@spttc yeah I find this hard to gauge because there’s such varied suggestions. Husband did first one with about 5 days I think, then second with maybe 2 days. Second result had lower motility and lower vitality.

For men with sperm issues more recent research is saying twice in one day produces better results so maybe that’s why they’re all so indecisive 🤷‍♀️

@got2be I had that issue of it falling on a weekend too, it’s super annoying. Mine acted like I was talking nonsense when I asked about day 3 tests . Got tired of caring and just went for the day 21 again which still took from December request to February for test.

What was your FSH and LH?

@thislittlebird omg that's interesting. Yeh I'm seeing so many varied opinions! I'm leaning towards 24hours abstinence and get the actual real measure based on activity during fertile week. I mean we aren't only doing it every 5,4 or 3 days during fertile week so what's the point of getting those results I guess. Thanks 🙏

Sounds like a good plan @spttc, I think I’d do the same given the freedom to choose!

@thislittlebird but saying that going by your chart it does show you are were your meant to be so would be interesting if i did them on day 21 or you did them on day 2-5 to see if it still goes by chart.

@elsieg3m I've had blood streaked egg white mucous today which is very random! And I assume the start of my period, which would pretty much work with my dates. Onwards and upwards!

@spttc 3 days is optimum. Defo don't do it the night before lol!

@notyetamumbuttrying but I guess what's the point in knowing his result for 3 days when we do it every 1-2 days to ttc? It would be like doing an open book test I guess 😂 Then when it's comes to the real deal it doesn't work. If he was giving sperm for iui or ivf yes absolutely 3-5 days etc for the best possible result. But I think we'd prefer a realistic result to see if we can TTC naturally....in doing so we can't only have sex every 3 days 🤷🏻‍♀️🧐

@spttc yeah that's true. We were told anywhere between 2-7 days so went with 3, but go with 2 days abstinence if you usually do it every other day.

@notyetamumbuttrying they really are, thought it looked a bit weird.

MNHQ are on it, I wasn’t sure if someone had reported it. I don’t even know what the rules are with studies and stuff being posted so I just stared at the message lol.

It totally should be but my GP just love being the actual worst. Yeah that’s what I’m telling myself. The AMH is high, the day 21 is low, and the chances are day 3 will be low too.

@got2be just saw your FSH and LH, they're pretty normal so I would expect your AMH to be in line

My FSH and LH are normal but not AMH sadly! That’s why they’re a bit confused with me!

@Misty84 thanks for that, have you read up on why it can happen?
and are you taking coq10?
i'm really worried about mines, bec cause everything else is normal trying to think positive but also need a plan if not good.

We had our tests done on Monday 15th February....so imagine his face when I told him we couldn’t have sex over Valentines Day weekend 😂 I think we may have done it on the Friday night, and then the tests were on the Monday! No drinking, no smoking, no sex....I let him have one small glass of wine on the Saturday night though with our “romantic” dinner, I’m not a complete bitch 😂

@Misty84 they're confused with me too! Fh, lsh, afc all normal but my amh is on the low side and doesn't match my afc. I guess they'll know more when they come to collect my eggs for ivf! I wonder if I have empty sacs 🤷🏾‍♀️

@got2be Nothing that’s helpful. I started taking Ubiquinol this month. Doing everything I can to improve egg quality as clearly that’s vital when I don’t have many left!

@Misty84 nice to know I'm not alone in my low and unmatching amh 😂 yes so I start ivf this month! Down regs first starting on weds with first scan booked for 17th May! You?

@notyetamumbuttrying That’s very exciting! I’m slightly terrified by it all. Which clinic are you going with? I have an initial consultation on fri, hoping to start properly in the summer once I’ve finished a particularly stressful job. Also I used to only take Pregnacare and this is my first month rattling around with all the ISWTE advanced plan supplements so I wanted to have done that for 3 months before starting ivf (unless the consultant says to just get on with it!). I know I’m probably delaying things because still praying it’ll just happen naturally, I’m scared about injecting all those drugs into my body plus the fortune it’s going to cost us and the additional pressure of that 😕 But it looks like no choice!!
