@thislittlebird I am so sorry you had to deal with all these. I was about to say this too - probably go private for once to de-stress yourself and get your meds sorted. You shouldn't have had to go through all these...it's just madness

@Marvellouslymadmum amazing you’ve got your scan so soon! This is a productive week for you two. Good luck for the semen analysis. My partner got his through and was a bit surprised that they spelled out the sample is to be provided in the office 😂

@a1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yes, cycle buddies! How long is your luteal phase normally? Mine is 12ish days, so I'm due around 1st June 🤞 don't know why but I have a good feeling about this month!

@Noodella18 12 ish days too! I have a big night out next weekend so was hoping I could test before, but with this later ovulation this month I'll have to drink in moderation just in case boo

@thislittlebird I was on pred for both my pregnancies and for some of the time in between as well (I’ve got really crappy Rheumatoid). I put on so much weight - I definitely wouldn’t want to go on them long term again 😬

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 the month I got my BFP with DC1 was the one we completely gave up trying. We booked an expensive last minute holiday and spent the full two weeks totally hammered!

@notyetamumbuttrying it's any time, they're just a high protein super food. Oh sa was ok, made him all Nervous about his little
Swimmers but also made him really want to go on a health kick as I told him how much they can be improved if there's issues, so he's been off ordering all sorts to give him super sperm 😂

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I thought it was quick too! Mine was so bad he didn't go to the room, he kept getting stage fright as it was just doing it in the pot at home 🤞🏻

@GuessHowMuch and @Noodella18 do we have a new tried and tested fertility superfood - booze?! I'll happily take that over the sour pink grapefruit I had earlier

@Marvellouslymadmum ahh he got to do it at home. Bless him for being nervous, but good it gave him a kick up the bum to get ordering healthy stuff!

Of course couldn't wait till 12dpo cause when it comes to desserts and peeing on sticks, I am weak.

@Marvellouslymadmum so jealous of your good GP 😂. I wish my husband would go on a health kick, it’s annoying me he’s not trying to lose weight. He needs to shift a stone and I want to see if it helps him.

@AnxiousWannabe I’m already going private for everything but my GP at this point, it’s crazy. About six or seven hundred pounds on private dermatology and prescriptions to get the GP to help and now maybe a private GP too. Not to mention the thousands for private ivf we have planned....😐

I really resent private but what can you do, rock and a hard place.

@thislittlebird I don't know, mine has been for new prescriptions. But you're right, its just a repeat, you shouldn't have to go private for that.

i'm all over the place atm got a very very faint bfp at 8dpo then a bfn today at 10dpo.
which definitely has me thinking its implantation failure.
also had appointment with gyne i was really excited that it was in clinic and not over the phone but was a total waste of time. they gave me a prescription for progesterone but other then that told me I'm unexplained and nothing more they can do for me.
she did suggest acupuncture and a fertility vit online called impryl, which funny enough I've looked into already.
and told me not to waste money on iui and to private fund IVF.

@VixFromThe6ix how long have you been on progesterone? did you do anything else different? x

oh and was advised to stop using okps and just dtd every other day for the whole month no matter if i feel i know when ive ov.

@got2be that is so frustrating.... When we had our second Mc, we base an appointment with two fertility clinics. One was better reputation for helping multiple miscarriage couples but the appointment was 6 months out cause they are booked. The other clinic is Mount Sinai which was available in a month, so this is who we went with. Had our first consult over the zoom call, lengthy medical history questionnaire. She sent us both to do blood tests. I took 18 viles of blood while he only took 4, then I did that ultrasound where they stick a straw into your uterus and spray water into it to see inside and inside emu tubes. My test results came back pretty good, as did his, the only thing was my prolactin being hightened. She advised me to speak with endocrinologist who prescribed me with bromocriptine. Mount Sinai then also prescribed me with progesterone.
So between tracking ovulation by opks and bbt, DTD, laying there afterwards for 15 mins, taking bromocriptine every night before bed, and projesterone two days after ovulation, I am not doing anything more. No special diet, no supplements other than prenatal vitamins. We are also waiting for IVF in case we weren't able to get pregnant on our own.
This is my third cycle with progesterone and it helped me stop spotting before my period. Which I always felt was the reason for my miscarriages.

Is there anything else you can do? Did they do all the blood tests and uterus/tubes ultrasound? Did your partner do all the tests?
Just sounds so discouraging to hear from a doctor, sorry nothing we can do... Go pay for IVF. 😕
