cycle doesn't seem to be more promising at all. CD12 currently.

I had loads of ewcm starting as early as CD6 up until CD11, now it's dried up. I did opks 3-4 times a day, held my pee for a minimum of 3 hours and never got close to a positive. (see picture)

Now I'm starting to feel crampy, not ov pains but af type pains. I usually ov around cd10-13.

My RHR doesn't give much away either. It's pretty much plateaued.

I suspect that the myo insositol I started in Mid-January has caused some sort of hormonal imbalance as I have no pcos and only took it for egg quality. Stopped it 2 weeks ago.

I guess I'm just here looking for support. Feeling quite freaked out that this turns into another aovulatory cycle.

Could I have misses my surge? I've never missed it as it's usually 1 day long.

See pics Mon, 9th May was cd1, the first high RHR was due to food poisoning (could that have messed up my cycle too?)

Update: I ovulated late (for me anyway) on CD15. Started 200 mg progesterone on 3dpo. Today I’m 5 dpo. My RHR now has a steady rise, which I hardly evet get in my luteal phase. I have no symptoms yet. But fingers crossed. 🙏🏻
Dtd 2-O, 1-O, missed O day (O was in the eve), so dtd the morning after for good measure.

Is this rise what’s supposed to happen in the LP? Guess I really had issues with progesterone 🤷🏻‍♀️

BFP at 11 DPO. Now 15 DPO. My line is getting stronger 🙏🏻

Congrats @LarasMama!!

According to FF I'm 7dpo, I thought I ovulated on CD 12 or 13 but using OPKs, I never even got a peak and was only high CD 14 and 15.

Massive drop this morning and some af-like cramping so not very hopeful!

Turns out I put the wrong temp in this morning. Still a big drop but not as big

Juno231 · 08/06/2022 11:51

@Gizzy93 I'm tempted to say you could be just 5dpo today based on your temps. They're looking good though so fingers crossed!

@LarasMama omg that didn't take long!! Congratulations!

Yeah I'm thinking that too. Oh well, guess we'll see what happens! @Juno231

LarasMama · 09/06/2022 06:16

@Juno231 I am quite surprised myself. It’s still so early, that I hope all goes well. Had my bloods taken yesterday and will go again tomorrow. At age 40 i’m considered high risk.

How are you? How far along are you now?

@LarasMama well your BPM chart is beautiful in the mean time! I'm doing well! 31 weeks today, can't believe I have made it this far 🥰

LarasMama · 09/06/2022 08:20

@Juno231 Wow, 31 weeks! How exciting. I’m so happy for you! Boy or girl?

Honestly, whenever my RHR drops a bit, I get worried. But I just go back to my chart when I was pregnant with Lara and so far it all coincides 🙏🏻😇

mumof23188 · 09/06/2022 11:14

Oh my gosh huge congratulations @LarasMama 😍

LarasMama · 09/06/2022 12:09

Thank you @mumof23188 ❤️🙏🏻

LS2020 · 14/06/2022 17:33

Congratulations @LarasMama ❤️

@Juno231 31 weeks already?! Hope your pregnancy is going well x

my little one is nearly 6 weeks old and can’t believe how time is flying - hope you’re all doing well!

LarasMama · 14/06/2022 17:43

Wow! 6 weeks! How exciting. 😍
I have my first scan on Friday. Hopefully I‘ll get to hear a heartbeat. I should be 6ish/7 weeks then.

Also I couldn’t help myself and test again 😍

And what do you think of my RHR. Seems to hahe leveled out a bit. Will probably only increase towards the 2nd trimester as it did with DD

@LarasMama your chart is looking great and congrats on the 3+! A lot of us had dropping bpm around the 7 week mark so remember not to panic if your RHR starts dropping.

As a random piece of RHR info - mine is at 90 nowadays! Was in the lower 60s when I wasn't pregnant so it's quite a change.

@LS2020 yes 32 tomorrow even! Can't wait to meet her. I can't believe yours is 6 weeks old already! How are you coping? Has recovery been okay?

LarasMama · 17/06/2022 13:50

@Juno231 Thank you, dear. I think I’m now 5w4d. Had a scan today, but we couldn’t see the baby or the heartbeat. I know it’s early and my gyno wasn’t too concerned. But somehow I am. When did you first see/hear baby?

90 - wow! I think mine was around 75 in my 3rd trimester last time. This pregnancy seems to be quite similar in terms of RHR at the moment. No drop yet.

LarasMama · 17/06/2022 13:53

Here’s the scan

LS2020 · 23/06/2022 11:30

@Juno231 it's really not long now! Enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy, you weirdly miss it when baby is here!

We have good and bad days, it’s indescribable how full on it all is and we feel incredibly lucky because he’s such a “good” baby and this feels hard enough. Hes been a clingy one this week and with my OH at work, it’s deffo felt tougher but he’s also responsive smiling and that has made this week worth it!
Recovery was good, I was horribly neglectful of my needs the first month he was born - be selfish is the best tip I could give you, but I fortunately faired quite well despite that. Had an episiotomy and 2nd degree tear which all seems to have healed but the expert midwives sets were amazing, along with disposable undies!!

best of luck for your labour ❤️

Juno231 · 23/06/2022 12:46

@LarasMama tbh I wouldn't have booked a scan that early as it usually can't show much and causes more worries than reassurance! I think I'd wait until at least 7 weeks just to make sure - my first one was at 8 weeks though as xmas got in the way from memory.

@ls2020 yes I'm in that awkward final stage where time drags and I can't decide whether I want it all over with so I can see my baby or just enjoy the freedom I have left! Amazing that you have healed well and although it sounds tough it also sounds like you and baby are coping well which is great <3 So pleased for you!

Aw just seen this thread is still going 😀 @Juno231 I'm so pleased to see you're so pregnant!!
and congratulations @LarasMama and @LS2020
I'm just starting to try for no 2 after having my daughter in May 2021 - think I'm 3dpo but nothing of note on my rhr yet

Kona84 · 24/06/2022 10:19

Oh wow @LarasMama congratulations.

6 weeks already @LS2020 i remember starting to feel a little bit normal around that time- like coming though the hormonal haze and getting a bit more sleep.
still tough though and always questioning if what I was doing was right.

my little girl is 8 months now- she has two bottom teeth and one top.
she is trying to crawl and can sit her self up from her belly.
she is on the go all day.

at 5 months she started waking up hourly at 7 months I was just about surviving with the hourly wakes and was looking for causes- ended up at a tongue tie clinic having private consultation as it was the only thing that made sense.
she always had a shallow latch- lots of wind and pain when feeding. But it improved with age and laid back feeding.
anyway she had a tongue tie- we had it released on the 11th June and after a few days she started sleeping 4hr stretches again- I feel like a new woman.
im glad I trusted my instincts that something wasn’t right.

Kona84 · 24/06/2022 10:20

I think if we were to have a second baby I would be waiting until my daughter is 2.5/ 3 to start trying this would mean I would be 40/41 so @LarasMama its good to know it’s worked out for you
