I really hate this part! I’m debating whether to order a Frer and test on Saturday.

@Noodella18 good luck for #2!!!! For me, it's my first. We had two Mc along the way in the last 1.5yrs. went to a fertility clinic and did a consultation. They said nothing is wrong just keep trying, so we've been trying for the last three months. Hope for good news this month, 9dpo today. 🤞🤞🤞🤞 p.s. your ovulation stick looks like it's high but not a peak. The line has to be darker than tester line, so maybe later today. 🤞❤️

@Katiekattty good luck my dear. Fingers crossed for us both!! It's nice to see other girls my age trying for the first. Feels more encouraging. I'm definitely the last and oldest of my friends so it gets a bit lonely trying to relate.

@thislittlebird I'm going to be 38 in August :) are you doing anything special to try to get pregnant or just trying your luck? I'm tracking ovulation and finding that baby dance has changed from going spontaneous to planned lol

@VixFromThe6ix I can’t go through the NHS unfortunately as not eligible (AMH level too low) so we have to go private, no waiting list for that just costs a bomb!

@VixFromThe6ix I’m 38 in August. Frer is the First Response Early Result tests.

@Misty84 I had no idea you could not be eligible. I have a friend that didn't want to wait so they paid for IVF, so I know how expensive it is. But if it works and gives you your little baby, it would be worth every penny.... I'm sending you my most positive vibes ✨

@Misty84 it's really a kick in the gut... One thing is to get a BFP and the other thing is to go through with it. If and when I get my next BFP, I can't even be excited because I know what had happened twice now. So you're constantly living under stress not knowing if it's gonna make it or if it's another flop.
But I gotta stay positive and hope and pray that if we don't get naturally pregnant again, that IVF will hopefully help...because like you said, if not, we are totally screwed and out of time.
It's quite a mind FK that all the tests came back as if we shouldn't have a problem getting pregnant and keeping it this time... But it's month three trying since last Mc and not yet pregnant...makes me wonder how the tests could ce back so positive and we are not pregnant.
Sorry for my ranting on... I honestly have no one else to talk to except for this board and girls going through the same hell I am...

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind if I join! I'm 38 and ttc #1 on cycle 3. Had a bit of a weird start on cycle 1 as for the first time ever period was late and had lots of pregnancy symptoms but then period came 8 days late! Currently 4 DPO but my luteal phase was mega short last month and I ovulated to late again this month for a long enough luteal phase so not holding out much hope!

Welcome all newbies! 👋 I am 39, TTC#1. Actively trying for 13 months, plus about 6 months NTNP before that, came off the pill when I was 37... Will be starting private IVF in 6 weeks' time unless I miraculously get pregnant naturally before then.

@Sleeeeeepy I'm sure my periods used to be 5 days before I started TTC, and I had some heavy flow days. Now they seem much lighter and have pretty much fizzled out by day 3...

Jealous of all you ladies with ample EWCM. I hardly seem to get any nowadays 😣

Depends on definition of 'trying' We started 'seeing what happened ' about 2 years ago, and when F all happened, made more of an effort to time things well from about July last year. Only started delving into the magical world of OPKs and supplements at the start of this year and now kicking myself for not being more proactive sooner

My periods got notably lighter about 3-4 years ago and my last once was lightest ever- one day of actual bleeding followed by one day of spotting. I'm worried about that and lack of EWCM 😩

@Misty84 did you manage to re-schedule your HyCoSy?

@Kitekat81 That’s the same as mine! Fizzled out by day 3 😕 Definitely didn’t used to be like that!

@KatRee I also kick myself for not being more proactive sooner😔 I guess I just had faith that it would happen!

Yes I’ve managed to rebook the HyCoSy with the NHS in the first week of May. Saves me £500 at least!!

Thanks ladies, seems like about 5 is normal then. I'm on day 9 and it seems to have finished so was about 8 days which does seem on the long side. Any ideas how to shorten them?

Thanks for the new thread. I’ve been quiet as struggling with life slightly 😆 nothing major just lots of small stresses (TTC one of course) adding up to a big headache. Im 6ish DPO and part of me hoping it hasn’t happened this month due to aforementioned life struggle. Sending lots of good luck to everyone testing soon and signing up for IVF x

@Sleeeeeepy my periods would last 5-6days 2 days excessively heavy and painful then a couple of lighter days then the rest spotting. The first two days are unbearable with pain and flow! But the rest is ok. I think mine have got heavier and more painful at the beginning than they used to be- not sure why.

@Loladoodle I'm 15DPO today . Really faint pos on 12 DPO on FERR but hardly anything on the easy@home looked a little bit darker yesterday I'm going to do another FRER tomorrow morning and hope for a dye snatcher . I guess with my age (38) I'm super scared of miscarriage.
