And me 😊 notyetamumbuttrying 35 ttc no1 for 20 months. Ivf started in May. Long protocol.

I'm 11dpo and tested this morning on a cheapie. Forgot about it for a few minutes then saw a very faint smudge. So I used my last frer. I'm quite shocked. I've tested with frers before and 2 other cycles I had similar. The first time after 5 months I was like "oh wow how poetic that it took me just long enough to really appreciate and respect the difficulty of TTC but not so long it broke me"- 2 days later, AF came to teach me a lesson! I'm now 15 months in and definitely a bit broken. Not sure if I should believe this or not. My OH can see the line but is avoiding being excited "after last time". I'm tempted to take all my B vitamins pills to try to make sure AF doesn't come before my HCG is high enough for my body to realise to stop it (short luteal phase). Or maybe this is a false positive. It's very faint on both.

I'm still here, sniffing away - AF now two days late but I'm not worried (definitely not pregnant this month!!) just hope I have my bleed at some point. Half way through down regging now, headaches are creeping in, kind of excited to start stimming now (is that weird...?!)

Defo not weird to be excited by stimming. I was! It's the part that then speeds everything up as you'll be having a few scans and getting dates in the diary for EC and ET! When's your baseline scan?

@notyetamumbuttrying Ohhhh exciting - it's perhaps less of an issue waiting now you know the reality of transfer is here - I have everything crossed for you!

Yeah the diary becomes quite full so you must feel like you're making actual progress come stims - baseline is 16th June which I believe is the day before first injection (allegedly!)

@polejunkie it's still quite nerve racking as there's still a drop off rate as this point. The biggest in-fact! I could get there and be told only 1/2 made it etc but I'm hoping for 4/5 so will be thrilled with anymore and pretty devo with any less, but at least having one transferred and one frozen is better than zero which does sometimes happen!
Good luck for the 16th then, it'll all start ramping up after that date. I can't believe I'm nearing transfer stage. Getting really nervous but trying to ignore it.

@cyclegirl20 it's the start of a positive woohooo Still very low levels of hcg so I wouldnt bother using the digital yet tbh!

But hopefully in a day or two it will increase :D

@notyetamumbuttrying - completely get that. I keep thinking about the numbers at each stage, initial scan, how many get big enough, how many at collection, how many survive, how many fertilize, how many get to day 4/5... I hear you completely! Good numbers to start with though for you so definitely a good chance you'll have some to freeze... After the all important transfer of course

I'm doing good thanks, had a scan at 8+5 which went well.
I'm 10+5 currently and getting more anxious leading up to my 12 week scan as I'm terrified Ill have had a MMC.
Been pretty bad with sickness the last 4 weeks but today I'm feeling okay. I'm usually a lot worse on a night so will see how I feel later. I'm pretty wiped out tbh as sick about 5+ times a day, but definitely not complaining 😂

@polejunkie I had 15 eggs at baseline and then by first stimming scan it was 11, by the last it was 10. I think all 10 were mature given the fertilisation rate of 8, so I'm fully expecting 4/5 on Sunday but secretly hoping for 6! 🤞🏾It's hard rationalising it all in your head tho, it's such an anxious time and a time when we're meant to be stress free too  so I'm now at the point of what will be, will be! Everyone is different tho which I'm learning on the infertility thread I'm on too.

@Theawkwardblonde yay glad the early scan went well! And not too long until the 12 week one, you'll have to let us know how it goes! Eek to all the sickness but I'm pretty sure that's good signs if it still continuing on at this point. It should ease off after 12 weeks. One of my friends literally stopped feeling sick the day after the scan 😃 she thinks nerves played a big part in it too. Best of luck honey ♥️

So I don’t want to test yet because I’ve been this late before but I also want to stop the high dose B6 because I’m paranoid about the nerve damage potential as @Annny27 mentioned...it would be really helpful if doctors could be more helpful in this whole process. When someone has very low progesterone it seems strange to me that they don’t offer pessaries as a cheap and easy possible solution. Instead people (me) are trying things on themselves because help is not offered. Clearly I’m awake at 1.30 pondering this

@thislittlebird if it helps, in terms of embryo development the nerves don't even form until about 3 weeks after fertilisation so a few days of b6 likely won't harm.

@kerrym87 yeah, there’s that I suppose. Was more thinking about the harm to me because I was a bit shaky when I woke up and am now. It could be for lots of reasons but obviously I’ve convinced myself it’s the b6 🙃

I faced the demon test, bfn with a stupid indent for good measure as expected. I guess it is keeping my periods at bay, my body probably doesn’t know what to do with all this progesterone 🥴

@thislittlebird it sounds like you've had a rough night. Hope you managed to get some sleep.

I tested again today and it's negative/very faint line if you hold it a certain way. AF due in the next couple of days so I guess that's that this month. One stop cheapie still has a faint second smudge. Had a bad night's sleep too because I was trying to hold my pee in 😅

It seems really common for me to get the 2nd line, then 1 or 2 days later a negative then AF. I was hoping the surgery had resolved it 😭

Has anyone had similar?

@CycleGirl20 Sorry to hear about your tests. I ended up getting up at midday after my middle of the night overthinking. AF came today, it still upsets me after all this time. On the plus side I can book my hycosy now (not that I want it especially lol).

@thislittlebird sorry about af coming hun, it's always crushing especially if you see glimmers of hope! Good to get the hycosy done and another thing ticked off and closer to interventions.

Hi all, just popped on to see how everyone is getting on. I found Mumsnet was really affecting my mental health as I kept comparing myself to others so the break has been good and I won't be on here all the time 🙂

@notyetamumbuttrying Good luck for tomorrow's update and transfer. It is so nerve wracking waiting for those updates. I had 8 fertilise as well and had to wait till day of transfer. We had 1 to transfer and 1 to freeze but then another caught up on day 6 so 3 embryos out of 8 made it. I think my DH crap sperm was the reason more didn't make it. We did have more blasts but they just said they weren't good enough to freeze, I don't even know how many or the grades.

@Motherofkittens28 so so sorry to see about your last round, I can imagine how utterly devastating that is. I hope you have an amazing wedding, it sounds beautiful. My dress also had a blush layer! Take some time and enjoy your wedding and honeymoon ❤️

Sorry if I have missed any other updates as I haven't read through all of the threads.

So I have started my FET (frozen embryo transfer). Stopped norethisterone on Thursday and just waiting for AF, baseline scan is Wednesday with planned transfer on 29th June. I'm not really feeling excited tbh, just going with the flow and trying not to think about it too much. The failed transfer in April really knocked me, I didn't anticipate how much of an effect it would have and the withdrawal from the meds made it worse looking back. So what will be will be and I'm not getting my hopes up (well trying not to).
I also got referred to the endo clinic, my appointment is 19th August so if the transfer fails at least I have that to see if I have it and get it sorted.
