@Marvellouslymadmum definitely. It just feels surreal, like I can't believe it at the minute. I think after trying for so long you can't help but fill yourself with worry that even this stage a lot can go wrong. I'm hoping the scan (if all is well) makes it sink in

@Crazydoglady123 I know!! Dh was like, oh shit I need Tuesday off then? I was like yes please. Then he said I don't need the whole day do I...I was like probably not, no, but don't go anywhere please 😂
You'll hopefully feel better after the scan and once you know whether it's one or two, very exciting!

@Crazydoglady123 haven’t started meds yet, starting this Thursday! Can’t wait, just wanna get going now! Wow those injections sound like hell! 😱 Only a few more weeks to go though! Good luck for your scan on Wednesday!

@polejunkie glad you are doing ok and headaches haven’t kicked in! DH and I have just upped our water intake so I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep the headaches at bay too once I get started!
Typically my workload has suddenly increased in the last few days! 🙄 Been really quiet all year and the minute I’m about to start ivf, everyone starts to hassle me! Lol! I’ve decided to take time off when I start stims though so only two more weeks of crazy and then I can just chill out and focus on me and my eggs!! 😬

Have your meds arrived now yeah? Good idea with the time off. My ET is this Sunday so thinking I'll take Monday off for chill time then work the rest of the tww and we have a week off around testing date. We've booked a few nights away in the uk so it'll either be a celebratory affair or drowning our sorrows!!

As for whether or not it was AF - god knows! It was def full flow but it was a much brighter red than I'm used to - looked a bit like from a wound tbh. Had nothing in my mooncup today but also had a BFN on IC so at least I know it's not a weird pregnancy bleed.

@notyetamumbuttrying we are trying to keep going but my temps down again today and I'm nearly out of opk so not sure what to do after this weekend!

@crazycatlady1981 are you getting excited for ivf or nervous?

@notyetamumbuttrying that's great news, exciting! My advice based on my two rounds would be to go in hoping for 5 or 6 eggs and then if there are more you will be chuffed. If you go in hoping for 10 you will feel awful if you get less and you don't want to do that to yourself!
I think AF is going to come early following my failed round, this socks as it then means I'll have AF for quite a few days at the end of our honeymoon, rather than just the last day if she had come on time!

@Marvellouslymadmum well I wouldn't force it. Swimmers can live for 5 days as well so hopefully you're nice and covered! 👍🏾
@Motherofkittens28 thanks for the advice, I was already thinking that would be the case as only 3 or 4 were at 18mm so unless the rest catch up by Tuesday it'll be 5 or 6 collected. Do they only collect ones that are above 18mm do you know? Ah I hope she doesn't mate! I guess you're feeling quite crampy then?

I am about 1 or 2 dpo - had vaccine recently and felt a bit Ill after so only manager to dtd a day or two before ovulation! But as you say, last cycle we only dtd twice and managed to catch!

@miw01 how are you feeling in terms of recovery now?

@crazydoglady123 I am so excited for your scan to find out whether its twins or not hehe

@notyetamumbuttrying I think they try and collect all of them but if an egg isn't mature it won't have detached from the follicle wall so they won't be able to collect it. They can try flushing the follicles to try and get ones that are only loosely attached but then there is a risk they aren't mature. That's why I got so few eggs, they hadn't detached from the follicles, they weren't actually empty

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm ok, just all my usual tells, headache, cramping etc, I'm not due on till Thursday but I expect it will be today or tomorrow :(

@Marvellouslymadmum it’s frustrating not knowing when you’ve ovulated, we were told to do dtd every other day every month and I just can’t do it. My sex drive is non-existent for the most part and I’m so tired of it all. We only end up dtd during the fertile window because the desire to do it outside of that is low.

@thislittlebird my sex drive is also non existent at the monent! Dont know if it's the stress and depression of infertility but I just cba haha. It's obviously fun when it gets going but making the effort feels like a chore

@thislittlebird I'll be honest, I've relished not having to dtd this cycle! We've never missed a fertile week before in nearly 21 months, so it felt weird knowing that we were but then it didn't matter anyway!

@Annny27 honestly the effort we both put in now is minimal. I just want to get past this and achieve the goal so we can stop the regimental sex.

@Motherofkittens28 my birthday was last weekend. My sister text me on the morning of my birthday to say my niece (in her in 20s) was being induced. It’s her second baby since last March, and I didn’t even know she was pregnant, we aren’t that close. Suffice to say I cried over my hotel breakfast tray a bit.

@notyetamumbuttrying no i can't in June. It falls completely wrong timing wise. So it'll be July.

@notyetamumbuttrying we only started doing every other day when we thought we were coming up for ovulation so just hoping we can carry on as much as possible until we know what's going on!

@thislittlebird I know what you mean! We are always ready after af has gone but then it starts to dwindle just by the fw so more effort or we would prob miss it totally abs want to dtd again after 😂

Af has started this morning, that likely now means I will have my period 5 days of our 10 day honeymoon 😞 This really sucks!

@Motherofkittens28 sorry af showed, is there anyway you could delay it while you're on your honeymoon? Maybe just take the pill while you're away then stop at the end? As you're doing the Ivf with your frozen eggs after it shouldn't effect your cycle much.

Which ovulation strips do people use? And do you find them reliable? I use the cb advanced tests but also strips as I can use them more per day and after ov as they're cheap and this month my cb didn't arrive in time so I've just been using strips but used the last one this morning so need to get more - should've ordered yesterday with the vits! 🙄 I've been using the Femometer ones which are reliable but £9.99 for 40 Lh and 10 ph the one step ones are the same amount for £5.99 but don't know how good they are. Anyone used them?
