Well that was an ovulation tea party to remember! 💃🏼🥑🍍🥗🌮

Thanks for turning up you lovely lot and so Welcome back on board the bus where our route now takes us through the POAS early corner of shame to the “I’m gonna wait until AF is late this time” and then stopping at the fertility clinic to drop off a bunch of giggling girls going to get their foof felt up by a load of nurses and hopefully get impregnated by them! 🤞🏻

This bus is the one where TTC happens in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

@Franklydear that's so nice that he wants to know everything. My OH is good up to dtd asks for flo calendar to see OV date and asks about OPks then silence on the subject.
No one knows were trying so don't have anyone but you guys to talk to. My Mum basically said why would you want to have more kids now, so I've stopped telling her stuff.
Oh unforgiven is a very sad song, one of my favourites!!!

I feel PMSie so that's probably not a good thing.

@Thinkingandblinking yeah I wish it was more common to get dna frag tests done as part of MC investigations instead of just assuming it's the woman's fault!

@bez91 omg a landscaper? I wish we could see your garden then! Ours is v small and I love gardening so I'm worried once we put a patio in for an outdoor seating area that I'll have lost half my garden...

Had my blood test done yesterday! NHS obv messed it up though as the consultant hadn't supplied phlebotomy with the right paperwork so I ended up getting rejected and having to run around the hospital trying to find the pre assessment dept to issue my forms asap so I could actually have my bloods taken. @paintfairy I found out what they were for in the end - all the pre op checks for blood type, clotting, platelets etc in case I end up needing blood transfusions.

Next thing on the agenda is my covid swab at the drive thru clinic tomorrow! and then it's self isolation time

Hi @VikingsandDragons I've just joined too and also finding it a tad bit hard to keep up. Sorry to hear of your struggles, I can't imagine how difficult it must feel knowing your body can get pregnant but it's just not happening anymore. I've just resigned myself to the fact my body is incapable of making a baby, I've never even seen a hint of a line so I've asked DH if we can adopt lots of cats instead and live our childless lives as crazy cat people 😹😹😹 recently adopted a kitten as an emotional support animal and she's kept the tears at bay for sure!

Keep strong! Have you been to see a fertility specialist? Not sure if you can be seen on the NHS as you already kids but might be worth going private?

@Juno231 Jesus- sounds stressful! I would have cried and gone home. 🤣 What is it with the nhs and blood? 🤷‍♀️ At least you know what it's for. When is the op again? I was trying to work out how long you had to isolate for. And yeah I think they don't test for enough. I mean @Thinkingandblinking had the antibiotic issue. And like you say the dna stuff. You'd think they'd check? They did run some extra tests on my friends DH but it was like right at the end and they literally couldn't do anything else (not entitled to nhs ivf) but I don't know why they don't as standard. We could all be wasting our time?

@DOB78 mine literally has zero input. Or clue about anything going on. 🤣 I never even tell him if I've tested. Mainly because it was never likely to say yes. He did ask if I should be jumping around earlier though (was doing an emkfit video) and I said I'm sure it's fine.

@paintfairy I just don't think they get it sometimes, how difficult, frustrating or draining ttc can be. Any hint of emotion and he's rubbish. It's like I put my sperm in the right place at the right time I've done my bit what more do you want🤦‍♀️

@DOB78 same. I actually had a go at him yesterday. I don't expect him to pander to me. But there's been no affection or hug or asking if I'm OK. He then went- why, you aren't in pain are you? I would have expected you to say if you were? 🤦‍♀️ I was like- firstly the fact (after 24 hours of being inseminated) that you don't exec know the answer to that question, is not good enough. But also- do i need to be physically in pain for you to ask if I'm OK? Like- it's not just about that? So no, they don't get it. Because I think even after that he was clueless. 🤣 He's hung the washing up today and i can tell he's trying to make an effort. In his strange way. But...... 🙄 Men!

@paintfairy hahahaha "why, you're not in pain are you?" killed me! ffs. I bet he hasn't asked when/what the next steps are either? Aka showing any kind of interest. I feel like the more I talk about it with OH the more he feels involved/knows what to ask about next time though - but it's still poor compared to what any of us would do/say without prompting. He even asks me what my temp is like every now and then lol!

My op is on Tuesday so only need to self isolate 3 days. Basically after the test so that I don't catch anything in the interim.

@paintfairy I think men understand physical pain and at least he's helping with practical stuff but emotional stuff scares them.
I haven't even bothered telling OH about BFN or how I feel about it. Even if I do get BFP this month I'm not saying a word see how long it takes him ask.......

@paintfairy men are useless. I'm pleased it's not just mine as mines really pissed me off this morning. We have our own business and he's badgering me about stuff at work and I'm like atm I couldn't give a s@*t about work. I feel lousy and have enough going on so atm he needs to step up and deal with whatever but his answer is "you're only injecting yourself"!!! I may well be injecting myself but the injections aren't the problem it's how they are making me feel that is 😠 Oh and his constant moaning that we can't have sex everyyyyyy flipping night 🤦🏽‍♀️

@Minster2012 scan on Monday. My ovaries are deffo responding as they're starting to ache like they do on Clomid (esp the left one which cyst is on). Just hope they're not over responding 😬

@DOB78 I don't think you'd be able to keep it to yourself if you got a BFP! 😂

@Crazydoglady123 thank god its isn't up to men to carry babies can you imagine if they had to inject themselves and the side effects that comes with it, they'd be in bed for weeks!!!

So had all my bloods done today so fingers crossed. I mentioned low dose aspirin but she said she wants to see one of my levels in my bloods 1st (ah well I i have some already) 🤣🙈 🖕

Having really mad dreams atm. Life like kinda dreams. Hoping that's good as I'd mad dreams b4 my bfp in aug. Fingers crossed. Nipples have calmed down. Had about 3days over ovulation they were so sensitive 🙈 havent had that in ages so hoping that means I ovulated 🤞🤞

@Minster2012 just done a digital!! Says 1-2 weeks....jeez thats a relief! I had visions of it saying not pregnant 🤦‍♀️

@Juno231 I'm not surprised the nhs messed you about but well done getting it all sorted. It was like me when they didn't send the Covid test and I was stressing about getting one in time! Also, I forgot to respond to your earlier msg about the pre op stuff, I knew a phone call wouldn't have been enough. It's swabs and bloods and height and weight etc. Why's it such hard work eh! At least it's only a 3 day isolation, mine was 10! Think I only did 6 days in the end. Managed 5 days post op as went out on Sunday to feel the sun on my face. Bandages are off now too and I only took painkillers once yesterday. Might actually have sex weekend this too as periods due to end today 😬

@Minster2012 I've just spoken to him again (I got really cross and upset earlier so got in my car drove off) and just re iterated that right now I don't want anything major to do with work. I'll keep on top of the admin stuff at home but especially as I'm meant to be isolating and have all the IVF crap to deal with. He just has chosen the wrong time to start a project and he can't just do one, so trying to start more but I've just said it's his choice to do it so he can sort it. I think he's finally getting it now but even at home atm he doesn't help me in anyway. He doesn't put the dogs out before bed even if I ask him, he never gets up to make me a coffee in the morning but he's always kicking my bum out of bed to go make him one. I knew this would be my biggest hurdle with IVF is him not understanding how I feel. I'm a strong person generally and have a high pain threshold but that's no excuse for him not to be caring. Grrr men 🤦🏽‍♀️

@Crazydoglady123 honestly totally get your frustration, mine was/is the same where last time in oct he forget all my appointments didn't wish me luck & then forgot the day we agreed to test, left me in tears to go shooting & didn't contact me ONCE during the day. I booked myself into a spa for 3 days & told him I was going as I was sick of doing it all alone, bearing everything & either he bucked up or that was it. A business is very consuming of course but they forget this is also like the most important thing and it's on your shoulders. Big big big hugs, it's really tough but keep talking to him
