@got2be thanks for the kind words, love. I appreciate you spinning positive take on this and you're very right. I was wondering if something was wrong but this experience let me see that I'm ok (after I got down on myself) and we can do this. My poor partner was gonna take a day off from work after seeing how upset I was lol I think I'm just tired and today I ugly cried after so long and it helped me feel better.

Eiremogra · 24/04/2021 15:33

@got2be same re: arse!!! Didn’t help that I had 4 staff around me looking at me like I should be locked up somewhere..or admitted! I’m still doing the OPK..peak as yet...also...no patience for this s@$t!!!! Angry

Eiremogra · 24/04/2021 15:33

no peak as yet

Missmcmonkeymcbean · 24/04/2021 15:38

@KatRee - thanks for the tip. I've been taking it whilst still in bed but if I wake up early I'm waiting until its the same time I normally take it which I guess could be throwing the temps off a bit. I'll make sure going forward I take it the minute I wake up and only the once!

got2be · 24/04/2021 15:53

@VixFromThe6ix thats ok, "you can't have a rainbow without a little rain" a good cry is often needed, gives us the chance to get everything out then continue stronger. x

@Eiremogra well af is now 4 days late, going by normal 28 day, so i'm trying to use that as i ov late and see if it comes by tomorrow.

Hello all!

May I join you? I can’t remember which panicky Google search brought me to this group, but I came across it a couple of days ago and it’s taken me that long to catch up on the 40 pages of the last thread, and the 13 pages here! So in a strange social media way I feel as though I’ve been chatting with you all already....

I’m nearly 37 and about to start TTC with my fiancé; waiting for my period to start so that I can call it CD1! After a long series of events (which I won’t bore you with), I was intending on freezing some eggs and so started all the tests at the Lister earlier this year. With AMH of 6.6 and 15 follicles they’re not the lowest results by any standard, but the “lower than average” results gave us a bit of a push and we decided not to freeze eggs to TTC in a few years’ time, but rather to cancel all my other life plans and start trying ASAP! May is the first month we can try as I had to have the MMR boosters, and I’ve been doing everything I can to try and prepare my body (and his).

My body hasn’t responded well Confused and in the last month I’ve had no EGCM (usually can set my watch by it) and a much longer period than usual. It knows I’m watching it....it knows!!!!

Anyway, sorry for the very lengthy introduction! I’m just so happy to have found some people who will understand everything, and it’s so good to hear your stories, experiences, and expertise!

Misty84 · 24/04/2021 16:32

@ImpatientTTCer Welcome👋🏻 And I’m impressed by your commitment to the group haha! That must have taken a long time to read!
Ooh I hope your experience with the Lister has been good as I start with them in a few weeks. (I’m nearly 37, very low AMH of 2.3, AFC at last check 10, been TTC no.1 for 21 long months...)

Definitely sounds like your body knows it is watching you!

MgW1 · 24/04/2021 16:40

@VixFromThe6ix
As crap as it is ... about 70% of all conceptions end in failed implantation or early chemical. Be positive ..... next month could be it 💪😘 xx

Sleeeeeepy · 24/04/2021 17:04

I'm sorry @VixFromThe6ix that really sucks. It must feel rubbish but in time I hope you see it as a positive, that's how I see mine now as at least I ovulated. This cycle I was still having a bit of brownish bleed yesterday on CD13 and have totally missed ovulation. I also saw 4 very pregnant people out walking which always makes me feel very grumpy. I hope next cycle is the lucky one for us x

VixFromThe6ix · 24/04/2021 17:17

@Sleeeeeepy I hope so too. After a big cry I've calmed down. it sucks but what can I possibly do except try and try again.
I am sure we will both get a lucky cycle and celebrate together 😊

VixFromThe6ix · 24/04/2021 17:24

@ImpatientTTCer welcome!!! You found the right group to join. I did what you...ghost browsed for couple days and then joined.
Sending babydust your way.
P.s. don't worry about "boring" us with details. Its literally what we all do. We share details and ask for advice and that way whoever went through something similar can comment. So feel free to say anything.

VixFromThe6ix · 24/04/2021 17:25

@MgW1 🤞🙏💪 waiting for the next cycle ....

spttc · 24/04/2021 17:28

@ImpatientTTCer what a great intro! I love it! I'm a newbie too 💁🏻‍♀️ I just turned 35. Currently 1 day late for AF and negative tests so that's always fabulous 🙄🙈 I'm expecting to be cycle day 1 any moment now. I'm going into my 4th cycle. WELCOME 😁 And best of luck 🥰🤞

MgW1 · 24/04/2021 17:56

@VixFromThe6ix
Get you hubby some maca root x

ImpatientTTCer · 24/04/2021 18:01

@Misty84 thank you!

Yes, my experience there was very good. I went there on a recommendation from a friend who froze her eggs there in January last year! The ultrasound technician was actually so good that she spotted a tiny tiny dermoid cyst on my ovary and the consultant was surprised it was even spotted because it is so tiny. (Tiny it may be but I’m convinced it’s the cause of the excruciating pain I sometimes get during sex. The neighbours must think I’m either being murdered or having a great time!)

21 months is a long time, I can’t imagine the frustration you must be feeling. Honestly though, the Lister seemed really good so you should have faith they’ll do all they can to help you! Fingers crossed!!

got2be · 24/04/2021 18:12

been in another group discussing symptoms of endo, heavy af, clots, pain, and the link to OV pain and how others including myself were diagnosed with ibs, but they all have endo so thought id share this with you all.

VixFromThe6ix · 24/04/2021 18:14

@MgW1 ohh what's that??? Maca root?

thislittlebird · 24/04/2021 18:16

@Misty84 thanks for the plastics info, I’ll have a read soon. I’m struggling because I want to get decent quality stuff and then I read you shouldn’t buy things made in China because they can contain lead in the glass????? It’s a minefield. So far I’ve found some Pyrex glass storage containers made in france with bpa free lids. Might get those initially.

@ImpatientTTCer that must have taken some reading, welcome! Good to hear you’re looking at/going with the Lister too. I’ve been considering them lately. They work with two doctors I’ve got my eye on which is appealing, and they do unlimited FET in their 38-39 year old package with Access. I’ve just missed out on the 37 year old packages because the NHS have been so slow 😭. Plus they have a satellite branch at London Bridge which suits me.

I didn’t know Misty had chosen to go with them either. They appealed to me because they mentioned Mild IVF on their site as well as regular (I don’t know what I can have or will need exactly yet, beyond short protocol of some kind because higher AMH). And the aforementioned doctor(s) we’re going to see soon work with them which seems positive.

I’m glad you’ve liked them so far. Did you feel pushed towards IVF at all? Who did you deal with after the tests? I had a weird experience with with Care when I had some scans and it really put me off (not by the nurse, mostly by a clueless admin person).

Misty84 · 24/04/2021 18:31

@ImpatientTTCer That’s great to hear about the Lister, thanks! Yes I feel very impatient and frustrated after so long of trying, not to mention more than a little bit pissed off!

@VixFromThe6ix Sorry to hear about your CP, and you’re exactly right when you say what else is there to do but have a big cry and try again?!

@thislittlebird It is a bit of a minefield with the products, I guess all we can do is our best!

ImpatientTTCer · 24/04/2021 18:32

Thank you @VixFromThe6ix - and I’m sorry to read your news. I hope there’s a takeaway and a bottle of wine on the cards for tonight?!

You’re kind to say it wouldn’t be boring people, it was just life circumstances that had been particularly hard (a glut of family deaths) which lead me to decide to grab life a little harder and follow some dreams! I got a place on a masters course and was going to quit my job, sell my flat and move to Scotland for three years! Hence the egg freezing plan. But the shock of my results really highlighted how much I wanted to have children, and I decided that trying for a baby was more important to me than the new career, so I’m staying in London....let’s see what happens. Maybe I can do a different course somewhere else one day.

@spttc Thank you! We can be newbies together! I’m currently on CD36 but definitely not pregnant as I had to wait for the vaccine to leave my body first, meaning we’ve been ultra careful with contraception. Didn’t stop me from doing a pregnancy test this morning though GrinHmm....fingers crossed you get a positive result in a few days’ time!!

MgW1 · 24/04/2021 18:45

@VixFromThe6ix

MgW1 · 24/04/2021 18:46

@VixFromThe6ix
I got a faint line yesterday and day before and bfn. AF due tomoz and iv been having my usual cramps. Got a bottle of wine and kettle crisps , its hard work all this !!! X

ImpatientTTCer · 24/04/2021 19:45

@thislittlebird We had our consultation with Dr Nandi, who was very helpful and didn’t push me towards IVF at all, or egg freezing. She said (very fairly) that it was very difficult to give me any advice on whether we’d have any issues when we hadn’t started trying yet, but did rather pointedly say that it would be wise to start sooner rather than later. She said to try for 6 months and then come back for more scans/ tests if no luck by then (such as the awful sounding dye test). It absolutely wasn’t cheap, but I suppose all private clinics cost about the same for these sorts of things?! I think I paid about 700 for AMH, ultrasound, sperm test, and consultation. All the staff I encountered were friendly, kind, chatty, knowledgeable....

This was at the Sloane clinic, but my friend had her eggs frozen at the LB clinic and said the staff were excellent there too.

VixFromThe6ix · 24/04/2021 19:48

@MgW1 oh interesting!!! Thank you for the tip !! I'll get some from Amazon.
Omg so I tested again today and got a dainty line again, but not darker than yesterday or day before...
I feel like someone's messing with my head.
I literally thought tonight I'm gonna have couple glasses of wine after my stressful morning.
What do I do???? I'm still thinking it's a chemical but why negative with first pee and still positive with second pee?
