Amazing news for both of your eggs :D @notyetamumbuttrying @motherofkittens28

@marvellouslymadmum yep that's promising that you have an appointment already, any kind of small steps makes 5his journey easier doesnt it!

I am just praying that all the women in the list before me get a bfp and then dont need the surgery at the moment 🥳😜

sausageface · 17/05/2021 13:07

Gosh I've missed so much over the last few days! Haha tried to catch up with as much as possible and will check in daily from now on 🤣 congratulations @Crazydoglady123! Hope you've not got too many symptoms appearing that make you feel out of sorts.

I received a copy of the letter that fertility sent to my gp and I'm struggling to find out if any of the numbers are off. Do any of you have much knowledge of what my lh should be for example if I shared the numbers with you? Also when did you all get your Amh blood test? I've not had one yet but am aware I'm still early in the system so maybe it's not standard at this point?

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2021 13:10

@Crazydoglady123 oh right. Nice of them to tell me that 😂 it best not mess anything up for me! I await the call with baited breath!
@Annny27 thank you 😊 they'll defo be cancellations and you'll sneak in there!
@sausageface post them and I'll have a look. Amh will be checked once you get to fertility. It won't be checked by a gp on day 3s or 21s.

Thanks @Crazydoglady123, @Annny27
@notyetamumbuttrying we are thinking that he takes me down to Southampton and does his bit and then leaves and my parents will come and collect me. Last time he had to wait two hours for me in the car as they chuck the men out ASAP due to covid! No point him waiting if he doesn't have to

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2021 13:27

@Motherofkittens28 good plan! Hoping mine can stay now that restrictions are loosening! Forgot to ask that today, will check at the next appointment.

@Motherofkittens28 ah brilliant eggy news! Hope all goes well despite no OH there for support!

@notyetamumbuttrying so you made me stay away from the stitches and funnily enough two of them have fallen out since I asked you about it last night! Three more to go that I can see!

Motherofkittens28 · 17/05/2021 13:36

@notyetamumbuttrying good news your baseline looked good and hopefully blood test also shows you can start stims now! The menopur bugs me as I'm always worried I have left a bit in the vial as it's hard to draw it all up, don't worry too much about it. I was only on 75 of menopur this time as I was on the ovaleap as well, certainly seems to have worked for me!

Motherofkittens28 · 17/05/2021 13:37

@Juno231, I pulled some of my stitches out in the end (once they were practically there) they kept poking me!

kerrym87 · 17/05/2021 13:40

@Juno231 mine dissolved in total it took 3 weeks

sausageface · 17/05/2021 14:07

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying. Good to know that Amh hasn't just been missed off so far! Will ask at my next fertility appointment in august about the details of as and when they'll do that. Luckily it seems I'm getting 3 monthly appointments so not waiting too long between each one. I was worried the whole system would be hugely backlogged. There's still time I guess for it all to slow down 🤣

My letter says: day 2 FSH 4.5, LH 1.4, oestradiol 460.

Endometrial thickness 5.4mm and mid-luteal progesterone 18 (day 25 of 27 day cycle in the end!)

Really appreciate the help!

crazycatlady1981 · 17/05/2021 14:23

@Motherofkittens28 excellent news on the eggs!! Fingers crossed for you for EC on Thursday! It’s a shame OH can’t be there for you afterwards but good that your parents can pick you up!

It’s all go here today! Got injection training booked in for next Tuesday with nurse and she’s getting our forms ready to have our bloods redone!

@sausageface I think @Marvellouslymadmum posted some LH/FSH figures a while back 🤔 or maybe on previous thread. I had my day 3s and AMH done privately so it was different to the usual schedule, but I think it’s usually done after or during your initial fertility appt at the clinic.

Juno231 · 17/05/2021 14:24

@sausageface that progesterone is pretty low - they normally look for minimum 30 to confirm ovulation has taken place. Then again seems like it wasn't taken at an optimal time? You should probably push to have it redone at around 7-9dpo. I'd also question the lining thickness as it seems to be on the low side perhaps. I think mine was 9mm 2-3 days before ovulation and my progesterone was in the 60s at 9dpo.

Juno231 · 17/05/2021 14:25

@kerrym87 funnily enough I'm at the 3 week mark tomorrow!
@Motherofkittens28 yes they're so annoying aren't they? My main belly button one seems to have been done a bit too tightly as well so I cn feel it pulling at my skin and it hurts.

sausageface · 17/05/2021 15:07

Thanks @Juno231 and @crazycatlady1981 really appreciate the insight! I've not seen the previous post about fsh etc so maybe I'll go back and try and find some previous threads incase it's on there. we know I don't ovulate every month (numbers in Jan were even lower!) but with pcos they say that's fairly common. The rest of it is a complete minefield! I'll do some more research now you've suggested it might not be quite where it needs to be :) x

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/05/2021 15:38

@Juno231 whoo hoo! They listened to their wise aunt notyetamumbuttrying 😝
My belly button one is still in, the rest are out now.
@Motherofkittens28 ah good to know on the menopur, will try and master it then! The doses are always so random aren't they. I'm sure they know what their doing, but be nice to understand the why's a bit more.
@sausageface hmm your progesterone is interesting as that should be over 30 but I see you did it late in the cycle so that might've perhaps skewed it. I know fsh you want low so yours looks good! Can't remember what lh should be.

OP posts:
Juno231 · 17/05/2021 16:20

@sausageface yes was gonna say - your fsh and lh look good. High fsh can indicate early menopause/low ovarian reserve and LH is mainly looked at as a ratio of FSH I think as a 2:1/3:1 LH to FSH ratio is indicative of PCOS.

paintfairy · 17/05/2021 20:46

@Motherofkittens28 excellent news about Thursday! It is a pain that men can't go in still. I hope it goes well for you.
@sausageface I agree that your progesterone is low but its dropping by that point in your cycle probably, so it's not really a good indication. Ideally needs to be done 7dpo, or as close as you can.

Motherofkittens28 · 18/05/2021 08:15

Morning all, last injections done and triggering tonight! Just worked out that I have more than £500 of unused meds, ouch! I don't think there is anything you can do with them except keep them for another cycle, but we don't intend to do another fresh cycle after this, or at least not until the back end of the year so they will have expired. Seems like such a waste!

polejunkie · 18/05/2021 08:42

@Motherofkittens28 yay for trigger! How are you feeling, all positive? Gosh that does seem like a waste... So expensive, although as you say I guess you don't really know what you will need or indeed how your body will respond, shame they can't be returned to the drug company - send them my way, I'm worried I won't get mine in time for day 21 haha

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/05/2021 09:00

@Motherofkittens28 yay for the trigger tonight! Shame about the wasteful meds, even bigger shame you can't send them to @polejunkie 😂

OP posts:
polejunkie · 18/05/2021 09:15

@Motherofkittens28 @notyetamumbuttrying all I know is the drug company is Stork... shame they can't just deliver a baby and be done with it lol

Motherofkittens28 · 18/05/2021 09:29

@polejunkie God wouldn't that be nice!

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/05/2021 11:11

@polejunkie now wouldn't that be an innovative company living up to its name!!

OP posts:
crazycatlady1981 · 18/05/2021 14:01

@Motherofkittens28 oh that’s a lot of money to have to waste! Hoping you get your BFP this time around and then it’ll be worth every penny!! So exciting to be triggering tonight!

@polejunkie You’ll prob get a phone call to organise delivery. My pharmacy phoned this morning from one and I’ve arranged to have it all delivered on Thursday.

polejunkie · 18/05/2021 14:33

@crazycatlady1981 that's exciting! When will you be starting? I don't know when to worry, they said it takes 7-10 days to process once you call up to confirm Day 1... I booked my day 1 on 6th May, maybe I'll give it the rest of this week.
