AlbiMix · 17/05/2021 18:24

Ah congrats @wag1987, great news that your scan was positive!

Hope everyone is doing ok!

cupcakesandglitter · 17/05/2021 21:57

Thankyou @MSK1 @Blondiebrownie6 I feel like I'm spiralling down a very dark hole so just taking a lot of time to myself x

Maropa · 18/05/2021 13:04

Hi everyone! I am joining this thread although its still really early days for me... one week ago I had a medically managed miscarriage so it will still be a few weeks before my period comes back. I was very sure I wanted to start trying again straight away but I am starting to have doubts and fears. It helps a lot ot read other women's stories. It was reassuring to see other people feeling exactly as I was.

Ralala · 18/05/2021 13:31

Hi ladies , how are we all doing? I’m 7 weeks today. Panic is rising as it all started going wrong for us last time about now with ectopic confirmed bang on 8 weeks. Trying to stay positive for now xxx

gizmo167 · 18/05/2021 13:39

@Ralala OMG 7 weeks already! Hope you are doing ok, its a worry when a "milestone" approaches, well its all a worry after a loss isnt it!

I'm 8wk today, havent heard from midwife yet, hoping I do soon! Suffering still with terrible nausea etc etc but its the anxiety I think thats the worst!

Pepperony87 · 19/05/2021 12:26

So took an early test as I had some pulling sensations in my right hand side and there def is a line, And by this point last time I had really sore breasts and this time they are only mildly heavy. I'm worried it's going to be a chemical pregnancy or I'm going to loose this baby too. Has anyone else had less symptoms following their miscarriage? I know its still so early and symptoms may develop. (Also is anyone else having issues with posting at the moment?)

AlbiMix · 20/05/2021 16:41

Congrats @Pepperony87! I had barely any symptoms with my MC and it's been the same this time, so very difficult to tell what's going on. That's why I had an early scan to understand whether there could be something happening even though I practically felt nothing!

@Ralala & @gizmo167 glad to hear you're doing ok, just got to keep taking it one step at a time. Sorry to hear you're still feeling unwell gizmo hopefully it'll let up soon.

Sorry @cupcakesandglitter you're having such a tough time. Stay strong, you'll get back on track, it's just so tough isn't it. Thinking of you.

Sorry for your loss @Maropa, TTC again after an MC is a rollercoaster but you've come to the right place.

cupcakesandglitter · 20/05/2021 20:17

Thanks @AlbiMix it's definitely a rollercoaster. Just trying to get through it the best way I can I guess x

Hi all, technical OPK question: last month I had 5 flashing smiley days and one steady smiley when I expected too.

This month I'm due to ovulate tomorrow, I didn't have a flashing smiley until yesterday so I thought it was going to be late but it's already gone to the steady smiley today!?

Not sure what to think of this, any insight? Maybe I started testing the OPKs late? I normally do day 8 but I forgot until day 9?

L

LaurenNH · 21/05/2021 07:11

*to 🙄

Maropa · 21/05/2021 15:46

Thank you @AlbiMix! I am trying to take it one step at a time... but even at this early stage I can easily trip into the rabbithole of whatifs!

Reading about positive stories really helps :)

Pepperony87 · 21/05/2021 19:25

By the end of each day I'm feeling really heavy in my womb, which I had with the miscarriage too before I lost the baby, from before I knew till I lost it. I know it can be normal but I just wondering if anyone else has had this and if so how long it lasted?

H2C12 · 22/05/2021 22:34

Hi @Pepperony87 I’m not sure about the feeling, I’ve not had a successful pregnancy yet so have no comparative but just wanted to offer support. How far are you now? Can you go for an early scan? I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Congratulations to the new BFPs!

I’m just going through my second miscarriage, I suspected it was a chemical then tests went stronger and then I lost the symptoms. Looks like it didn’t progress much at all and started miscarrying at almost 7 weeks. I’m wondering if anyone has tried or been prescribed aspirin? I’m thinking about trying it next time. I’m back at the EPAU soon so will ask them then too as I don’t want to do anything unsafe but if it’s not harmful maybe it’s worth a try.

spookycookies · 24/05/2021 19:53

Can I join? I've just got my period back after my second miscarriage so starting this month. 🤞🏻

Jujujuberry · 24/05/2021 21:09

Hello ladies, its been awhile, been dealing with alot of personal health issues. Well today I’m cd28 and did a test and there is a faint positive!! Feeling really nervous though because I have a genetic condition that can cause mc, so just having faith the right egg came along. I just want this one to be a sticky bean, but trying to stay level headed as well.

Sending love to you all and hope your journeys are full of joy and happiness right now

@spookycookies good luck TTC fingers crossed doesn't take too long for you :)

KJLM · 24/05/2021 21:37

Congratulations @Jujujuberry- fingers crossed!x

Jujujuberry · 24/05/2021 21:54

Thank you @wag1987 & @KJLM!! It feels surreal, and not sure how to feel, I wanna be over the moon! How are you both going? Xx

PlantMummy87 · 24/05/2021 23:11

@Jujujuberry congratulations, I've got absolutely everything crossed for you x

Jujujuberry · 24/05/2021 23:46

Thank you so much @PlantMummy87 xx How are you doing? How many weeks are you now? ❤️

wag1987 · 25/05/2021 08:24

@Jujujuberry I know the feeling. You want to be happy which you are but a feeling of worry takes over too. I'm ok I'm 8 weeks now and just taking each day as it comes although it feels like it's dragging. I have another private scan booked for 10wks as I just can't wait and want to make sure everything is as it should be. X

Jujujuberry · 25/05/2021 08:44

@PlantMummy87 8weeks is a great milestone to reach! Do you have any symptoms as well? I actually want to get the morning sickness as it will make me feel like its all good! Good on you for doing a private 10week scan, I would do the same, I wish you could buy your own private scanner 😂

AlbiMix · 25/05/2021 08:52

@Pepperony87 I haven't had that feeling, the closest thing I can think of is maybe some bloating... could it be that or does it feel different?

@H2C12 I'm so sorry to hear this, I hope you're ok. As it's the second time do you think you could push to get some tests to look into it? I know it's meant to be after 3 miscarriages (which is ridiculous IMO) but I've read of people getting tests done after two. I'd speak to your GP about the aspirin question as I think some people take it 'just in case' but I personally probably wouldn't without consulting a doctor first. But others probably know more.

@Jujujuberry congratulations lovely, so happy for you!! That's more than a faint positive! Keeping everything crossed that this is the right egg. I know you'll be anxious, please let us know if you need an outlet. I'd have gone crazy without this group.

PlantMummy87 · 25/05/2021 09:17

@Pepperony87 I also had a feeling of heaviness in my womb/pelvic area for a good few weeks and lots of twinges and aches that made me worry a lot, but I think the heaviness feeling passed around 10/11 weeks I think if I remember correctly, although I'm sure they'll be days that come where I get that feeling again. I'm now 13 weeks and scan showed nothing to worry about. The twinges and aches are fewer between now, although naturally they still do make me worry. Hope that helps, even if a little to know the feeling can be normal. I definitely am way more bloated in the evenings, so think that contributed to the heaviness feeling. Have you got any private scans booked or anything, I know they aren't what helps everyone either though so completely understandable if you aren't having private scans either.

@Jujujuberry I'm just over 13 weeks now. I had my dating scan last week. Feels like time has gone so weirdly as leading up to this point has felt super slow, especially as been consciously taking each day as it comes, but also feel like the time has zoomed past now that I'm in the 2nd trimester. Absolutely get what you mean about wanting the symptoms, I felt the same and have been contending with lots of nausea/sickness but feeling like I'm maybe coming out of that now, although I did learn early on to try to not focus on the symptoms too much as I sworn at times I had 'lost' my symptoms for a day and panic only for the next day for them to increase 500%. In the early days I broke things down into milestones and had a few private scans leading up to the NHS one to ease the anxiety a little, now thinking I might book one around 16/17 weeks as the wait until the 20 week scan seems such a long time. Really hope everything goes well for you lovely x
