@notyetamumbuttrying I did my BMI on the NHS this morning after being curious reading this thread. They've got a new race category, except for my ethnicity (mixed White/Chinese) apparently BMI of over 23 is overweight 😬not 25

@MgW1 sorry to hear about mc I had one too last year and was the worst experience ever.. glad your in a better place x
I tried temping it’s okish but gives me false hope when I see high temps but it did help me see when I roughly ovulate. There’s a calculator that fixes your temps to correct temp. If that makes sense lol
I’m forever running out why I brought the easy@home ones too. I’ll probably dtd till Tuesday too really hoping to catch this month 🤞🏽🤞🏽

got2be · 09/05/2021 13:25

Did anyone see that message?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 09/05/2021 13:49

@got2be no what did it say, did you see?

got2be · 09/05/2021 14:13

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 no but she spammed another thread i follow and this is what someone wrote.

It said "my p**y is really wet check out these photos"

MgW1 · 09/05/2021 15:22

@got2be
Omg 🙈🙈🙈 xx

thislittlebird · 09/05/2021 18:01

Oh my. I was coming here to tell you I’d done some gardening and show my plants. You can see those if you want lmao

thislittlebird · 09/05/2021 18:02

And like we haven’t seen our own, thanks.

thislittlebird · 09/05/2021 18:06

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Oh no 😭 I can’t believe it’s even lower for you. Mine was definitely 25, I guess I should be relieved.

@MgW1 I ran out of the antidepressant I was on and after the last week I’m going to ask for some more from the doc I think.

MgW1 · 09/05/2021 18:59

@thislittlebird
Oh no! Deffo get some more , its very stressful all this , decided id cut it down and wean off if i get pregnant at around 12 weeks ish

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/05/2021 19:43

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 well that's utterly ridiculous then 😂 it's so laughable! Swear they just make half of it up!
@thislittlebird haha 😆constantly seeing ours on scans and all sorts!
Defo get more sorted, you're meant to come off them slowly rather than stop dead aren't you.

Farfaraway1 · 09/05/2021 20:16

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum and @notyetamumbuttrying doing ok thanks. But I do have my days! You’ll be so proud of me though.. I only did ONE HPT this cycle.. 😂😂

Missmcmonkeymcbean · 09/05/2021 20:43

Is anyone being super strict with diet whilst ttc? Been reading about the standard vegetables, fruits, nuts, lean meat for a healthy diet etc and then the pineapple and Brazil nuts during ovulation and then dpo but now reading that too much sugar can really affect fertility. I eat a fair bit of sugar in chocolate etc and wondering if I need to practically cut it out if I have any hope of conceiving...? What's anyone else doing?

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/05/2021 21:12

@Farfaraway1 whoop 🙌🏾
@Missmcmonkeymcbean funny you ask that, this just came up on my emails...

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 09/05/2021 21:24

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks for that link! Yes this is pretty much the diet I am trying to do, recommended on the Conceivables also. Trying to eat beans, lentils or chickpeas everyday, and 8 portions of veg a day, plus whole grains. Feeling better for it, but because we can’t eat tins (apparently) the bloody soaking everything is annoying

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/05/2021 21:32

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 good going! I don't manage all that veg every day nor the whole grains so you're doing well! Didn't know that about the tins. 🤔
Glad you're feeling better for it 💕

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 09/05/2021 21:39

@notyetamumbuttrying haha TRYING is the key word there 😂 We'll see how long it lasts

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/05/2021 21:44

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 haha fair enough! I always start so well with good intentions and some weight loss and then go out for dinner or something and everything goes out the window 🤦🏾‍♀️ need to get bk on track this week! Need to get a big shop done again!

Missmcmonkeymcbean · 09/05/2021 22:07

@notyetamumbuttrying - ooh thanks, I'll have a look at that and try to adjust my diet. Been trying to cut down on the sugars but both myself and boyf have a sweet tooth so it's not gone well 😂

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/05/2021 22:26

@notyetamumbuttrying ooh that's not far away at all! That's exactly right - how can they base so much on bmi when it's such a broad way of measuring people?! I wouldn't say I'm fat (maybe a bit round 😂)

@got2be I have to have another blood tests next month to see if my levels are being maintained on the dose I'm on now and if they are I assume I'm just on this amount forever 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😂😂😂 about that message
I don't think any of us need to se ethos pics!

@MgW1 I need a chocolate brownie to go with my decaf tea now 😂

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 i wa sdiscussinv bmi with my daughter earlier and she was disgusted that it told me I was obese and said it was crazy

@Farfaraway1 just the one test is definitely progress!

@Missmcmonkeymcbean im a vegetarian anyway so pretty healthy diet, don't really snack much, been eating fresh pineapple including core each morning on an empty stomach in the fw and ov day, going to add Brazil nuts this time, drinking pomegranate juice, only drink decaf tea, seed cycling. That's about it

@notyetamumbuttrying yes me too, I’ve been doing this for only a couple months but already extras are sneaking in like a pain au chocolate while walking pooch yesterday or some chocolate truffles last night 🙈😋

@Misty84 and others who mentioned DHEA recommended by clinics, wow I’ve got to the DHEA chapter in It Starts With the Egg and it looks so positive. The studies in the last few years look amazing. One third fell pregnant before their IVF by taking it for 4 months in prep for their IVF, but from the control group only 4% fell pregnant before

ElsieG3m · 10/05/2021 08:12

@Missmcmonkeymcbean I've definitely read that sugar causes inflammation which is bad for fertility in general. I don't think that eating natural fruits is problematic because they also have lots of vitamins that conversely support fertility. I have been eating dreadfully for about 6 months and piled on weight though still with a bmi of 24. This has included a lot of sugar. I get chronic migraines and sometimes sweet biscuits are all I can stomach. I have one right now and it will last 48 hours. During this time, when I'm vomiting and in agony, I'll give myself permission to eat what I need to. Then I'm going to look at cutting many of the refined and processed foods that I eat though I'll confess that this is partly because I don't want to look like a porker when I return to the office in June 🤣 and I want to be able to wear whatever I want like I did last summer (when I was 5 ft 4 and 8 st 10!). I would say though that I was heavier in my first pregnancy and didn't have the best diet (lots of choc!) and I don't think it affected my ability to conceive or maintain...I guess I'm just working with more challenging margins this time! xx

ElsieG3m · 10/05/2021 08:13

Just re-read my message above - I'm still 5ft 4 - haven't shrunk this year! 😂

Misty84 · 10/05/2021 08:14

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I better get ordering then!😂
So hard to get my levels checked anyway because getting a doctor appointment at my surgery is bloody impossible 🙄 x
