I'm on a mix of menopur and ovaleap this time. The menopur you have to mix powder and solution for each dose which is daunting but I remember it being fine when I used it for egg freezing years ago.
I took 4 weeks off for my first cycle, more to get away from work stress than anything. This time I'm using my holiday to drop my days to 4 per week with possibly an extra day around egg collection and transfer. I dont think I needed the 4 weeks just for the ivf but having some extra time is nice if you can. Wish I could have more this time but holiday has its limits!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I’m self employed so I’m planning to take the egg collection/transfer week off completely and maybe cut back on work the week before and after too so I can take it easy.

@notyetamumbuttrying sorry to hear the buserelins catching up 😬 I'm looking forward to it. I'm still anxious as I don't know what the embryos are doing and this is the worst bit for drop off day 3-5. I've been having sharp pains in my ovaries if I say sneeze or jump up too quickly so will see what's happening tomorrow at least.

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I'm lucky I'm self employed so can work my own hours but I'd say to try and take off from day 5 of stims till after EC at least if you can

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker can't help you, new to this world too. I know I'm taking menopur to stim. Ooh good job it's this month then.
So I'm thinking the day of and after EC off and then some time around testing to celebrate or commiserate. I don't need to take time off for scans as my boss knows and said just to take it as I would any other medical appointment which is lucky.
@Crazydoglady123 didn't take long did it, only day 3 😆 ooh interesting. Is it morning tomorrow? How's your sleep been btw? As soon as anything remotely anxious in my life happens it affects my sleep. I can't imagine how it'll be when it comes to EC and transfer!

@Crazydoglady123 best of luck for tomorrow, at least its relatively early. Are they calling you in the morning to give you numbers or just going to tell you when you get there?

@notyetamumbuttrying I think that's around when mine kicked in. They linger, I warn you! Mine used to be there all day and by the evening would get bad. Make sure you drink lots of water. My sleep was awful up to egg collection but since then I've slept as normal and I'm actually not too anxious now really. I think I've just realised it is what it is now.

Thank you @Motherofkittens28. I think they just tell me when I'm there tomorrow unless there's a problem but I'm in an hour before transfer for acupuncture too.

@Juno231 you've done well to keep quiet when your FIL has directly been asking for grandkids! I'd definitely have snapped 😅 My DH has always been the same wanting to keep quiet. Even still he thinks we should hold off so we haven't told anybody but that is down to the bleed/spotting I've been having too. We're not confident at all right now that the pregnancy is going to stick but just trying to keep positive and keep going, as us ladies all have to do every day!

@2020mission I am not entirely convinced this is going to be a successful pregnancy either tbh! But I am having lots and lots of white discharge - tmi but when enough to feel like a period 😂🤢

But time will tell, I am not testing again untill my period is late on monday

@2020mission don't worry too much about the spotting (easy to say). I've been in a&e this week due to a big red bleed, and given my miscarriage history, thought the worst. Had an internal scan and they found a little bean with a heartbeat!
Apparently spotting is dead common, as worrying as it is. Something to do with the cervix being super sensitive.

@Theawkwardblonde good to hear all is well with you. I had tiny spotting first on Monday, a red light bleed with mild cramps on Tuesday and then spotting on and off every day from Wednesday - today. I was told my cervix is irritated at a smear I recently had in March (smear came back all clear). She said my cervix was bleeding a little and red and usually happens due to hormone imbalances so I'm just hoping the flood of hormones running through me has triggered my usual cervix irritation and that's all it is. Still never easy though! How far along are you?

@2020mission yes mine was put down to my cervix. Still having a bit spotting now. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow-so nervous every day but trying not to worry!
