@Geriatric1234 haha thanks! You are hilarious too! Re Brazil nuts, they're apparently very good for fertility in general, even after the two, and for men too. I made Brazil nut cookies yesterday and they are lush 👍 my partner is a gp and very skeptical about any supplements so I have to stealth dose him with good stuff. Last week maca chocolate cake, this week Brazil nut cookies 😂

@misty84 errrrm two sex does not happen in this household if sex has been had 8 times in fertile fortnight (stupid late ovulation) so twice is a good effort!

I'm 13DPO today.....af due any moment. Waiting for next cycle to begin 🙄🙈 I'm only heading into month 4 but have consultation & testing for myself and my husband booked in May. Maybe jumping the gun but I just really want to get the ball rolling. Has anyone else done that before? Or had any fertility treatments. I'm nervous!

Morning all! Celebrating my name day (OH is Greek).
I've decided to stop doing any tests. OPK, pregnancy anything.
Millions of women get pregnant without any of this, so I'm not going to overload my wobbly mind with data which seems to not make a difference anyway!
As with everything in my life, I've spent so many months and years waiting for good things. They eventually have come my way but not when I wanted them too! When they needed to. I have to use life experience and believe here too.

@Geriatric1234 I may just have to get some Brazil nuts 🧐 I've just started a supplement called proceive max women (there's a men's one aswell) it's for women over 35. I'm also taking 600mg ubiquinol, low dose aspirin & dha. I'll try anything 😅🤪

@spttc I absolutely agree that you should start getting tested, there are so many delays with the NHS that it all takes forever. You might have to say you’ve been trying a bit longer than you have though. (I believe it’s over 6 months if over 35). So you could wait a couple more months or just fib and get the ball rolling. It will start with blood tests and it is useful to know where you’re at.

@ShirleyValentineManc Happy name day! That’s a really good attitude. We’ve been putting our life on hold TTC and we’re not going to do that anymore.

@Misty84 I'm in Ireland so we have HSE rather than NHS but I'm going privately or I'd be waiting ages! My health insurance covers some of it thankfully! Even privately I booked it in February because I knew there would be a wait. May was the first appointment they had! So glad I booked well in advance. We will be on 4th month trying at consultation but I did add two extra months on my form so they will think it's 6 😏😅 If I'm not pregnant by July I'd have no hesitation in doing IVF. I'm doing SMEP "Sperm Meets Egg Plan" this month so fingers crossed. @charja100 saw me talking about it on another thread 😂👋 But it's meant to yield great results

@Eiremogra Grapefruit juice is supposed to improve the quality/quantity of your cm. Like so many of these things if you look online you'll find lots of sources explaining exactly what chemicals it contains that would have this effect and forums like this with women saying how well it worked for them, and you'll also find articles saying there is absolutely no scientific evidence it does anything and women saying it did nothing for them. But certainly can't do any harm, right?

@Missmcmonkeymcbean I only just started measuring bbt, but I was under the impression that it had to be done as soon as you wake up because it will very quickly start to rise and it's that first reading that's the important one

@ShirleyValentineManc happy name day! Agree that's a great attitude. Probably most of all this stuff we do makes zero difference, it just gives us a sense of control in a situation where we really have no control at all. If it's meant to happen it will happen when it's meant to, and you might as well enjoy life in the meantime! x

@Eiremogra yes i was spotting for 2 days and cramping but nothing like on the day of HSG.

i OV later too as when i tested for progesterone on day 21 & 23 it was only 10.9 & 20.7 then had a scan on day 28 which lady said i had OV so im thinking i did around day 18/20.

af is late too im now day 32 and have never had a cycle this long.

@Eiremogra when you had hsg when given results?
did they mention anything other than tubes?

So I have some brown spotting which I don't know is due to light period (no ovulation?)?
But I didn't test. Hanging in there lol

@Kitekat81 @ShirleyValentineManc I agree regarding the attitude. Doing all this stuff hasn’t done anything for me, and this morning I woke up and realised I’d forgotten to ovulation test.

Then I thought ‘should I even worry???’ and the answer was no. I don’t know if everything is working as it should, might as well just try to do it every other day as near to that as possible right now. Not sure if I’m ovulating, certainly aren’t producing much progesterone, his sperm are barely swimming the right way....might play it by ear a bit more since it will likely get more intense with assisted in the coming months (for us anyway).

@02carol I mean it worked last time, we conceived second month with my daughter and I had him on the maca banana bread 👍

Well, there we have it, ladies. My first chemical. Tested today and got a stark white strip. Cried for an hour, but crying ain't gonna fix nothing.
Now I just gotta somehow not test till 14dpo next cycle. Not seeing that line get darker was discouraging....
Is chemical considered a miscarriage? Or do people use it as a separate thing when they talk about failed attempts? Like I already had two Mc, is this my third or what should I think of it?
My friend also cancelled on our plans today...I spilled the milk all over the counter when making coffee... just not a good morning for me lol

For all you know, it's probably a faulty test and not a chemical. If your period arrives within a week you are fine. Just stop thinking.

Let's both stop testing until a month after our missed period moving forward?
Personally I don't think it matters whether it's a cp or failed attempts or MC, putting a name to it at such early stage added unnecessary stress to me. Like I was worried each time now .. what if it's another cp ?

It's a cycle. You get your period. A fresh cycle is starting. Let's try again !

@AnxiousWannabe it lines up to be a chemical. There was a super faint line last three days without any colour progression and a negative today. At 14dpo the line should be strong and visible. I'm ok if this is what it is. I came to terms with it after a weak moment. Good news is that we can get pregnant, so gotta think it will happen for us soon

@AnxiousWannabe my partner doesn't want me trying till 14dpo next time...I told him it's a good idea. But saying it and following up with it are two different things 😂 although going through what I went through this time sucked so I'm leaning towards not testing till 2 weeks post ovulation

@got2be They only mentioned my tubes but tbh I was a complete mess before/during/after the procedure so I think they just wanted me to leave - plus I nearly fainted afterwards so through the snotty tears I asked about the tubes and was told they were fine and that ‘it was all worth it’... I didn’t ask about anything else but am going to request my full results this week. Thanks for the heads up re: late ovulation...

@VixFromThe6ix so sorry to hear it was a cp please try not be so hard on yourself about testing early.
if you didn't you would have just assumed a normal af and that ttc was impossible but as you did as hard as it may be its shows you can, take the positive from it that it's shown you can conceive, as thats part of your battle won.
the things your doing must be working so im sure it will again soon x
