Hey all, due to have an early scan next week where should be 6+6 days. It feels like such a long wait and tempted to move it sooner like Wednesday and be like 6+3 has anyone had a scan this early before? I just don't feel pregnant, maybe because I don't have any symptoms I don't know but desperate for reassurance either way.

PlantMummy87 · 09/05/2021 09:40

Hey @wag1987, I completely get the anxiety. I've been exactly the same. I moved my scan up earlier to 6+4 due to this too. But then equally I was also was worried it would be too early to see much (my previous pregnancy I didn't get to the point of a scan so wasn't sure what to expect), luckily the scan was clear and showed a heartbeat. It did unfortunately only reassure me for a few days as from 7+3 I had a big bleed (my previous pregnancy that ended at 7+4 so felt like such a bad sign), so had to have another scan at EPU at 7+4, luckily everything was all okay and the bleed was found to be from a subchorionic hematoma. It has meant that my worry has definitely increased, and I had second private scan recently at 9+2 as I wanted to check everything was okay and if the hematoma was still there. I'm now 10+3 and really itching to get to my 12 week scan to check again. Not sure when or if the anxiety will ever go but it is completely understandable with what we've been through. Also symptoms may or may not be just around the corner for you, I didn't really get many symptoms until around mid week 6, and then they really ramped up at around mid week 7, but everyone is different and they may start earlier, later, or not at all, not that me saying that helps much at all, sorry.
Sending you lots of love through this worrying time xx

wag1987 · 09/05/2021 17:18

@PlantMummy87 Oh my that sounds scary for you, but glad everything is going well for you :) yes I'm hoping all good news next week and should be able to stop worrying so much (in theory) I think I'm going to be nervous throughout this pregnancy.

AlbiMix · 10/05/2021 09:44

Hey @wag1987 I'm the same as you, still don't have many symptoms and now at 8 weeks. It's scary because you read that having strong symptoms is a sign of a healthy pregnancy but I'm trying to remind myself that there can be healthy pregnancies without strong symptoms and vice versa.

I had a private scan at 6+3/4. With my MC, my bleeding began at 7+3 but a scan showed the baby hadn't reached passed 6w and I don't know if it ever developed a HB, so I wanted to check if this one was going in the same direction. Although it's early, it should be possible to see an HB at that time. My scan showed a HB and baby was measured slightly bigger at 6+5/6 and they didn't need to do a transvaginal scan, just the abdominal one but I was fully expecting an internal one. I did find it slightly reassuring although I'm still trying to keep low expectations. I've had days this week where I've been convinced baby has stopped growing because my minimal symptoms have even lessened. I'm planning on booking another scan for between 9 and 10 weeks if I don't bleed before that.

Sorry for this long post - I don't know if it'll help but I don't think it's too early to have the scan if you're anxious. The place I go to does a second scan for free if the first one is inconclusive so that also helped me decide to have it so early.

Keep us posted lovely!

AlbiMix · 10/05/2021 09:48

@PlantMummy87 so sorry to hear about your bleed, that sounds very scary but so glad it was alright and a cause was found for the bleeding.

wag1987 · 10/05/2021 10:43

@AlbiMix thank you for your response. Yes the lack of symptoms is worrying. I'm glad they found HB this time for you and fingers crossed your pregnancy continues well. It's so hard not to convince yourself of the worst happening but if another scan will reassure you then go for it. I think I will be the same as you will want another scan around 9/10week mark if all goes well next week. Waiting until 12/13 weeks is such a long time especially when been through miscarriage as anxiety all over the place for all of us.

I will keep you posted.

Hi everyone x

Totally understand the anxiety, I'm now 6+6 and I had a little bleed on Saturday night, only light pink blob in the loo and a little when I wiped but nothing really since, totally freaked me out as this was how my both mc's started! We had sex on Saturday morning so maybe thinking it could have been that but cant understand why it took until the evening time for the bleed???

Anyhow, be glad you dont have symptoms girls! I didnt have much with any of my pregnancies, with my DD I had evening sickness and it was manageable but this one, OMG, its constant 24/7 nausea and I cant manage to get a call back from the Drs!!!

How is everyone doing? I'm CD 27, 13DPO and trying so hard to wait until the weekend to test. BBT remaining high so fingers crossed. Still, trying to prepare myself for a negative.

wag1987 · 11/05/2021 20:39

@gizmo167 is everything ok now no more bleeding? I know how you feel with my miscarriage it was only the day after the night before sexy time that I started to have light pink bleed and then later found out miscarriage. Reassuring to know you had no symptoms in previous pregnancies just makes my mind go into overdrive and think the worst

Pepperony87 · 11/05/2021 21:58

Hi everyone, I've not been much of a poster more of a reader if I'm honest. I had a miscarriage in March and left it one cycle so this has been the first cycle since that we have been trying again. Its only been about 5/6 days since ovulation but I recorded that I had sore breasts about this time last time (even if at the time I had convinced myself it was just pms at the time) so now I flit between being convinced I'm not pregnant this month and feeling myself constantly to check whether there is any tenderness yet 😓 I have been throwing myself into trying again to try and deal with the miscarriage and I fell first time last time so was hoping for the same even though I knew the chances were super slim. I am already struggling with the idea of AF coming.

KJLM · 13/05/2021 08:15

Morning ladies, I’ve been wondering whether to post or not but I’m looking for a second opinion. I’m not sure what dpo I am - maybe 11/12 as I didn’t track with opks or bbt. I had been testing like a crazy lady since 7dpo and checking my cervix- well it maybe seems I don’t actually know how to check my cervix🙄😂
I had one hcg test left and didn’t want to test early again next cycle as it’s made me so down when getting a negative obvs and decided just to use it and well .... do you see what I see? I am so desperate not to get my hopes up as I am still in the depths of grief after losing our beautifully perfect baby boy at full term last year and our missed miscarriage in February but I am ever so hopeful this isn’t an evap or indent. I am going to go buy a frer today and will let you know.

AlbiMix · 13/05/2021 08:27

Good luck @Pepperony87 🤞

@gizmo167 how are you doing now? Any more bleeding?

@KJLM you've had such a heartbreaking ordeal, I'm so sorry to hear about your baby boy and your MMC. I can see a very faint line there, hopefully the FRER will give you a more conclusive result as they're so sensitive. Good luck lovely!

KJLM · 13/05/2021 08:32

Thank you @AlbiMix as I say I’m not getting my hopes up but a frer will hopefully confirm one way or another.
I know everyone says this but the second line is much clearer in real life 😂

Ralala · 13/05/2021 08:47

@KJLM my internet cheapie looked exactly the same. I went and got a frer and took it that afternoon. Blazing positive. Sooooo I would say things are looking good.... xxx

KJLM · 13/05/2021 08:53

@Ralala oh I hope so! The premom app didn’t seem to pick it up when I scanned it in which has me worried.
It will be what it will be!

Luna2021 · 13/05/2021 09:08

Hi all, Che here, had to change username.

Well, 15DPO and I got a BFP. Doesn't feel real and I'm terrified.

@KJLM I can see a faint line.

AlbiMix · 13/05/2021 09:50

@KJLM they always look stronger in person, it's quite hard to take a pic when the line is faint so the fact we can see something there is hopefully positive but I get your need to keep expectations low (in trying hard to do this during this pregnancy after the MC). But still fingers crossed for you!

@Luna2021 congratulations! I was terrified and super anxious when I got a BFP too. That feeling probably won't go away but try to take one step at a time.

KJLM · 13/05/2021 10:38

@Luna2021 congratulations on your bfp too!

So I’ve nipped out to the chemist and got a frer and there’s a line!! Will test again over next couple of days and pray for line progression!

Luna2021 · 13/05/2021 10:44

@AlbiMix Thank you, very comforting to know others have felt the same. :)

@KJLMKJLM Thank you lovely. There is a line there. How many DPO are you?

KJLM · 13/05/2021 11:43

I have no idea how many dpo @Luna2021. I gave up with opks this month, I might be 11/12 dpo but I have no way of knowing for sure. I guess for me the stress of opks was just too much!

justwant2beamum · 13/05/2021 18:37

Hey all I've been MIA a bit but can I jump back on?

Congrats @Madeoftea how many cycles post mc were you? 🤞🏻 for you.

I'm not hopeful for this cycle as my partner was away for work. I ovulated (I think) last weekend so I drove 5hrs to see him to DTD but I think I maybe had already ovulated so maybe too late but oh well! So I'm not hopeful for this month but have accepted it.

I'm also having a major busy/stressful time as I'm changing jobs so I think I'm 5dpo today which is passing the tww a bit quicker this month!

@KJLM @Luna2021 congrats hopefully May is a lucky month 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LaurenNH · 14/05/2021 06:24

Congrats on the positives guys! @KJLM looking forward to seeing that line get darker!

I've just realised that DH is away next weekend Fri-Sun and I'm due to ovulate Sat which is a bit of a bummer! Will have to DTD to bookend it but it's put me on a bit of a downer to be honest!

L

justwant2beamum · 14/05/2021 07:46

@LaurenNH that's actually not as bad as it sounds. Sperm can live 3-5 days and apparently it's better if they are up there already waiting for the egg. That's why you should DTD in the fertile week on the run up to ovulation. You don't actually need to do it on ovulation day. DTD Thursday night would have you covered if you ovulate Saturday. Or Friday morning before he leaves? Xx
