@thislittlebird I did think about the private scan. That might be a good idea. I ovulate late cd17 and then only have 9-12 days luteal. I'm 10 days today and have af like cramps so worried I don't have a big enough window for anything to stick. Apparently letrozole should pull my ovulation earlier.

thislittlebird · 03/06/2021 11:52

@CycleGirl20 interesting. Mine is similar, usually ovulate day 16-18 (but acupuncture seems to have made it earlier on occasion, at least I think so) with a 12 day LP. I’m convinced it’s something to do with the higher follicle count, like they’re fighting for supremacy in there.

Period is due today but I’ve been taking a fairly high dose of B6 for progesterone and not sure whether to stop taking it now or give it a couple of days.

CycleGirl20 · 03/06/2021 11:58

@thislittlebird I didn't realise b6 helped progesterone. I think my progesterone dropped yesterday as I had sore breasts and now I don't. I have a high done b complex. Might take that and see if I can hold on another couple of days to give anything that might try to implant a better chance!

thislittlebird · 03/06/2021 12:14

@CycleGirl20 yeah I get very low progesterone and very rarely get sore boobs but I have them right now! In absence of any help from doctors for a while I did some reading around here and other sites and just started taking b6 as others in similar positions have done. My luteal phase is always 12 days from what I can work out and this is day 13, but thinking the b6 might be stopping the natural progesterone drop and period starting, if you know what I mean. Hoping it doesn’t do that and my period just starts and I can take it again next month without any cycle delays. Will take it again tonight, I suppose Confused

Annny27 · 03/06/2021 12:34

@thislittlebird have you taken a test?

I was concerned about the nerve damage from high dose by BUT I did take 10mg last month instead of the 1mg I usually take and got a bfp (albeit had early miscarriage) but it might have helped my progesterone!

thislittlebird · 03/06/2021 12:49

@Annny27 no, I’ve been burned by too many bfns 😩

I’m on a high dosage, 50mg pre O, then 100mg post and then I’ll stop at cd1. But my fear is cd1 won’t come because of the high dose 🥴. I guess I’ll leave it until tonight and see what happens.

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/06/2021 13:21

@CycleGirl20 yeah we were shocked and very pleased! Mine was submucosal too I think but somewhere harmless, think on the outside of my uterus wall. Can't remember the measurement now but 1 something so I guess they thought it'd go on its own. I'm glad yours got removed!
@thislittlebird ooh I hope you don't come on!! 🤞🏾
@Theawkwardblonde how are you my love? How long until your scan now? X

Juno231 · 03/06/2021 13:33

@CycleGirl20 welcome! Your AF didn't show for five months post op? Is that unusual? I had a lap in April which luckily didn't mess with my cycle at all but I just had some endo removed, no fibroids. Are you and OH deemed to have unexplained infertility then if they are saying 2% morphology is OK? Almost annoying then as it delays you getting to the IVF stage on the NHS!

@thislittlebird Vit b's do tend to prolong the LP but if AF is gonna show it's not gonna prevent it from doing so! Perhaps this is the length LP you would have had if your progesterone was naturally higher? Fingers crossed though it's a cheeky BFP lurking Grin

CycleGirl20 · 03/06/2021 14:06

@Juno231hi & thanks! Glad to hear you didn't have the delay like we did following your lap. I think it is normal to have no AF for 5 months. They weren't too worried and I have been regular the last month. I had quite a bit incision on my stomach and they wanted that to heal before I became pregnant (😅 seems quite low risk after 15 months). I don't know if we're unexplained or not. I guess the fibroids were a likely cause and we've not really tried since surgery. My doctor seemed happy enough to refer us. My DH just needs some blood tests doing.

thislittlebird · 03/06/2021 14:44

@Juno231 fair point. Maybe it would be slightly longer if I had normal progesterone, but saying that, my follicular phase is normal to longer than normal. Not sure how I feel about 30 day + cycles with an extended LP.
🤔

My bfp hopes are non existent but would be content with my period not being a week late for no reason. Hoping it’ll be a day or two at most. Would you carry on taking it if you were me? Feels like cd1 (whenever that is) and not sooner is the right time to stop.

CycleGirl20 · 03/06/2021 16:00

@thislittlebird I know what you mean hope wise. I'm really struggling to even imagine I might ever be pregnant! I also know how you mean the being late thing for no reason. I feel like every month my body does something new to trick me into a tiny bit of thinking it might actually be happening... Then AF comes!

Juno231 · 03/06/2021 16:25

@thislittlebird I'd say it probably would make no difference to stop now if you're at 12dpo? Do what you're most comfortable with

@CycleGirl20 interesting about DH - I don't think mine has had any blood tests done!

thislittlebird · 03/06/2021 19:41

@Juno231 I’m just going to carry on for now, hoping AF appears in a day or two I guess. Well, not hoping for AF exactly. But hoping the delay (of it’s just a delay) won’t be too long.

@CycleGirl20 yeah I can’t imagine it either and I don’t expect it any more. If I get excited it just means more disappointment so low it’s a low expectation zone over here. I used to symptom spot but I haven’t done it in months now. Not to the extent I google stuff, even if occasionally things cross my mind.

CycleGirl20 · 03/06/2021 19:50

@thislittlebird I try really hard not to symptom spot, then my body throws something else up and I think "ohhh, maybe???" I never really believe it but it doesn't stop it catching me off guard. It's really hard to be good when it seems so unlikely. I really fancy a glass of wine and having to work hard to maintain my will power when I know I'm probably not preggers 😂🍷

Crazydoglady123 · 03/06/2021 19:53

Welcome @CycleGirl20

@notyetamumbuttrying how's your recovery going? I meant to ask, do you get offered add on with the NHS like embryo glue?

thislittlebird · 03/06/2021 20:01

@CycleGirl20 honestly I don’t worry about a glass of wine or a gin. I’m not drinking excessively so I go ahead and have it. I’ve not had a bfp before, seems pointless for me to worry if you know what I mean. I logged a ton of bizarre symptoms over the months and not one of them was pregnancy related so I’m at a loss at this stage, who knows what I’ll get it I ever get pregnant, probably not those symptoms I had before Confused

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/06/2021 20:36

@Crazydoglady123 I was in agony this morning but was ok after two codeine. No, no add ons, well I haven't asked but I doubt it even if I did. Have the twins sunk in yet? Smile

Crazydoglady123 · 03/06/2021 21:42

@notyetamumbuttrying oh no! Glad you're okay now! Some people say day 2 is worse. Have a look into embryo glue if you think you'd be prepared to pay for it (£200-300). We used it for ours after reading it can increase implantation by 7%. Ours was included in the Access Fertility package so for me the fact they include it must mean they think it's worth using. They pop them in it 10 mins before transfer so you don't have to give lots of notice

Juno231 · 04/06/2021 09:43

@thislittlebird any AF news?

@notyetamumbuttrying transfer day is Sunday right?

thislittlebird · 04/06/2021 09:54

@Juno231 nope, no AF has appeared. I’ll keep putting it down to the b6 for now because I’ve read people say it has lengthened their LP by 2 or 3 days.

Juno231 · 04/06/2021 09:58

@thislittlebird I don't know how you resist testing! I'd be chomping at the bit by now

notyetamumbuttrying · 04/06/2021 10:01

@Crazydoglady123 ok thanks, will look it up!
@Juno231 yep, Sunday. How you getting on?
@thislittlebird I really hope this is it for you! 🤞🏾

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 04/06/2021 10:04

@Juno231 I find testing so stressful I would rather not do it until I really, really have to. I’ve been 6 (I think) days late before (not when on the b6) so I’m gonna ignore it until it’s been a good few days of no AF showing her face. Usually what happens is I’m late, I test, and then AF appears all of five minutes later Confused

thislittlebird · 04/06/2021 10:04

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying, I do too, but I’ve been burnt by late periods before in this stupid game lol

notyetamumbuttrying · 04/06/2021 10:15

@thislittlebird such a head fuck isn't it! Confused
