@Jujujuberry aw big congrats hun, fc for a sticky bean!!!

@Pepperony87 I've had that heaviness/achiness too back and forward, I'm only 9wks so probably just a lot of stretching etc but I know how you feel!

I'm 9wk today, still not had my midwife appointment yet, hope it will be soon, so anxious to have something done at this stage!!! Still so nauseous and sick, been vomiting at times but the nausea stays 24/7! Taking it as a good sign but still worrying every single day, loss I guess does that to you!

wag1987 · 25/05/2021 09:56

@Jujujuberry I know me too, would be cheaper too 🤣

I didn't have any symptoms for ages it's only now feel sicky but nothing that affects my day and tired.

Jujujuberry · 25/05/2021 10:29

Omg @wag1987 I was replying to your above message, but tagging in @PlantMummy87 lol ohh is this baby brain?

Wag1987 hope the two weeks before your 10week scan go well!

PlantMummy87 you are in your 2nd trimester wow congratulations!! Oh good tip about the nausea, will try and enjoy these early days for now😊 Oh that is a good idea to book another private scan, why not I say! Thank you for your kind words, I just keep forgetting, then I’m like oh yes hope this is the one 🤞 Have you told many friends and family now? I’m thinking if I make it that far I might wait till 20weeks before, just because its been 2 mc for me.

On that note @H2C12, I’m really sorry your going through your 2nd mc, its just like, why is this happening again! Give yourself time to grieve but also make sure your gp is proactive in getting lots of blood tests done and things checked out. Have you read it starts with the egg? I also have been taking maca powder to balance my hormones. Sending you loads of love, you will get through this ❤️

@AlbiMix thank you lovely!! Its such a strange feeling being superr happy and thankful to also feeling detached in a way. How many weeks are you now? Hope everything has been going great hun? ❤️

Jujujuberry · 25/05/2021 10:32

@gizmo167 thank you so much lovely!! 🥰 x

spookycookies · 25/05/2021 11:32

Can I ask opinions on getting the coronavirus vaccine. I've just been offered mine but I've read loads of stories about it delaying periods or generally messing with cycles and I feel like that's the last thing I need right now. I'm so conflicted.

Pepperony87 · 25/05/2021 11:54

Thank you everyone! They seemed to have eased a little now, which I'm not sure is good or bad but I think I'll just worry either way to be honest lol!! Im only 4 weeks 5 days so got a while to go before I can have an early scan but I will be booking one of I get that far. Last miscarriage happened at 6 weeks but I was spotting from 4 weeks 3 days last time, and thankfully have none of that yet. Have got lots of discharge which keeps making me think I'm bleeding but I haven't been so far.

AlbiMix · 25/05/2021 15:04

Glad to hear it's easing up @Pepperony87 and also great you've passed that first milestone of when you started spotting the last time. These little milestones are the only thing keeping me half sane during these months.

@gizmo167 have you chased up your MW appointment? Is it done through the GP or did you self refer? Just asking because I've had to chase a lot of appointments with the NHS in the past so maybe worth checking if they are sorting it.

@Jujujuberry it's the strangest thing, when I got my BFP I had overwhelmingly bad feelings 😂 but now that I've had two OK scans the excitement is creeping in and I'm trying to fight it back haha. I'm 10+2 now although my scan a few days ago dated at 10+2/3 so a little bigger. They said it all looked good but trying to stay realistic still ahead of the 12w scan, I know people lose babies at this stage still and beyond.

@spookycookies I've had my first dose of vaccine as I'm in the clinically vulnerable category, had it shortly after my MC in February. I was supposed to have my second dose last week but have decided to delay it because I got a really bad fever with the first one and just don't want that in my first trimester. Still don't know whether to just delay until second tri or after the pregnancy (if successful), I'm agonising over it. I'm hoping I'm protected a little with the first one but worrying about the new variant as I had the Astra vaccine which they say is less effective especially with just one dose.

I had the vaccine before my period was due post MC, it came at the expected time (4 weeks after MC) and I conceived after that period. So in my case it didn't affect my period even after the MC, but that was with Astra which they won't be offering you if you're under 40. I would be interested to hear other thoughts on this... it's such a dilemma.

AlbiMix · 25/05/2021 15:05

@PlantMummy87 congrats on hitting the second trimester!

hopenwish · 25/05/2021 15:34

Hi guys! Is alright if I pop back on? I changed my name I used to be ang30 (or something similar). I had to leave MN for a while to get some head peace

I'm SO happy to see BFP and how some of your pregnancies are progressing! x

I'm 12dpo and got a faint positive 9dpo on frer but it doesn't seem to be getting any darker so I reckon it will be a chemical. I've been prescribed extra folic acid, vit d, aspirin, heparin and progesterone from a positive test but im waiting for my missed period before ringing

Gives me so much hope seeing all your good stories though that even if this is a cp that it'll happen for us xx

Greenluce · 26/05/2021 07:52

Good morning all,

Sorry I have not posted here in a long time, but I have been reading all your messages and it’s great to see many BFPs and scans going well 😊

I am sorry for the ladies who experienced a recent MC or are still going through it, it’s a terrible experience, but you will find a lot of support from the amazing ladies in this group.

I have got a question about CB digital OPKs. This is my second cycle post MC and we started TTC again this month for our first.

I’ve started testing few days before my FW and had 3 days of blank circles, followed by 3 days of flashing smiles and today I’ve got another blank circle. Did I miss my peak or I did not ovulate this month? I am so confused! Confused

I usually test first thing in the morning, maybe I should have tested twice a day. What do you usually do?

xx

AlbiMix · 26/05/2021 19:29

Hey @hopenwish how are you getting on? Fingers crossed it may not be a chemical 🤞 hope you're ok.

@Greenluce I didn't want you to go unanswered but I'm afraid I don't know about the digital opks as I just used the crappy cheapo stick ones 😂 but even if you had missed the peak I think you'd still be in with a chance if you DTD that day? Hopefully someone with more knowledge will come along!

hopenwish · 26/05/2021 19:55

@AlbiMix right now I'm okay! Today (13 dpo) my test line was darker than the control but I started spotting. The spotting was a brownish colour this afternoon but nothing since. I know it can be normal but feel like AF is going to start any minute. Hard to stay positive after miscarriages but I'm preaching to the choir!

@Greenluce I used CB for a couple cycles last year but switched to internet cheapies because I kept missing mine with CB

hopenwish · 26/05/2021 20:28

Sorry for the double message! But the bleeding has started so there's me out :( So flipping frustrated :(

Greenluce · 26/05/2021 21:07

@AlbiMix thank you for getting back to me, we DTD every other day for a week, but I am not very hopeful.

@hopenwish I am so sorry AF arrived, it’s so disheartening isn’it? Maybe get some nice treats for yourself, anything that might make you feel a bit better. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, but you’ll get through it! xxx

Kt1111 · 26/05/2021 21:12

I came off the pill about two months ago. Last month I had a period and then we were ttc. I checked my dates I would possibly be ovulating and went from there.
My last period started on the 28th April. About a week ago I noticed sore breasts. Yesterday I knew I had one day till period was due so I did a test and it was negative. I’ve been feeling nauseous for about a week, not been sick but been off my food and constantly feeling like I could throw up. Today I expected AF but no show and I’ve had really bad pains in hips and lower back. Not sure if hip pain means anything. I have had some cramps in tummy b it don’t get period pain usually so it could be that. I’m going to wait a few days before testing again. Anyone else experienced this or have any views on what’s going on. I so want to be pregnant.

Luna2021 · 27/05/2021 15:06

@hopenwish I'm so sorry :(

spookycookies · 27/05/2021 16:33

I know I've asked already but only one person responded. Has anyone had the vaccine and it messed up their periods? I need to book mine and can't decide based on all the anecdotes about cycles going haywire. That's the last thing I need right now.

Lollipop25 · 27/05/2021 16:37

Sorry @spookycookies I declined my vaccine for now so hopefully some of the other ladies can help😬

spookycookies · 27/05/2021 16:40

@Lollipop25 can I ask why? I'm so conflicted

Lollipop25 · 27/05/2021 17:42

@spookycookies to be honest I feel that it's not out long enough for the powers that be to be able to tell us that it's perfectly safe. I was pregnant when I declined. They don't have long term data because it's not out long term. I'm by no means anti vaxx, my kids have all their childhood vaccines which have been well tested. Im cautious as women have been told thalidomide & epilim were safe when pregnant, and turned out not to be. The swine flu vaccine and cervical vaccine have had quite bad press here in Ireland also for detrimental long term effects also. I know others will disagree and that's ok, but for me I'd rather not while I'm ttc. Im rarely unwell and don't have any underlying illness. I could go on but I don't want to start a debate. I would never push my opinion on anyone or tell them not to get it. Your body, your choice.😊

spookycookies · 27/05/2021 17:54

@Lollipop25 that sounds sensible. I'm just canvassing opinions to help me make an informed choice.

MSK1 · 27/05/2021 22:17

Hi all, haven’t posted for a while but just been reading through all the messages. Congratulations to those of you with BPFs. We’re currently having a month off TTC as we’re getting married in 9 months and I don’t want to be about to drop on the big day. Third time lucky on the wedding front, bloody covid!
@spookycookies, I had my vaccine on Tuesday. I wasn’t going to however I had covid last year and felt so unwell, it played havoc for months with my cycles. I’m a teacher so I’ve been working throughout and I don’t want to catch it again. Spoke to my GP who advised me to have it so I have done. Only time will tell if it’s the right thing to do I suppose. If we are lucky to become pregnant before my next dose then I’ll have to seriously think about what to do. As if getting pregnant isn’t stressful enough after a miscarriage, hey?!

cupcakesandglitter · 27/05/2021 23:01

@spookycookies same as @Lollipop25 here, I declined and won't be getting it. I'm not anti vax either! My LO has had all of her jabs - I just don't want to risk it for the same reasons as Lollipop. COVID also messed up my cycle too! There's a large thread on MN from women who have had the jab/COVID and had their cycles messed up, I can link it if you'd like? I just do not think it's worth the risk, personally I couldn't live with myself if there was a long-standing effect on my child... completely a personal thing and it's totally okay, I don't judge anyone for wanting/not wanting it, but the risks dont outweigh the benefits for me x

cupcakesandglitter · 27/05/2021 23:01

Ahh @MSK1 fingers crossed your wedding all goes ahead as planned!! XX

Blondiebrownie6 · 28/05/2021 16:26

Sorry to hear that @hopenwish, it’s so tough and this journey is not easy!!

@spookycookies I’m due my vaccine next week but I’m just about to go into the TWW so I won’t be having it. As someone has said I don’t think there’s enough research long term to be sure just yet. The chances of something happening are very small and I just know IF I was to conceive and MC again in the future I’d blame that when really there would be no way of actually knowing! I think it’s personal preference tbh and I could be over thinking. I hadn’t thought too much about cycles as mine are all over the place anyway but maybe I should look into this more! My partner is getting his but I’ll be delaying for a few months at least.

@Greenluce I’ve not heard that with clear blue OPK, I thought once it detected that hormone it didn’t have the ability to go back to a blank circle ? As someone said just make sure DTD every other day and maybe get some cheapies to do alongside it. Did you have any other symptoms such as change to cervical mucus or rise in temperature at all if you are tracking that?? I’ve been using clear blue this month and use first morning wee. Then a cheapie at 10 and 2/3 once I get flashing face. I got a static today although the control line didn’t seem that dark nor did my cheapies Confused but I’ve had change to cervical mucus this past 3/4 days so maybe I’ve ovulated? I’ll track my temps as that will be the teller for me. X
