I’ve had quite a light period, probably my lightest in a while and I didn’t drink any Pom juice at all last month! Usually drink it daily throughout the month so I wonder if it really does thicken the lining 🤔 Going back on it asap just in case! 😬

Just got my ivf schedule through from Care. Eeek!! It’s all getting very real now!
Quick question for long protocol ladies, did you take buserelin for the whole time? It says that I’m taking it until trigger, but I thought it was just up until stims?

@crazycatlady1981 yay to schedule! Just back from my baseline scan and I've just been told that you take buserelin alongside menopur so I guess until trigger. They're telling me things in stages as to not confuse me I guess, which is easily done lol! Also been told to use protection now in case I ovulate whilst stimming. I hope not though, as want all those eggs for the collection!!

@crazycatlady1981 amazing, how exciting!! I can't wait to get mine, hopefully this week! Interested to know the answer to your Q though, I though it was only up until stims as they're for opposite reactions?!
When do you start buserelin?

@notyetamumbuttrying when is your next scan then? It's all so close now isn't it, what's your timeline looking like? Bet you can't wait for EC, hope you're feeling ok

@polejunkie I forgot to add that they reduce the buserelin. So I was taking 50mg now it'll be 20 in the morning then 300mg of menopur at night. I'm on a high dose of menopur due to my shocking amh! I had 15 follicles today tho so it's odd why my amh is so much lower! 🤷🏾‍♀️

@polejunkie next scan is 26th May and if all looks good then it could be egg collection that Friday or the following Monday 31st! Yeah feeling good thanks! Although I had to have a blood test and will get called today to make sure I can start menopur tomorrow. Something about my corpus lutem showing and them wanting to rule out a cyst! How are you hun?

@notyetamumbuttrying ah I see, that makes more sense, remind me of your AMH, mine is 7.6 I think... I 'm desperately waiting to find out what I'll be on and actually have a schedule! Great news re the follicles... All looking good!
Is that about when you expected your next scan / EC to be? Hope the blood test is ok, not familiar with that...
I'm ok, just a bit fed-up with waiting, same old story really - I think once I have my schedule and drugs I'll at least be familiar with what I'm personally looking at and can plan life accordingly, feel like being a bit of a hermit atm, typically as the world opens up haha

@notyetamumbuttrying my weekend was ok thank you, just been sorting out some more work things now as started to get lots of orders for things after posting on fb yesterday lol how was the rest of your weekend? That's a great amount of follicles on your scan!

@Crazydoglady123 Christmas is very expensive for us too, my oh two boys are both mid December then my son is 22nd too! Plus a few other family members it's a nightmare lol

@polejunkie 5.4 😔 and I'm 35. This was done a month before my 35th so I was still 34, so pretty bloody low really! Hence the high menopur! I'm not sure what average is, just read in the drs letter that it was a high dose. Yeah the dates match what I expected so that's good! Yeah the blood test was a curve ball. In fact @Crazydoglady123 didn't you have a cyst? They said they want to check for that, in order to know whether I can start on menopur or not...
I know the feeling, that was me last month! Hopefully it comes this week mate 🤞🏾

I never asked about my follicle count at the last US which I keep kicking myself for - reckon I could ask the secretary? Or best just wait to ask the consultant at my next appointment in June?

@Juno231 you can call and ask, it should be on your notes, although I wouldn't worry too much as it's really not the be all and end all as it can change so much... Join us on the bus!! Pretty sure I'm currently sat waiting at the bloody bus stop ahaha

Yay for 15 follicles! That sounds really good for baseline scan! I’m also on 300mg of ovaleap then switch to 300mg of menopur for stims. My AMH is 6.1 so quite similar to yours although my afc was only 10 back in Dec.

@polejunkie starting buserelin injections on 3rd June (day 21) Hope you get your schedule through soon! You must starting a bit before me. I had to hassle my clinics a bit to get things moving, but it’s all go now. I just need to check if my blood screening needs to be redone and do injection training and then we’re ready! 😬

@crazycatlady1981 brilliant news! Yep the idea with the buserelin is the full dose 0.5ml switches off your ovaries then when you start stims you stay on a lower dose to help stop them from over stimulating and also ovulating early.

@notyetamumbuttrying really good amount of follicles. Yep I had a cyst and the buserelin shrunk it.

@polejunkie hope things start moving soon for you.

@crazycatlady1981 ow man, my CD21 is next Thurs (27th) and I know nothing... I'm being processed apparently - I don't want to be a pain, but I definitely don't want to not be in a position to start down regging next week! I have seen a lot of people say the drugs arrive pretty late so I'm trying not to worry about it atm... It's so nice to know how it's going for others on similar journeys, honestly, i'd be going mad with worry if I couldn't come on here for advice / questions!

@Juno231 it is quite exciting but very daunting too! It feels very real now that I've had the scan today and hopefully starting menopur tomorrow.
If you think the receptionist will tell you then no harm asking.
@crazycatlady1981 odd that they can be so different right. I asked for a repeat of my amh but she wouldn't budge lol so it's just my day 3s again today and to test for this cyst that I may or may not have.
@Crazydoglady123 oh interesting that it shrunk it. I didn't have a cyst at my last couple of scans so it's annoying that one might have appeared now. Weird that they couldn't see it on the scan and need a blood test to confirm or deny tho?! How you feeling today?
@polejunkie I got my drugs 3 days before I started. I followed up as I was panicking but seems they like leaving it to the wire!

@polejunkie @crazycatlady1981, @notyetamumbuttrying scan went well, apparently I'm basically ready for egg collection and it's now booked for Thursday. I had a 19, 17, 16 and a 12 and a tiny 6 that won't catch up. I'm very shocked seeing as last time I had to have extra stims! OH isn't happy as he is supposed to be at a meeting in Liverpool on Thursday and our clinic is in Southampton!

@polejunkie I am, still a bit in shock. I know from bitter experience that follicles can look good and be empty though so I'm going to try and not get my hopes up and just take what comes. Would be amazing to get more than 1 egg this time!
