Oh god I’m an idiot lol. Just realised I was thinking of the afc article not the AMH one lmao. ANYWAY @spttc ignore my crazy lady ramblings, I’m talking nonsense.

@thislittlebird that really is a crazy range for every age! I really wish they would explain things to us properly - I've had my blood tested for about 30 different things and I was just told everything was normal apart from my iron but some of the other levels are also in the red not normal bit! @ElsieG3m I think I may just agave a bit of a temperature for some reason

The good thing is @Misty84 is your afc is in line with the average here in this study so it’s not bad.

With those AMH numbers in mind that @spttc shared, you aren’t far out of those either @misty84.

@thislittlebird mine is private too. This clinic just insist on the consultant having a full consultation while giving you the results. They don't want to give them to you and have consultation later. I guess it means I won't be left wondering they will explain it all and next steps there and then. This is only my 4th month trying so not very long. Fingers crossed all is well. Although a friend of mine was offered a free AMH test a while back, took it on a whim as her sister wanted to etc. She was given devastating results. Told she would be unlikely to conceive naturally etc. she got pregnant the following month, first month trying! She's now on her 2nd child, again got pregnant first time 🤷🏻‍♀️👌

@Marvellouslymadmum I’m losing the plot, I’m talking about AMH, then posting stuff about AFC, I’ve spent too long talking about this stuff and it’s all blurred into one 😂

It annoys me when they ignore things outside of the parameters. They don’t seem interested. You haven’t had your AMH or AFC done, right?

@spttc yeah exactly. As long as there’s eggs you’re fine, it’s only when you go for IVF that AMH matters a bit more.

I can’t remember how I found out my AMH results, I guess the consultant told me. I had the tests on the Thursday and the consultant appointment on the Monday, so they were very fast I’ll grant them that.

@Marvellouslymadmum don't rule it out as @ElsieG3m i second the sauna.

info on amp is great, i have one next week so scared results are bad and thast what has prevented bfp.

@thislittlebird 😂 sometimes it gets like a big ball of infor in your mind and all rolls into one! No haven't had either done yet but as they're both mainly for ivf and oh doesn't want to take that route at the moment I'm in no rush

@got2be I'm just trying not to get my hopes up, it's so crushing when you do and get that bfn again! Amh won't stop you getting pg naturally unless it's literally 0 as it correlates to egg reserves so only really means how many eggs you may get in response to fertility stims

@Marvellouslymadmum my bloods sound like yours low iron everything else normal but on the low side. I've started taking b12 vit d iron and vit c in hopes to get them all in optimal range rather then normal.

@got2be my iron was so low the doc put me on 630mg a day! It came up to nearly where it should be and I'm now on 210mg a day. I don't even know what half the tests are for cos they've done so many!

@Marvellouslymadmum i totally understand how crushing it is, i log everything now and the months i get high temps i also get other symptoms. but only ever a faint line an af or just af.
it really just makes me think its implantation or egg why things go wrong, why I'm finally getting amh. im not having IVF partner is against so can only continue naturally.
does make me think there is just a missing piece to the puzzle and if we keep symptom spotting taking bloods changing things each month a bfp will finally happen x

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah that makes sense! I’m getting a list together for my appointment Thursday and going to hope things go fast from here towards ivf. So worried they’ll say keep trying, but really we have already. We tried for six months at least after the initial tests, then more months after the referral. I think we’ve done our waiting.

@Marvellouslymadmum wow that's a really high dose im on 200mg a day. its gone up to 66 but i believe thats still on low side so continuing to take every other day.
i've had them all i research an call gp think they've totally had enough of me but do think im getting closer to working out what the problem could be.

@got2be that's exactly what it's like, my gp has deffo had enough of me lol got a call tomorrow to talk about endo referal too lol

@thislittlebird I don't think they'll tell you to just keep trying now, you've done lots of that 🤞🏻 they'll get moving quickly for you!

mines told me to wait as im already with gyne so will bing it up but still got 3 weeks to wait.

can i ask for those that have had AMH. if you amh was in line with lh/fsh?

@got2be I have been referred to gynaecology but I've been told you need to be referred to a gynaecologist with endometriosis specialism and the wait for my original apt is not until around November

@got2be I've had my amh done and it didn't correlate to my afc. I don't think it's meant to align with your lh/fsh.

I think @got2be means how one is supposed to be low and the other high? I think, anyway @notyetamumbuttrying

So for me I’m not quite sure because I’ve never had a day 3 test. But my day 21 lh/fsh tests did correlate in terms of having rather low LH/FSH (1.something each time) and rather high AMH (36).

I suppose if they didn’t correlate you’d have say, an AMH of 25 and an FSH of 18? Or an AMH of 6 and an FSH of 2? Both low, both high? That kind of thing.

@notyetamumbuttrying @thislittlebird thanks yes i mean if lh/fsh are low was amh high or if lh/fsh were high was your amh low. bit of a tongue twister lol
i have my lh/fsh on day 3 but was actually thinking to ask for them on day 21 as i think it could actually show if they rise normally.

@got2be @thislittlebird sorry ladies, being slow today! Yes so mine did make sense then, as your fsh is meant to be low and your amh and afc are meant to be high. I need to check what my lh was as I can't remember now but my fsh was below 6 I think and my afc was 12.

I’ve wondered what mine would be on day 3 @got2be but no one was interested in checking that so far. The hospital will I’m sure. This chart makes me hopeful it will be similar to what it is on day 21 for me.

Kind of off topic but not really.....for those of you whos partners have had sperm testing..... did they abstain before? If so for how long etc. My clinic are saying ...no abstinence necessary, do it the evening before if u like etc...and if he does abstain it must not be over 5 days. Other clinics say abstain for X amount of time, all seem to say differently .....I THINK World Health Organization say 48 hours but I'll need to re-google that. I kind of feel surely it makes more sense to only abstain for the amount of time you would while in fertile week...unless you plan to do it only once etc

@thislittlebird thats a great chart. and yes shows you were low when its meant to be. my gp would not even refer me until i did day 2-5 lh/fsh and day 21 progesterone. kept falling on a weekend so took about 3m.
im a little more hopeful now that my amh will be ok. should get them back this week so will update on them then x
