@got2be

oh and was advised to stop using okps and just dtd every other day for the whole month no matter if i feel i know when ive ov.
Seriously??? I dunno about that...opks is literally what helps me know when to DTD. And honestly at our age and comfort level, my partner and I are not having or wanting sex all the time so it helps to know when we have to do it
A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 20/05/2021 17:37

@VixFromThe6ix do you mind me asking why you were on progesterone, and how you found it? Just wondering if the Canadian drs are a bit more proactive, and if there's other stuff we could be considering over here.

@got2be every other day the whole month is a bit of a slog! I like my week off in the 2ww :)

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 20/05/2021 17:39

@VixFromThe6ix sorry cross post!

VixFromThe6ix · 20/05/2021 17:43

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 the reason is because of my cycle. I would get my period same time every month but I would spot for 8 days straight before I get my cramps and heavy day on day 9, so by the time it's all done it's 2 weeks of bleeding. She said it's probably because my pregesterone is low which is what was causing my uterus to shed early (the premature spotting) which could have been why my pregnancies didn't progress as my wall was possibly not thick enough to hold the egg.
I'm loving my 6 day periods since I started taking it, kind of sad to stop cause I feel like my spotting will return lol

got2be · 20/05/2021 17:45

@VixFromThe6ix no need to apologise any information is always appreciated. i have had all bloods scans etc everything apart from lap to check for endo. which she point blank refused.
its even more frustrating as that's the 2nd NHS gyne that has said that to me, really makes me think to give up. as they have wasted 2 years off ttc.
saying that i will give the progesterone a go but only been given 2 months worth. so 30 pessaries in total.
i don't know what i will do moving forward will talk to dh again and make a decision.
will you continue with the progesterone?

got2be · 20/05/2021 17:50

@vix*@VixFromThe6ix @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7* she asked about dtd i said some months 8 times other 3/4 around ov, she said every other day i let it go in one ear and out the other its actually impossible and i enjoy dtd lol
i asked for progesterone before and was told no. today she threw it at me without asking.
just reading up on it and it does seem to do good. so fingers crossed x

got2be · 20/05/2021 17:51

@VixFromThe6ix i'd speak to ur clinic before stopping progesterone as mine said if it works i can get more from my gp to get me to 12w

VixFromThe6ix · 20/05/2021 17:52

@got2be I'd be so annoyed if I was in your shoes. But I do hope you don't give up, if nothing is coming up in the tests then you just gotta keep going.
If this pregnancy progresses I have to stay on the progesterone for 10 weeks, then placenta makes its own progesterone and I don't need to take it.
If it doesn't progress, I will stop it till the next cycle when we try again and I ovulate.
I can't give up, if I am not blessed with a baby I wanna know that I did absolutely everything I could.

I soooo hope it does good for you ... Is yours oral or vaginal insertion? And how many mgs?

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/05/2021 18:01

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I was actually really surprised as he's quite reticent and doesn't talk about ttc much so I've never known how much he wants this until now - he's doing everything he can, gave up smoking, doesn't drink, been exercising, eating more healthily everything but I still want sure if that was for ttc or himself and now I know!

@VixFromThe6ix keeping everything crossed that the line will get darker for you!

@thislittlebird I'm actually really surprised at this gp I think she's a bit of a gem!! Also surprised at my oh and very pleased with him right now

@notyetamumbuttrying they said up to two weeks for the results but 🤞🏻 they're ok, he had his Covid jab two weeks ago though 🤷🏼‍♀️

@got2be the progesterone could help with implantation failure 🤞🏻

@VixFromThe6ix aww thank you xx and i'm so happy that you've got a bfp, im going to need another cycle buddy now Smile
its pessaries 400mg so vaginal. 15 in each pack and have 2 packs.
so will now stop testing as its just getting lighter and wait for af

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 20/05/2021 18:02

@VixFromThe6ix well my fingers are firmly crossed for you! Sounds like the progesterone is working for you. And thanks for sharing so much info, its really useful hearing what others are doing and why. Its a steep learning curve!

@got2be exciting you have some progesterone to try also!

got2be · 20/05/2021 18:07

@Marvellouslymadmum yes hoping it will be what makes the difference.

how are you getting on with endo? they won't give me a lap and said i have no symptoms (other then all the ones i have lol) to suggest endo.

sorry everyone else just jumped back on thread without reading back. hope your all ok xx

VixFromThe6ix · 20/05/2021 18:09

@got2be did you test today?? Don't give up hope, what if tomorrow the line is stronger? It's sucks that getting a BFP is not a reason to get excited anymore for us having some trouble with conception. We need to see progression and blood tests and ultrasounds, a heartbeat...then it's like ok maybe it's actually gonna happen.
My friends got their BFP and then a baby in 9 months so they don't know what it's like for me.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 your so welcome. I hope that it helped me. Thank you keeping your fingers crossed for me. I hope all this positive energy results in a sticky baby 💗

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 20/05/2021 18:16

@Marvellouslymadmum well now is also the perfect time to be feeling so pleased with him 🤩😜
On a serious note though that's really lovely, it must be good to see the effort he's making. Giving up smoking isn't easy, giving up drinking etc now things are opening up ditto. We're lucky to have this place to learn and vent, men don't really have that

got2be · 20/05/2021 18:18

@VixFromThe6ix omg you've totally hit the nail on the head. its horrible, just try and relax as much as possible, i know easier said then done but your line for 9dpo is amazing x
i need to order more as went crazy poas since 6dpo, got bfp at 8dpo tested this morning 10dpo and nothing.
but did notice the lines were better in evening rather then fmu which i found odd.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 20/05/2021 18:18

@got2be ugh sorry you've symptoms of endo and they won't test you. Hope the progesterone works for you, but its not nice not being listened to and taken seriously

got2be · 20/05/2021 18:21

can't remember who mentioned it but the white cm is definitely a tell tell sign.

got2be · 20/05/2021 18:24

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 i always thought endo was something you just knew you had, but if it was not for the ladies on here i would never of known i have a lot of the symptoms.
i might go back to my gp for another referral to gyne for endo this time.
but dont know how ill get on seeing gyne has just given up on me re fertility

VixFromThe6ix · 20/05/2021 18:26

I think so too!! My very first pee I get lighter results. The best line I get it second pee of the day. When I tested yesterday I tested in the early evening, today's was first and second pee and second one was darker. I think I'm just gonna do second pee from now on.

VixFromThe6ix · 20/05/2021 18:27

What are endo symptoms?? How would the doctor know if I had it? What kind of tests? @got2be @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7

got2be · 20/05/2021 18:35

@VixFromThe6ix hmm ill order more an won't rule out till af shows her ugly face lol

you can only be diagnosed by having a Laparoscopy which is major surgery, the symptoms i have are unexplained infertility, heavy and painful af, pain full ov, ibs/ stomach issues, constant pain on left side.
i think others could give you more in regards to symptoms.
separately they could mean anything but all together it does suggest endo esp when everything else is normal

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/05/2021 19:01

@got2be that's crazy! Maybe keep a diary of all your symptoms and pains etc and then present it to them and see what they say? I'm just in so much pain every month, I've spoken to two nurses and my gp when I've been there for appointments and they all say it sounds like endo so I'm hoping that once I go to my gynaecology appt in august they'll agree to a lap! I've heard some people say they could only get bfp evening rather than morning with some pregnancies 🤞🏻 you never know! I was exactly the same re endo
Too just thought it was something people knew they had 🤷🏼‍♀️ ignorant person that I am!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm planning on being very pleased with him this evening 😂 he tends to internalise everything so it was really nice to get a bit of insight about what he's actually feeling, it's meant that I've actually been able to talk about ttc with him too and he's actively joining in the convo rather than nodding along and not wanting to reply lol

@VixFromThe6ix for me my endo symptoms are painful ovulation then sometimes pain all the way until af, very bloated for two weeks out of four, very painful af cramps in abdomen and lower back, nausea, hurts when I sit down, painkillers don't touch it, heavy clotty af (like so heavy I leak in the night) though only for two days then spotting for a week after (two weeks so far this month) pain during deep sex and sometimes after as well. That's all the ones I can think of at the mo! As @got2be said though the only way the definitely know is surgery

VixFromThe6ix · 20/05/2021 19:14

@Marvellouslymadmum @got2be thank you for enlightening me. I often seen it mentioned in articles but wasn't sure if I may have it too mostly because my cramps have always been so horrendous, but I don't have any other of the mentioned symptoms. I'm sorry that you girls are going through these pains.

got2be · 20/05/2021 19:33

@VixFromThe6ix found another one so thought i'd poas and the line is back.
i feel like i'm going crazy.
