@got2be ah I get that. Mine was very careful about keeping me covered as much as poss etc but I do totally get that. Assume you've had all the APS, NK tests etc? And aspirin, progesterone, not helpful?

Noodella18 · 29/04/2021 11:22

@ElsieG3m yes, I used pregnacare cycle 1 and then added a whole load of random supps in cycle 2 and pushed my cycle out from 28 days to around 34 days :( I'm stopping everything except Folic acid and Vit D

ElsieG3m · 29/04/2021 11:22

@got2be thanks! Totally agree. I'm sure you'll find your way lovely xx

ElsieG3m · 29/04/2021 11:25

@Noodella18 thanks! I don't think my cycle has changed in overall length but I've had all these weird early preg symptoms for three months like nausea, bitter taste in mouth etc. - and Ov towards later stage of cycle. Had me convinced the first two months - now just think it could be the vits.

got2be · 29/04/2021 11:46

@ElsieG3m no had no tests other than ones done by nhs, and being told there is no reason to have problems.
re aspirin was told not to take till i get to 12w and won't give progesterone as my levels at day 21 are ok.

im looking to make an appointment at st marys ldn with raj rai as i believe its an immune problem and have read he is good with that.

selina37 · 29/04/2021 13:06

Hi @Misty84 no sorry i meant my youngest is 11.5! It's feels like I've been trying for that long though!

ElsieG3m · 29/04/2021 13:14

@got2be that's the right person to go to. He will help. I saw Lesley Reagan there before she retired. She wrote the amazing book on recurrent miscarriages which I really recommend and Raj worked for her. I'm so sorry you've been told that by NHS. So many women benefit from baby aspirin 75mg but has to be started with physician approval. But Raj will I'm sure find out what's going on. Could be something as simple as progesterone, aspirin or something immune related. A girl at work had miscarriage after miscarriage and saw him. She just needed progesterone. She's currently on Mat leave 😊

ElsieG3m · 29/04/2021 13:16

@got2be ps aspiring at 12w is WAY too late. I have low protein s in pregnancy and was told it's an issue as soon as I get a bfp, ie I clot from at least day of period/kissed period. Xx

gigchic · 29/04/2021 13:20

Sooooooo.... 4 days late and sore boobs prompted me to do a test today ☺️. Seems we're on a roll with those cheap easy @ home tests this week! Just hope it sticks 😬

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/04/2021 13:28

@gigchic whoo hoo! Congratulations 🥳 amazing you waited so long after your missed period too! 👏🏾

got2be · 29/04/2021 13:30

@ElsieG3m i did these bloods but was never told what they meant.

ElsieG3m · 29/04/2021 13:32

@gigchic CONGRATULATIONS!!!! 🥳

got2be · 29/04/2021 13:33

@ElsieG3m yes I've heard good things about both. ill look into the book, there is another one is "is your b body baby friendly" that i saw think ill get both.
from what i read 12w is too late but when i asked he said no yet nurse in epu said to take it so all confusing

ElsieG3m · 29/04/2021 13:36

@MgW1 yes lovely - went to loads of them as was convinced I had APS. It was amazing. Key when there's a prob is to find the right specialist. Where are you going and how many MC have you had? I had two but paid as I'd had the stroke too so it was indicated as blood clotting issue and they were thus willing to see me. Apparently you're no more at risk of another miscarriage if you've had 1 or 2 but because I'd had the blood clot, dvt and stroke I was concerned. So yep saw Lesley Reagan, Pat O'Brien and some
Rheumatologists too. Had aspirin and take heparin from point of positive pregnancy test. Most of the time with recurrent MC there's a fixable problem. So very sorry for your losses xx

ElsieG3m · 29/04/2021 13:37

@got2be Raj will put you on that and progesterone hopefully. Report back?! Appt is so soon - loads of luck xx

got2be · 29/04/2021 13:37

@gigchic congratulations. xx think i might stock up on some of those x

got2be · 29/04/2021 13:51

@ElsieG3m waiting for raj rai (private) to get back to me with appointment but also have one booked with NHS next month miscarriage clinic.

gigchic · 29/04/2021 13:51

@notyetamumbuttrying I was trying to avoid a BFN! I also ovulated late in my cycle so thought I better wait. 👌.

Noodella18 · 29/04/2021 13:55

@gigchic yeahhhh! Congratulations! 🎊 🥳🎉 that's such great news! And what a lovely strong line! Woohoo! Do you mind me asking how late your ovulation was? Looks like mine was on CD22 and now fretting that my egg will have deteriorated 🙈

MgW1 · 29/04/2021 14:01

@ElsieG3m
I have 2 children
Had mc in sept at 13 weeks, then 2 chemicals at approx 5 weeks. Then this month I had a faint line and then AF on time 2 days later so think was a failed attempt at maybe implantation. I dont think i can take aspirin , just read it interacts with my anti depressant ( my experience made me anxious and depressed) because the anti depressants thins the blood anyway so would need to speak to specialist about that.

got2be · 29/04/2021 14:10

@MgW1
i'm thinking i'm failing at implantation too as have noticed since mc I've had a lot of faint lines on test the af 2 days later bang on time.
at first i thought test was faulty but now i buy 2 from different brands and test at same time.

gigchic · 29/04/2021 14:13

@Noodella18 ovulation was late for my cycle at cd15. My cycle is usually 24 days so I didn't think that would give me enough time. I'd counted myself out this cycle and went to the pub last weekend! 😬🤦‍♀️. It's only my second cycle properly tracking things though so I was clearly wrong at what my body will do! Keeping everything crossed for more BFPs in the group soon 🤞🤞

MgW1 · 29/04/2021 14:14

@got2be
I tried 3 brands! Defo faint line , i was going to test again but AF arrived. When was your mc? I think mine could be progesterone deficiency since 1st mc x

got2be · 29/04/2021 14:31

@MgW1mc was aug last summer, my progesterone then was 48, hcg really low did double 2 days later then declined.
