@Marvellouslymadmum you're not ignorant were not taught these things. we get told so early you dtd you get pregnant, things like periods are such taboo subjects so we think what we go through is normal.
i've learnt so much being on mn x

@got2be when did they tell you to take it?? I would definitely call and ask especially if they think your progesterone may be low. Ugh all my fingers are crossed for you 🤞🤞

today has been the most craziest of days bfn in morning, told i need ivf in afternoon and bfp in evening!!

Normally I'd say, you deserve a glass of wine after a day like that, but you probably shouldn't 🤣🤣 @got2be
My partner and I got non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Makes you feel like you're drinking something fancy but it's just grape juice with fizz 🤣

To jump in on the endometriosis conversation, I had a laparoscopy about 10-15 years ago because they thought I had endometriosis. I was referred from my GP to a private doctor as I had insurance from work, otherwise I’m not sure how much help the GP would have been. I say that because of his response when we got the results back and there was no sign of endometriosis although I’d been suffering from severe period pain and laughingly heavy periods for years (nearly got fired for taking so much sick leave).....his advice was “maybe you should just have a baby, clear everything out a bit, then I’m sure your periods would be more manageable.”

@VixFromThe6ix there's even such a thing as silent endo when people have very few symptoms but as the only way to tell is an operation it's hard for the docs to work it out!

@got2be that definitely looks like a bfp! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 it is and you have a sticky little bean! And that is very true, it doesn't help either that it's exactly how it happened with both my now teenagers! We decided we wanted a baby and bam 3 months after stopping the depo injection I'm pregnant, we decide we want a second child so I have my implant removed and next month I'm pregnant! 🤷🏼‍♀️ just wish it was really like that for everyone every time, I've learned loads from being on here!

@ImpatientTTCer i really do wonder where some medical staff get there training. good you don't have endo but then no answers to why you have symptoms.
thing is having a baby is unpredictable as af could be heavier or lighter after.

Um, what an advise to give lol some things I hear doctors say makes me just shake my head in disbelief.
But I was told something similar, I have super bad cramps and that they will stop if I had a kid. My mom had two kids and her cramps didn't stop.

@Marvellouslymadmum that's so crazy... There seriously has to be an easier way to diagnose it!!

@VixFromThe6ix apparently there's a new blood test that may possibly be able to diagnose it but it's not used anywhere yet!
