Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 6

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@Juno231 how are you feeling today? How’s RHR? I’m dreading feeling poorly from the jab.

@LS2020 I’m good thank you lovely, how are you? I’m 25 weeks today. How was your spa weekend? Ah wow, not long to wait. Would be great to get a referral 🤞🤞.

@justwant2beamum congratulations on the new job ☺️

@GlassLily how are you feeling?

Juno231 · 27/05/2021 11:13

@LS2020 @mumof23188 ha well I spoke too soon yday and the vaccine hit me after 24h! Had the jab at 4pm on Tuesday and 4pm yesterday I started getting really cold and shivery... Ended up getting completely wipe last evening/all night with (mild - so preggo ladies don't worry, it was literally 37.6 at its peak) fever, sweats, chills etc. Wasn't too terrible though and I woke up 100% recovered this morning.

RHR and temp are up again today but that's def the jab talking! Will post pics in a sec.

Marked ovulation on the fitbit chart. Can't help but be a bit hopeful anyway as it's a gradual rise and not the drastic increase I was expecting from the jab 🤷‍♀️

@mumof23188 I can’t believe you’re 25 weeks where is the time going!! I’m doing well thanks, it was so peaceful and my RHR has been nice and flat and calm for O week. Much less stressed since coming around for IVF too. Work is a bit much at the moment but I guess it’s keeping me busy.

@Juno231 it’s weird the reaction people are having but glad you’re feeling better already!
Those are some really beautiful lines, I really hope this is your month ❤️

Kona84 · 27/05/2021 20:57

Congratulations @GlassLily
I have my fingers crossed for you.
The bloat for me was quite bad in the beginning I couldn’t button my jeans and was living in leggings.

I have attached my chart which shows my HR from beginning of March so 7 weeks onwards.
You can see how erratic it is up and down with some big drops too.

I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday and my symptoms so far have been nasal congestion (worse on the mornings) no nausea or sickness.
Fatigue, and a weekly hormone headache.

Thanks @Kona84, I'm a little less bloated now but still pretty huge.

@mumof23188 I'm feeling ok thanks, very nervous to get beyond AF time over the next few days. Trying to keep positive. But my line progression looks good, and my RHR is up again. Pics attached!

Thanks for the chart @Kona84, I'm hoping I will need this in a few weeks for reassurance!

NJOBX · 28/05/2021 08:12

@GlassLily
Both your chart and your line progression both look really good!!! Very, very promising ☺️

Can I ask whether anyone else’s symptoms just randomly got a lot lighter over night at 8 weeks? I’m really worried because I have woken up this morning and my sickness hasn’t been half as bad and my chart has really concerned me these last few days as a few of you already know and have told me it’ll all be okay 🙈... but yes, I am now worrying because my symptoms seem to have pretty much gone over night apart from headache!

@NJOBX I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about but I'll let the pregnant ladies speak about symptoms with you xx

10DPO today and RHR has jumped to 75 but I did also go out for work drinks last night ha so god knows. However, I got up for a wee at 3am and had lots of pink and red blood and a few little clots. Still spotting this morning. Hoping it's a fluke and not AF showing up early...

@Juno231 I have called my midwife and she said give it a few days and if there’s no bleeding or pains I should be okay 🤞🏼

Well that sounds promising for 10DPO! Surely it would be way too early for AF to show??

Juno231 · 28/05/2021 10:35

@NJOBX I'm glad you had a midwife to call and who sounds like she's friendly enough!

You'd think it would be too early for AF but I can't help but wonder if the laparoscopy I had last cycle has made things go a bit wonky. I'll test tomorrow and see if anything is going on.

OP posts:
NJOBX · 28/05/2021 10:42

@Juno231 Yeah, she is nice and I’m seeing her for my bloods next Tuesday so I’m not calling her again, I don’t want to be annoying her ringing her all the time haha.

Oh that’s a good point! There’s so many things that could be affected isn’t there like the jab and the laparoscopy but your RHR has stayed up even before the jab so I still have my fingers crossed for you! Do you usually start AF with spotting or would that be unusual for you? X

Juno231 · 28/05/2021 11:06

@NJOBX ha do call her - it's her job and there will be lots of far crazier ladies out there bugging her 😁

I don't think I ever spot before AF! Attached my rhr - let's see what happens this weekend.

@Juno231
I suppose if it puts my mind at ease I might as well haha.

Well things are looking very positive then! They say spotting can last up to 3 days for implantation as well so give it a few more days, that chart has a beautiful rise 🤞🏼

GlassLily · 28/05/2021 11:47

Anyone got any positive stories after having cramps at 13DPO? They aren't really severe or anything but I have had cramps a few times today and I'm really worried it's all going wrong...

GlassLily · 28/05/2021 11:48

With my CPs I had cramps at this point but more severe, I'm worried this is the beginning of the same thing 😞

NJOBX · 28/05/2021 12:01

@GlassLily
I had all kinds of weird cramps and niggles after I got my BFP! I think it’s down to the ligaments and uterus stretching 😊x

GlassLily · 28/05/2021 12:05

@NJOBX this early on? 13DPO?

Alicespring · 28/05/2021 12:26

@NJOBX
my symptoms did the same....kept touching my boots to see if they were still sore, then the sickness hit me like a train. Apparently it can be because of a surge on hormones then your body gets used to it and it peaks and troughs. As long as there are no painful cramps and bleeding it should be all good!

@GlassLily I had that at the start too.....and that was why I thought I wasn't pregnant but turns out I was and was just the usual early pregnancy symptoms. Again if they don't get too painful or bleed you should be OK. Its so nerve wracking and I feel for you, i still get very anxious when I feel cramps or when I go to the toilet incase there is blood!

Alicespring · 28/05/2021 12:28

@GlassLily

And just to say even if you do spot or bleed it's not the end. I had a bleed at 6 weeks and turned out it was just implantation bleeding. But if anything like that happens phone EPU in my experience they have been great

NJOBX · 28/05/2021 12:29

@Alicespring
Thank you for the reassurance ☺️ I have had some bouts of sickness again today but just not as bad. I hope it is just my body getting used to it all because I was starting to think how long does this go on for 😂

@GlassLily
Yes! It was definitely that early on because I got my BFP at 9DPO and a few days later it started ☺️X

GlassLily · 28/05/2021 12:35

Thank you so much @Alicespring and @NJOBX I'm going to try and relax. @njobx I'm glad you said that about starting at a similar time.... Been googling and most people have cramps all the way from ovulation, or much later, and I was getting upset that mine just suddenly started arrive AF time. But no reason to think there's anything wrong at this stage. I will just rest and hope 🤞🏻🤞🏻

NJOBX · 28/05/2021 12:41

@GlassLily

No honestly don’t worry as cranking at this stage is completely normal! Mine felt like period cramps which worried me but it was fine ☺️

NJOBX · 28/05/2021 12:41

@GlassLily

Cramping* not cranking haha, sorry!

justwant2beamum · 28/05/2021 21:09

@GlassLily when I got BFP I thought i was getting period as had cramps so I'd say normal at 13dpo x
Don't want to upset anyone but I had hg and was on every tablet under the sun still throwing up about 20 times a day and one weekend it just stopped I didn't feel sick any more and I went for a private scan and had had a missed miscarriage so I'd lost it the 2 weeks before so I'd been sick for 2 weeks horrendous symptoms thinking everything was fine. So I wouldn't go too much by symptoms. But also on the other hand I've heard from lots of people symptoms settling down about 8-10 weeks is common so best thing is try not to worry/over analyse everything. X
